My name is Chris, I was recently sold a lemon car a 2020 jeep wrangler Rubicon of March 31 2026…read more This car is not even 30 days old, I've been dumping coolant in the engine everyday non stop, I had a check engine light come on the dash. So, I decided to go get it checked out. I took it to holzhauer and had them check the problem, they told me that they wasn't going to do anything about it cause "it's a used vehicle you know what you got." This place doesn't do anything to help a person when they know about a cars problem. Cause im pretty sure a dealership wouldn't just buy a car off of trade-in without knowing what's wrong with it. I haven't even made my first payment yet and they will not do anything for me. I'm writing this hoping a person will see this that is interested in a new vehicle and just save their money and not deal with this place! All my money that I saved up for a down payment on a car is literally gone, and now I can't even use my 20 day old vehicle. So please, if you read this and show interest, take your money elsewhere to save you the trouble. If I could give this place zero stars then I would!

I live 725 miles away and have never visited or set foot in this dealership, but I was seriously interested in the trailer and even provided my credit card information for a $500 deposit to show good faith. After thinking it over, I decided not to purchase the trailer because I was concerned about my ability to safely get in and out of it. I am a disabled veteran with a severe spinal cord injury, so accessibility is extremely important for me. When I informed Nic that I needed to cancel the purchase, he told me that I would not be getting my deposit back -- even though I never visited the dealership, signed a purchase agreement, buyer's order, deposit agreement, or any document stating the deposit was non-refundable. There was also no discussion whatsoever about the refund policy of the deposit in the event I decided not to proceed with the purchase. This experience was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. Keeping any person's deposit with no signed documents and no disclosure of a refund policy is unacceptable. I cannot recommend this dealership based on how this situation was handled. I have also registered formal complaints with the following: * Illinois Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division * Federal Trade Commission (FTC) * Better Business Bureau I would be happy to update my review if and when the dealership refunds my deposit.

I have talked to 4 additional Jeep dealerships prior to coming there due to they had exactly what we were looking for. Every dealerships said I would at least qualify for 4 different rebates. $3000 - 2020 National Retail Consumer Cash 20CL1. Exp. 08/31/2020 $500 - Midwest 2020 Bonus Cash MWCLA. Exp. 08/31/2020 $500 - Midwest 2020 Retail Bonus Cash MWCLA1. Exp. 08/31/2020 $750 - Chrysler Capital 2020 Bonus Cash 20CL5. Exp. 08/31/2020 I showed them the screenshot but they say the system won't take it. Again my local dealer was able to use all those rebate codes. I said that's fine, let's continue to work on the those numbers. I bought a friend with us so we can qualify for the non-prime rebates that Jeep/Chrysler is offering. $1500 - CCAP Non-Prime Retail Bonus Cash 39CLN. Exp. 08/31/2020 $750 - National 2020 Non-Prime Retail Bonus Cash 20CL1V. Exp. 08/31/2020 Primary has a FICO of 725 and co-signer has a FICO of 470. They come back saying it's too low. We can't qualify for the non-prime. Now I am starting to be very angry. I am thinking either 1) the dealership don't want us to use those rebates or 2) Jeep/Chrysler uses baiting tactics to get people in there only to deny them of anything. At this point we are only down with the $3000 + $750. Sales guy said that let's see what the primary can get with Chrysler Capital. Sales guy comes back and says, "uhmmm we ran the primary by themselves the score is great but the rates is too high... but if you give us to Monday maybe we can run some credit unions or some local banks:". At this point I was so mad. Because we already have a pre-approval from another bank at a rate of 4.47% @ 60mons or 5.35% @ 72mons. I told the sales person just that and they are being shady. Trying to say all our rebates don't work, then come back with some ridiculous rates at (my calculation) 7%-7.25% @ 84mons. Since he only gave me a proximate of $511/mon. I told the sales person that it is nothing personal but your dealership is super shady. Trying to take away all our rebates and then try to finance through you over priced banks. We all walked out. If you are stuck with this dealership (since it's a small town) make sure you shop for interest rates and make sure what type of rebates you are qualify for. Talk to other dealerships to verify! Also DON'T EVER go there without a pre-approved loan with rate! These people are SHADY!

Dear Service Manager,…read more I am writing to formally express my frustration and disappointment regarding the service I received from the service department at Monken's Automotive. I brought my vehicle in for repair on March 20th because it was having issues shifting properly and struggling to accelerate. My father is currently on hospice, so having reliable transportation is extremely important for me right now so that I can travel to see him during this difficult time. Last week I received a call from your service department informing me that my vehicle was finished and ready for pickup. However, the moment I put the vehicle in drive, it immediately began jerking, struggling to move, and failing to shift correctly -- the exact same issue I originally brought it in to have repaired. I immediately returned to the service department and asked if anyone had actually test-driven my vehicle before calling me to pick it up. Ethan informed me that the vehicle did not have enough gas for a test drive. However, the vehicle still had approximately 40 miles of fuel remaining. Regardless, anyone moving the car from the service area to the parking lot should have been able to recognize that the transmission was not shifting properly. Despite the repair not resolving the issue, I was still charged $900. As of today, I am still without a properly functioning vehicle during an extremely difficult time in my life when I need it most. This situation is unacceptable. I trusted your service department to properly diagnose and repair my vehicle. Instead, I was charged a significant amount of money and given back a vehicle with the same unresolved problem. I am respectfully requesting that management review this situation immediately and provide a resolution. At this point, I believe it is reasonable to request either a proper repair at no additional cost or reimbursement for the $900 charge, given that the original issue was not resolved. Stayed in communication, never pressured me into a sale and was very transparent. Just a really personable guy that wants to see you get into the right vehicle. It can be an intimidating and overwhelming process to purchase a new vehicles these days and I walked out of several larger dealerships in the area before I found JJ and the entire Monken staff. I can't recommend them enough. JJ, CJ, and Bob were all absolutely fantastic!
