New comer to supper street. The neighborhood is a little light on Chinese food so this is a welcomed addition. The place is called Sichuan house but the menu is watered down by other types of Chinese cuisine. It's a real shame. There is Sichuan hot pot and a handful of Sichuan dishes so there is a chance to get a taste from the region. The spice is really mild so if you want spicy, you might need to load up in the chili. All that said, the dishes have pretty good flavor. All of the dishes were seasoned well which means the food was not too salty.
I would stay with savory meats such as beef, pork and chicken. The chef is a bit too heavy handed with the sauce for seafood.
Overall, it is a solid addition to the neighborhood. The store is still getting set up so the decoration ships start looking more Chinese in the coming weeks. read more
