As far as Colorado Springs sushi, this place is the best I've had. That being said, you will pay for it. Specialty rolls are upwards of $18 and basic rolls are upwards of $7-9 per roll. There is also noodles and a lunch menu, but the prices are still on the higher end. The place is clean, small and service is friendly. You can sit by the sushi bar and watch the guys make your rolls, or you can sit at one of the tables. There is a check-in system at the register, and after 5 visits you get a coupon. I am on my third visit. Worth a stop, but bring your wallet. I pretty much spend $40 when I visit, just for myself. I wish they offered a lunch special, like 3 basic rolls for $12-15 or something. We had a party of 5, one with a severe allergy to mushrooms, we were assured only two dishes had it. We also had two kids in our party, and the kid beef bento boxes were a hit. We tried them too and they were really flavorful. Their tempura is also on point. Part of my party complained that the crab cheese wontons and gyoza were very doughy, but I like that it's different. We also order a dinner sashimi plate with sushi rice and it was better than Dozo's. Their sushi is INCREDIBLY fresh, high quality. The price is fair (in my opinion). Updating my review. I'm still coming here quite frequently (2-3 times a month) but since they have hired more people the service has gotten better. The lady who works the front of the house is always very pleasant and I come here often enough that she recognizes me and always gives me a smile. The food is still top notch. I can even squirrel away some leftover roll slices until the following day's lunch and it's fresh. (As fresh as day-old sushi is going to be.) We have been here multiple times but this last Valentine's Day was unfortunately our last. We ordered our food online at 5:30. I arrived at 6:20 as it said a 45 minute wait. I walk in and they said, in a kinda annoyed way, "still gonna be another hour, sorry". We had three different tables come in after us and get food and leave before I was even spoken to again. Mind you I was waiting in line with four other people who are waiting for their online orders as well. By 7:45. I had finally had enough and I asked for a refund and it took 15 minutes for them to find somebody who knew how to do a refund. I get home and see the refund show up on my account fairly quickly, only for it to be taken away again the next day. My bank said it looks like they cancel the refund and I had to dispute it on my own through my bank and finally got the refund a few days later. A nice easy Valentine's Day at home turned into me getting sandwiches from a shop down the road. We used to love this place, but unfortunately we probably won't be going back again. read more

We've had hit and miss meals here. The food is always pretty good for the area. The problems in the past has been the customer service. We've been charged all different prices for the same items. Also they typically are cordial but not friendly. I think additional staffing or training could help alleviate the stress apparent in all their workers.
