Gyoza

Lovely decor, friendly staff, and delicious food! This small, but lovely restaurant is somewhat hidden in the back corner of a strip center, so it can be hard to see. But it is worth seeking out. Service is friendly and helpful. There is traditional Japanese seating at the back and Americanized seating at the front. Today I tried the Haru's Tonkatsu Black, which is a spicy Ramen with black garlic. I added spinach to it as well as hot chili oil. It was delicious. I also ate an order of gyoza and took home a mini bowl of chicken Karaage over rice. They serve hot tea, sake, and some other beers and drink drinks, but no iced tea - that is the only thing I would wish for at this lovely restaurant!

Came in with some friends for ramen since it was chilly out. I ordered the miso tontoksu and everyone else ordered the black garlic. Mine was good. It was above average for the area. Service was good and the place sparse but clean. My friend found a long hair in his soup so that sucked but he found it towards the end of his meal so it was what it was.

This place is amazing!! The service is great, ambiance matches the service, and the food is always impeccable!! My husband and I have it every other week for date night and it NEVER disappoints.. Great quality ramen and other entrees as well.. You must try!

Staff was friendly and fast! At our request, we were seated at the horigotatsu, which was very comfortable. We came in during the early afternoon, so the atmosphere was quiet and relaxed. A couple of notes on the appetizers: The karaage was tasty, but the large pieces made it difficult to share--cutting them into smaller sizes and providing plates would make it much easier for groups. The calamari had great flavor, though I'd love to see it served with tentacles included, not just rings. We also tried both the spicy and regular teriyaki chicken udon--beautifully presented, super flavorful, and very filling. A friend had the pork belly and rice and enjoyed every bite right down to the last grain.

Definitely my favorite place in the springs! I come here often and it never disappoints. Service is always friendly and fast. Music is at a reasonable volume. Food is always fresh and tasty. Spicy is definitely a lil spicy if you're not used to it, always recommend this place to my friends!

After a long fun day exploring Boulder, we drove home and we're starving. We all really wanted ramen so after yelping, we found this place and based off the reviews, headed here. The place was really busy, great sign of course. We were still able to be sat right away to our relief. We ordered some ramen, a sushi roll and the karaang bowl. Everything was delicious, but for everyone the ramen was the star here with the sushi a close second for everyone. The ramen (tonkatsu) was so flavorful, the pork belly was so soft. Oh man and the egg was perfect. The corn added some natural sweetness that truly rounded out the bowl so nicely. My husband said the spicy tonkatsu was perfect. I can't wait to come back on a cold night and warm up with a bowl of our now favorite ramen spot in the city.

I did not expect the place to be practically full when I walked in. Ordered a tonkatsu ramen and a sushi roll. They were delicious!

This has the most delicious tonkatsu ramen, I add chili oil to it and it has the perfect amount of spice and savory.

Shuga's Favorite Cafe Tray is an order that could satisfy one's entire meal but is best when shared as a starter or if you are looking for a light meal. The Mediterranean selection with the hummus and tapenade is amazing with the coconut shrimp soup being a must try with its creamy and spiciness. Though I love the almond butter cake the most to add a little dessert to the meal. The Madame of the Pletzl is one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had. The bagel is perfectly salted and has a wonderful crunch the sandwich needs. The egg melts into the sandwich, mixing with everything it needs to. The ham is fried up to crisp it up a bit but the ham seems to be lacking flavor wise compared to everything else in the sandwich. The Cuban Mojo Sandwich also is an amazing sandwich. The pork shoulder is crisped up nicely and works so well with everything else. The winter soup was a tomato soup with some grilled cheese croutons and it is the best tomato soup I've ever had. The tomato soup isn't puréed, there are noticeable definitions in the tomatoes in the soup. The soup isn't too acidic which is the usual issue in tomato soups. The croutons really amplify this dish on to another level and I just wish there were more in my soup. I can't wait to come back here and my biggest issue will to try and order new things.

Once mixed together, the yolk coats everything into a delicious fresh dense bowl that's deeply satisfying without feeling too heavy. The crispy calamari was a great, light, crunchy meal. The octupus pieces were thick and paired well with the sweet chili sauce. The breading wasn't distracting but rather adding to the flavor. The thai chili salmon plate was bright and fresh, with a nice balance of glaze, greens, and noodles. Overall, higher quality for lower price. We will be returning. Cocktails were just as thoughtful as the food -- vibrant, fruity, sweet, and beautifully presented. If you come here, order the Seoul Bowl. It's comforting, flavorful, and easily the standout dish on the table

Tong Tong Korean Restaurant is an absolute flavor bomb and easily one of my top 3 Korean…read morerestaurants in Colorado Springs. Every single visit reminds me why I keep coming back. The Kimchi Jjigae is phenomenal--deeply flavorful with just the right amount of sour and spice. It's bold, comforting, and tastes like it's been simmering with intention. The kimchi pancake is perfectly crispy and insanely delicious, and the tteokbokki brings the heat with a spicy, addictive sauce that keeps you going back for "just one more bite." Don't skip the house-made cinnamon-ginger tea--it packs a warm, delicious punch and is the perfect way to round out the meal. And the banchan? Never-ending, always rotating, and every single one is different, delicious, and dangerously addictive. The service is just as great as the food--friendly staff, attentive without hovering, and clearly on top of things. The restaurant is busy (always a great sign), but we didn't wait for a table at all and were seated immediately. The ambiance ties everything together: warm, lively, and comforting without feeling chaotic. It's the kind of place where the energy makes the food taste even better, whether you're there for a casual meal or a full-on comfort-food fix. This place nails flavor, hospitality, and atmosphere all in one. If you love Korean food--or want to fall in love with it--Tong Tong is a must.

When dining in Colorado Springs, the standards have to be recalibrated (lowered) to Colorado…read morereality. The brave souls that venture into the realm of independent restauranting are typically rewarded with limited patronage, and even death. The locals invariably demand large, corporate chain food replete with seed oils, sugar and salt. In light of the pricing, quality and portions afforded here at Tong Tong in their lunch special today, I will be enthusiastically adding them to my restaurant list for Colorado Springs. Today, I ordered the Spicy Bulgogi lunch special. With it came the soup, Kim Chi (2 varieties), Korean potato salad and rice, not to mention a pretty appetizing Spicy Bulgogi. It had the right spice quotient and most astonishingly, packed meat quality that was relatively good--all for a paltry $13! Everything was quite good, no, not at the level of LA's Koreatown's finest. But considering the price, the generosity, the overall quality, and most notably, the fact that we are in Colorado Springs, a foodie's worst nightmare, as a venue, this place scores highly with me. My apologies for the quality of the photos. I was rushed somewhat. I would encourage you to try this restaurant and sample the spicy bulgogi.
