Salida is a small town compared to many places in Colorado. So the competition may not be as much as say if they were in Denver but if they were there they would still shine because they're just that good. The burgers are very tasty, the fries are great, a large fry will feed two people easily. The shakes are really good. Just like in the past they come out with a full glass plus the remainder of shake in the stainless mixing cup. It's well worth the stop if you're in town and hungry.

The sauces are probably one of the biggest things for me. Mugi seems to get the amount right every time. Before trying Mugi, I used to go to Pikes Poke pretty often, but I had a lot of inconsistent experiences there. There were also times when the fish tasted really fishy and just didn't seem as fresh, which was a big reason I started looking for another poke spot. It's a little bit of a drive for me, but I think it's worth it. After going twice and having a good experience both times, I'd definitely choose Mugi over the closer options from now on.
