Chicken tastes boiled/frozen. Piccata is never whatever that sauce they put on it is. Long wait for inedible food. Don't waste your time.

It is away from from the beaten path of the Smokies and they recommend reservations for dinner. Open at 3pm, I called and he gave us a 6:15 time which worked well on a slower Wednesday. The entrance gives way to a nice bar area with a few TVs, booths and white linen tables. We each settled on a bottle of Sangiovese and Pinot Grigio and the mussels appetizer and bruschetta. Our waiter Andrei was professional and prompt. We decided to have a glass of wine and enjoy conversation and our apps without ordering our entrees and expediting the occasion. Andrei checked back several times and kept our waters full and was very patient. We settled on clams fettuccini with a white wine butter sauce and my lady got the mussels in the same sauce. It was a garlic lover's delight and I'm certain I'll never be a vampire. We enjoyed the setting and the atmosphere was relaxed. A liquid dessert pour of tequila and whiskey settled us and we skipped dessert although it was tempting. Overall the prices were a bit higher but the service was excellent and our meal rang true. It was a great first impression and we had leftovers. It will be added into our rotation and look forward to trying other pastas and seafood.

The Frutti di Mare is phenomenal!!!…read more We happened upon this wonderful location by watching "Adventure is Out There" on YouTube. Totally off the beaten path, and so worth it. Just when you think you're lost, you arrive. The Focaccia bread that is served really good. Suggest getting marina as opposed to olive oil for dipping. The meatball was nice sized (big enough to share) and marinara sauce was really good. The Frutti di Mare was suggested by our waiter Anthony (very knowledgeable about the menu and offerings) to use white wine sauce. It was a great suggestion. The ingredients were obviously fresh and the portion size was easily shareable. We shared a Tiramisu. And let me preface that my wife has never liked this dessert. But the YouTube review swayed her perspective. And she loved it. You can tell that it's a labor to make (we talked to the owner's wife and she concurred). The only negative would be due to personal preference. The Caesar salad dressing didn't have anchovies. It was lemon forward and good, but it's just something that we like.

We ordered the gluten free chicken Alfredo pasta, and when we said no asparagus, they quickly suggested another veggie, which was awesome. We also tried the mushroom pizza. Probably, the later you get there, reservations are necessary. The interior was quite vibrant and well-lit, with both booths and chairs for seating. Service: The staff was very warm. Right from the hostess to our waitress, they embodied the Southern hospitality that the region is known for. Bites: For appetizers, we ordered calamari with lemon aioli and marinara. I admit I had a little skepticism about the calamari (before ordering) because I've had enough overcooked ones before. But the calamari at Roma Table was cooked to perfection, and the lemon aioli was AMAZING, so zesty, fresh, and creamy, it complemented the crispy seafood. The marinara was good too but totally overshadowed by the aioli. I highly recommend this! For the main course, I ordered a pizza. It was a bit of a letdown. I should have ordered their pastas, which they are well known for. The pizza was bready, and there was a very thick blob of mozzarella, which was a little icky for me. It was a big blob on every slice, which you could literally plop out. The pizza, I guess, is highly skippable. Overall, if I overlooked the pizza, I would definitely give Roma Table another chance next time.

It's inviting, intimate, and thoughtfully designed. This is a great spot for a date night or a dinner with family. That said, the overall vibe leans more toward a romantic evening setting than a kid-focused restaurant. It's the kind of place you take your wife for a nice night out or bring someone on a first date when you want to make a solid impression. When we arrived, we were seated quickly. The restaurant was about half full, yet it maintained a calm, relaxed energy. It wasn't loud at all, which made conversation easy and enjoyable -- something that's becoming rare in many dining spots. Our waiter was extremely helpful and genuinely kind. He answered every question thoroughly and spoke very positively about both the food and the restaurant overall. You could tell he believed in what they were serving, and that confidence matters. The only real drawback for me was that the desserts weren't made in-house. For a restaurant with such a strong, authentic feel, house-made desserts would have elevated the experience even more. For my entrée, I ordered the chicken cordon bleu with salad and pasta topped with marinara. The dish was good, but if I'm being completely honest, I felt it needed more seasoning. When I eat Italian food, I want bold flavor -- I want to get hit with basil, garlic, herbs, and depth. The seasoning felt a little light, and that was the main thing missing for me. Outside of that, the meal was enjoyable. One thing I truly appreciated was that the owner personally walked around checking on guests and asking how everything was. That's a touch many restaurants could learn from. It makes people feel valued and welcomed -- like family. And that hospitality element is something they absolutely got right. Overall, I think this is a place most people should try if they haven't already. It delivers a warm atmosphere, solid service, and a dining experience that feels personal. I'll definitely be back.

The food, while fresh, is mediocre-tasting. Nothing to write home about. It'll do if you go in with tempered expectations.
