Thai Cuisine Salida CO…read more I heard this was Salida's go-to destination for authentic Thai food and it doesn't disappoint. A quaint food truck with vegetarian options, the meal was hot and made fresh. The colorful truck is at 15th and Highway 50, Rainbow Blvd. I ordered a to-go order: Pad Thai with shrimp, Green Curry with shrimp, Spring Rolls with peanut sauce, crab rangoons and Thai tea. Delicious and amazing! The green curry was the best I've ever had. Thai spicy made my nose run from the the goodness. Try them! It's worth the trip, the wait, and when you get home to eat it up good. You'll be glad you did. 110 East 15th Street Salida, CO 81201 (15th and Highway 50 Rainbow Blvd) https://www.thaicuisine-salida.com/

Ignore the decor, and the lack of cars in the parking lot. (lol) the food was effin amazeballs! It's what you'd expect from a hole-in-a-wall Thai place in the mountains. So yummy. My son eats a lot (and I mean a lot) of Thai food in the Los Angelas/Long Beach/Fullerton areas. We ordered our favorites and was so not disappointed. Seriously, he kept making sounds of food ecstasy (I'd tell him to shuSh, but we were the only ones in the restaurant.) Ü If you're passing through, or lucky enough to be a local, go here. Really.

The curb appeal should have been the first indication that it may not be the best food but we gave it a try anyway. We got the teriyaki chicken with fried rice and pad see ew ( which wasn't on the menu but the owner said they make it). The teriyaki chicken was so dry my husband didn't eat it. And the pad see ew was very flavorless and missing the sweet soy sauce that usually comes on the dish. We literally paid but left full plates of food on the table. The 1 star was only because the owner seemed nice.

We stayed in town with friends this last weekend and we brought them to Sushi Thai on the first night. It could not have been any better. The shrimp pad Thai is absolutely freaking delicious. I also got three pieces of salmon sushi and added jalapeno and oh my dang, I did not expect it to be that delicious. I absolutely loved it. My wife also got the shrimp pad Thai, but our friends got pad se ew and Thai fried rice and they also loved it. The following night we went to Buena Vista for dinner and noticed there is also a Sushi Thai there as well. On our way home to Colorado Springs, we stopped for lunch in Woodland Park and freaking noticed there is also a Sushi Thai there as well! This makes me so happy. I highly recommend Sushi Thai.

It was very expensive but Salida is a tourist economy town and we were there during the high point of the summer tourist season. A perfect location but parking might be difficult. They had two handicapped parking slots across the street. I recommend this restaurant and will probably return in the future.

First, the restaurant is beautiful, nestled in the heart of Buena Vista on Main St near all the excitement! The decor was perfectly placed with an elegant feel of a jazzy night in a forest. The ambiance was nice, very clean, and the service was top notch! Chris and Goff (sorry if it's spelled wrong) helped us last night and today when we went back to try the lunch specials. They remembered us and were always kind to check on us if we needed anything. Our plates were always quickly cleaned off our table and the waitresses were very kind and polite. The food was impeccable! The miso soup was refreshing with a strong dashi broth to warm you up on a cold night. The I Love Salmon came with 5 pieces of sashimi, 3 nigiri and their JB Roll (salmon and cream cheese). It was beautifully plated on a playful and colorful plate. The pieces of fish were thick and the rice was warm with a perfect amount of flavor. This is honestly my favorite sushi spot after trying many sushi places across California from LA to Humboldt and in Las Vegas from Tao to All You Can Eat options of every tier. The dragon roll was another plate of perfection with thick pieces of shrimp tempura with a good crunch to it! Today we came back and tried their lunch menu. I was surprised to see it not as busy as the lunch menu has great options and prices! I got the pad Thai box which came with chicken or tofu pad Thai (I got chicken), 4 pieces of California Roll, 3 pieces of nigiri and 3 pieces of sashimi for only $22. Honestly that's such a steal! My husband got the curry box which came with a bowl of chicken curry, steamed rice, 4 pieces of California rolls, 3 nigiri pieces and 3 sashimi pieces for the same price of $22. Perfect if you'd like to try a sample of different things they have. We also tried their Seafood Sampler which came with Calamari, Fried Shrimp and Fried Crab. It was a great appetizer and the sauces complimented the seafood so well. On a side note the little slices of oranges that came with it were also really sweet! I wish I had the whole orange. Lastly we shared the mango strawberry float which is a refreshing sweet drink. The mango on top reminded me of sherbet which was very light and the drink had a good sweetness to it from the strawberries. This is definitely a must go to if you're in or driving through Buena Vista, Colorado. Perfect place for any occasion with a calm dimly lit restaurant. Thank you again for the meal and the hospitality! We can't wait to go back!
