If you need something right now or have any questions, the staff are super knowledgeable and can answer detailed technical questions and make recommendations on basically any home maintenance project you can think of. Even when I've had weird questions or need technical advice for art projects or other super outside the box requests, they always have knowledgeable suggestions even when I never would have expected them to have an answer! That's what makes a place like this worth it over somewhere like Home Depot where none of the staff has any technical knowledge. Plus they have literally everything you could need for an apartment or dorm, which makes sense considering they're right by a university.

This included supplies for my kitchen, bathroom, and bedding. They have a little bit of everything, and in some interesting styles. Checkout was quick, and I chatted with the staff while I waited for transportation. NYC had a heat wave that day, and I was not hauling things in that crazy weather. I tend to prefer Marshalls over TJ Maxx due to availability of deals and quicker lines. This location in Harlem was surprisingly better stocked than the ones in Brooklyn and going early, it was a much smoother and pleasant shopping experience. The shelves were more organised, the lines were shorter, and the prices were the same, if not better. The only thing is that there's no bathroom inside (that I could find) and there are cops inside, so that might change you're experience.

I couldn't be happier or more satisfied with both companies. Ilona at Demolition was so helpful and patient with me. She went out of her way to help navigate what would or wouldn't work for my project. She she spent loads of time to find the perfect solution to my unique security problem. She was candid and had loads of amazing tips for the care and feeding of old wrought iron. This project would have stalled without her. The pictures show the iron door in the second stage. Final painting will happen when the weather warms up. Thanks Ilona it's been a great experience. You have so many beautiful things, I want more!

Furniture appeared OK just checking upon delivery but two pieces were missing some washers that are supposed to hold screws inside. Had to bring the pieces to a local hardware store because it was an odd size. I didn't feel like calling the company again because they have been incredibly irritable to work with. It is 2/24 and the item is still "awaiting pickup" I am now being told it will take another 2-3 weeks to arrive to their warehouse before scheduling a delivery date???? Absolutely f**king ridiculous. You can't get in touch w a single person over there- even with direct phone lines and email addresses. No one answers unless you call the claims department. I'm so over this company already, and as someone in the trade, I expected a much better experience than the one I got. So disappointed. 10/10 would not recommend, would never order from here again.
