This is a beautiful, multilevel restaurant with an impressive design and interesting atmosphere. The space is definitely eye-catching, although some of the tables, especially on the lower level, are way too small for a group of five once all the dishes start arriving. We've even warned our server even before we started. The service was pleasant and responsive. A special thank you to Teresa V. for pleasant evening and for saving my glasses - really appreciated that!!! Unfortunately, the food was a major disappointment. Out of everything we ordered, the squid was probably the only thing that was somewhat enjoyable. We ordered three Tom Kha soups, and all were so salty that we had to send them back. The squid and calamari dish was okay only for the squid; the calamari was dry and over-fried. The curry sauce underneath was also confusing and completely covered the natural taste of the squid. The unagi wontons (2 orders) had a strange, rubbery texture, and the prawn ones were even harder to enjoy (left behind). To top it off, we were charged for a welcome drink?! Beautiful place and good service, but unfortunately, the food was far below expectations. Found this spot right across from the hotel and decided to check it out for dinner. When we got there, there was a 30min wait so explored around until it was time. The restaurant is quite unique with multi level dining and we got a table on the bottom floor. After looking through the menu, we decided to get a kung pao chicken and the Pad Kee Mao noodles. The food came out within 10-15min and smelled absolutely delicious. The kung pao chicken didn't come with rice so had to get some on the side but it came with a lot of chicken and peanuts! It was crispy and tossed in a really nice sauce and definitely one of my favorite dishes I've ever had! The drunken noodles were also quite tasty and loved the light sauce and came with a good amount of shrimp. Overall, I really enjoyed this spot and the amount of food you get for the price! read more

We had great cocktails and almost great food at Sia. I'm not buying at all that this is a fusion restaurant. It's just that they serve Westernized versions of lots of cuisines from Asia - Japanese food, Thai, Chinese. There's no blending of cultures or original dishes. On a Saturday night, we were offered more than adequate bar seating - no tables - when we showed up at 7:30p without a reservation. Drinks kept coming out as quickly as we ordered them and they were all delicious. But the food was confounding: at times elevated, but sometimes just doing the job. The smoke on the octopus was let down by the chewy inside, the pepper beef had a great flavor profile but also had too many fatty portions, the kung pao chicken cried for more peanuts. I believe we found this place through another Yelp review! It's right next to the Marriott in Old Town Prague. It has 3 levels & each level cooks something different: top level- duck, middle level- Dim Sum, lower level- Japanese style. But- you can order from any level no matter where you're seated. Our server was very nice & explained the menu. We arrived late- I think they close at 11, but kitchen closes around 10:30. We were visiting Prague for Thanksgiving (US) and wanted something unique to celebrate our holiday from afar. OH WOW. It was easy to make a reservation. It was directly across from our hotel the Hilton Old Town which made it super convenient. We were seated downstairs and once greeted, the male server explained the menu a bit and offered some cocktails. He was super busy and kept getting interrupted by food runners and had to excuse himself several times. It was a bit frustrating but we let it go. We came to dine and that's what we did. However, when we started to place our order, the server indicated several times, almost in a snarky way, that we ordered to much. I continued to order once we got to the Kung Pao, he interrupted us again about how much food we were ordering AND had to leave the table to serve some food. It was more of an annoyance or judgmental issue. Let us decide what is too much. We opted to have the Xiao long bao, 1/2 peking duck with rice, wor ton soup and fried rice. We were offered noodles or rice with our duck order. We said rice even though we ordered fried rice. We should have gotten the noodles. Everything was great except the xiao long bao which had an excessively thick outer skin. The filling was also just okay. The real star was the Peking duck - two ways. It was outstanding. The lychee cocktail was also incredible. Really cool vibe and delicious food. Like I said, the only frustration was being judged for the number of dishes ordered and the interruptions from the food runners who were carrying large trays. We made a reservation in the morning and seemed to get an email confirmation. When we arrived they said they sent us an email cancelling the reservation. The email said we had Canceled it but we hadn't done so. They were able to seat us after being difficult, don't know why they were so difficult when they had plenty space. But once we sat everything was great. I got a whiskey cocktail which was great, they only do cocktails on the menu which isn't huge, but the one whiskey option was strong and smooth. Would recommend. We started with the hot and sour soup as well as some unagi & foie gras dumplings in a miso sauce. Both were good but the dumplings were definitely better. Very tasty, smooth and rich but also light surprisingly light. One of the highlights of the meal. For our mains we had a spicy tuna salad and beef rendang. The salad wasn't spicy and was fine. The beef rendang was a bit spicy but was absolutely superb. I didn't know what to expect but it's a bit like a beef curry, tho the sauce is a bit thin, very dark brown, spicy kick to it. The beef was cooked perfectly. I don't care for pineapple, so my wife just ate them. It should've come with more rice, but I would definitely get this again. read more

This place is beautiful and it's literally the center of all the pretty people in Prague. It felt like the young stylish folks all went here. What I ordered: 1. Black tea with coconut milk and cardamom: this drink was yummy. A spin on Thai iced tea I liked the subtle cardamom flavor with coconut milk 9/10 2. Hargow shrimp: the shell was nice, the filling was substantial but lacked flavor. They should delve it with some ginger to help. 7/10 3. Xialongbao: when I opened this it felt like a child had put the dumplings together. The shell was oddly bumpy. Once I bit into it, I knew this was gonna be a disaster. The shell was thick and gummy. And the inside was not hot enough. The filling did t have that porky goodness that comes from the soup. 0/10 4. Chili beef: the waitress actually recommended this over the red dang g for me. The little red Birds Eye chili were good but everything else was horrible. Everything was drowned in this goopy dark sauce that was like a sodium bomb. The beef was not tender, and the book Chou was lost. Thank fully the green beans were still crunchy. The rice was a bit dry too. 4/10 The service was nice though she definitely tried to push me to get dessert after I refused and then sorta made sure I tipped her. Peking duck 1/2 order was plenty for two along with the shrimp and mussel clay pot, which is a tasty curry. Honestly very mediocre food and did not have a good experience with the service. The iced teas in plastic bags looked cool but tasted like mildly flavored water. The dim sums were the most disappointing - the skin of the Har Gow was honestly kinda gross and soggy (tasted like Play-Doh) and the Xiao Long Bao does not taste like Xiao Long Bao at all. The Shiumai was okay but highly likely all these dim sums were frozen and not fresh at all. Favorite dish was the Jasmine Rice. I still give the restaurant props for decor and at least trying! read more
