Excellent food! While traveling through Prague, we decided Thai would be lovely. Located in a hotel in the lower level, the Buddah-Bar is a darkly lit, upscale restaurant with red velvet chairs, golden embroidered linens and beautiful tablescapes. We were seated and menus given. There is a large selection of Thai-inspired food, as well as sushi, sashimi and other Asian dishes. We ordered cocktails and water which came out quickly. Our server took our orders; we had a tasty tom yum soup, vegetable spring rolls, and spicy edamame to start. We then had an amazing red curry shrimp and a tamarind Pad Thai. Honestly, the best Thai I've had in awhile. Service is prompt and friendly. Our waiters were accommodating and came by often to ask if we needed more cocktails or anything else. There's a hotel upstairs and it's located in the Old City part of Prague. The bill was $3200 Koruna which is about $114 USD, not including top. If I'm ever in Prague again, I'd definitely eat here. read more

You go through the big red doors outside, then downstairs. We already ate dinner, so we just went to the bar. The place was dark with cool music. They had a fun selection of drinks. The service was great, faster than most places in Praha. The only bad thing is the people smoking hookah pipes. This guy was sitting behind us literally puffing in between his sushi eating. Luckily, there were seats we jumped to across from us. The restaurant was definitely busy. Should at least stop by for drinks since this restaurant is spendy unless you are with your sugar daddy. read more

If you are coming here just for cocktails and the experience then great but if you are expecting good food.. thing again! Try finding a better restaurant (which there are MANY) nearby for dinner and then come here to get one of their tasty cocktails. read more

They have hookah here and I don't enjoy eating around the smoke but we did come later in the evening so I think we weren't seated in the regular dining area. I love this place. Love to come here in the evening just to chill upstairs with some nice cocktails that I consider to be one of the best in Prague and I also enjoy romantic dinners downstairs as well as dinners with friends. This place with its special, zen and mystical relaxed atmosphere always makes me forget about al the stresses and I feel like being on holidays. Some people may consider it a bit too dark but for me its just perfect. I am a wine lover who only very rarely drinks cocktails as I usually always stick with wine but when it comes to Buddha bar, their cocktails are a must. Surprisingly, I have to say that even though sushi is not the main specialty of this restaurant, their sushi plates are delicious and I can also highly recommend them. Visited this place twice when i was visiting prague. Loved the ambience. Both times, we didnt have reservation and arrived around 11 pm. Once we sat at the bar and next time they gave us a table. The old fashioned is great, bar tenders are professional and very respectful, and the music, of course, is amazing. When their kitchen is closed (around midnight), they have some limited snack options like olives and crostini. Also they have wifi similar to many other places in Prague. If I ever go back to Prague, I'd definitely stop by again. read more

One of the most pricey restaurants in the city does not deliver. Below par service. I visited a couple of years ago but as I was not a Yelp member at that time I was not able to review it. As the experience stuck in my mind I wanted to document it. There was a special Valentines dinner and one of the courses was raw beef which we asked nicely if they could substitute. Firstly the waitress gave a cold hard no so we requested if she could check with the manager. 20 minutes later the manager arrived and told us there is nothing he could do again cold hard no without apology. Naturally we requested they do not bring it where in, they gladly cooperated. The dish was not taken off the bill. Food was good but local restaurant SasaZu (Asian Fusion) has superior service atmosphere and food for a lower price. Invest in 20.00 taxi and go there. read more

Wow, yum, and omg! Best restaurant in Praha. We loved the food, had the tasting menu... it was super. The presentation and combo of flavors were amazing. If this place was in NYC or Vegas, you wouldn't be able to get a reservation for weeks. It's expensive (for Prague) but worth it. "WAS" my favorite hotel in Prague. This trip I has to use a second room to shower BC my room had No hot water for the first 24 hrs and luke warm water after that. For this inconvenience they offered me a free massage. Considering 3 days here cost $1,400.00 I'm not very happy w what they offered up to satisfy me. We could not wait to try this restaurant after booking our room at the Buddha Bar Hotel and reading all of the great reviews. We were not disappointed at all!!! From the moment we walked in the door, we were treated with fantastic service from everyone we encountered. The hostess kindly granted our request to have a drink at the bar before our dinner even though we were already about 10 minutes later for our reservations. She then handed us off to a lovely gentleman that escorted us to the bar. The bar staff was amazing and on top of things. After a drink we were escorted to our table. Our table was front and center in the middle of the dining floor facing the very large Buddha. Our waitress was amazing. I failed to get her name, but she had long blonde hair and hand tattoos...she definitely deserves some recognition. She was great about suggesting things to us, explaining things to us, and getting us whatever we needed. Toward the end, she came over to let us know that our dessert had exploded and that they were making us a new one. She comped us two drinks as an apology. We thought that was awesome because we weren't even bothered that we had been waiting...we were happy just sitting there in the beautiful restaurant. We came back the next night for drinks after our dinner elsewhere and the bartenders remembered us and our drinks. Pretty impressive because we had only sat in front of them for one drink the night prior. We had full intention of coming back in on our last night in Prague for another dinner to celebrate our birthdays, but found out upon arrival that this restaurant is closed on Sundays and Mondays. We were SUPER bummed. We were craving some more sushi. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Prague and looking for a nice night out. The place and service is 5 star! The restaurant reminded me of Tao in Vegas. Music was what my husband and I listen to all the time, Buddha Bar. I ordered a Thai Vege Curry and my husband tried Chicken Tikka Masala along, side of steamed white rice with a Cab. The food was good but not as good as what we had at Asian Temple. My Kapalemonade was delicious. It was a bit more expensive than Asian Temple but not by much. Overall, we were glad that we went and had a good experience. Good find in Praha! read more

Certainly on the more exclusive end of Prague's bar scene, Buddha Bar is hopping with tourists and wealthy locals. They start you off with a crunchy, fish-flavoured bar snack (complimentary, woohoo!) while you peruse their menu. Cocktails are standard, albeit pricey if you're used to standard Eastern European cocktail rates; you won't be too taken aback if you're used to American cocktail bar rates. The background music is Buddha Bar's usual combination of funky, tantric and strangely sexy, and it only enhances the atmosphere. However, for these prices, I would rather get cocktails elsewhere in Prague (I particularly recommend Tynska Bar and Books). read more
