Got dinner here on a solo NYE trip. They opened May 2025, and I'm so glad a quality Asian place exists in little ol Salida. Same owner as the nearby sushi spot. I got the Khao Soi Northern special, fried noodles in red curry with chicken. I'd never had it before; it was flavorful, rich, and excellent for a cold night. Generous portion (and I eat a lot). The manager Thuma and the server (sadly forgot his name, it was pronounced like 'bright') were the real highlight -- Thuma was doing everything in the restaurant but still found time to pour some house sake and drink with me (I sat at the bar). We got to talking well past closing, what a crazy life that brings people of such wildly different backgrounds together for even just a night. I'm leaving this review because it's such an excellent establishment with wonderful and genuine people who make great food, and I truly hope they succeed.

Great rich and tasty Tankatsu Ramen with duck and Tom Yum with beef.

Had the Tom Yum with glass noodles and tofu. Well worth it. Fantastic food without the crowds, and the service was great!

The location in the middle…read moreof town was convenient, there was adequate, free parking diagonally on the street in front of the restaurant, the outside was nicely decorated, the inside of the restaurant was rather plain looking, but clean and had some interesting photos and paintings on the walls, no music was playing, there was no free WiFi, our server was nicely but I couldn't understand his heavily accented English, we wanted a table that would sit us closer to the floor, but the server wouldn't let us sit at either of the open tables with low seating because there were only two of us (rude and acceptable), the menu was limited but okay, our meals were tasty but quite expensive, and the restrooms were large and clean without any bad smell.

Also, and this has happened before, the young lady/waitress/owner etc does not have a pleasant attitude and her follow up is close to abysmal inasmuch as we have to waive her over for any additional requests. We don't recall anytime that after we placed the order, received the order or were ready to pay the bill that she just stopped by to see if we needed anything. Seems like she was doing community service rather than trying to be a successful restaurant. We wish them luck, this town needs a restaurant that is not your standard fare.

We took two seats at the bar and were lucky enough to have Tina helping us, she was so friendly and knowledgeable, really a gem. We started with the fiery passion and the rum sour and were impressed by the complexity of flavors in both, the fiery passion was a real winner, with a taste of passionfruit, and the habanero pineapple in the rum really coming through, but not in a overly sweet way, just enough. The chili sugar rim was a unique way to really set it over the top. The rum sour was also delicious, the Demerara, giving it almost a hint of an old-fashioned, but keeping it light and foamy throughout. Such an incredible set of cocktails. I also had the tomato bisque soup, it was so yummy and cheesy, and the staff were nice enough to bring out some local made bread toasted on the side. Then, Tina made us her own special cocktail, a take on a strawberry spicy rum, with an egg white to give it a delicious foamy texture. All the drinks are delicious, and Tina noted that they were the strongest cocktails in the area, with 2 1/2 shots per drink. We were definitely feeling fun and talkative as we were leaving. This place was so upbeat, with games to choose from, but still keeping a refined mountain vibe. We tried to go back again the next day, but had finished earlier and the bar didn't open yet! Bummer. We don't find our way to crested Butte often but next time we are there, it will surely be a stop.
