We stop in every trip to New Mexico, they serve up the best tasting New Mexico style Enchiladas. Rice beans and tortillas round out an excellent home style cooked dinner. My wife and I were on a road trip to Carlsbad caverns and we had to stop in Deming. Looked around and not many restaurants were open we went to a restaurant and they were just closing and we were told to go to si señores. So I put it in my Google maps and off we went. We chose this restaurant after reading the Yelp reviews. We arrived during rush hour, so the wait for our food was a little longer than usual. We ordered the NY strip steak and the chicken stuffed sopapillas with green sauce. Oh my goodness!! So worth the wait!! The steak was tender and well seasoned. The sopapillas were so good and the green sauce was very flavorful!!!! We are from the Phoenix area but plan to make this a travel stop soon! read more

Is this place Si Senior or Mama Fats ? I am so confused using Yelp to find some Mexican food here in Deming. We hit the Fat Mama's directions and ended up at the fair grounds and airport. Maps wanted us to go down a dirt road which we did not do. So I exited Yelp and typed in Mama Fats and was taken back down town. We found Mama Fats but it was not the food that is being posted, instead it is a burger and ice cream joint. We did go ahead and eat there it was good. My husband ordered the chile rellenos and I had guac tostadas. Hubby loved the rellenos (which by the way, ALWAYS have seeds and stems included, dude from Sturbridge, MA). My tostadas could have been better if they hadn't been drowned by the watery pile of shredded lettuce, which I removed. The beans were watery, more like soup -- and the rice was so-so. The waitress was kinda ho-hum but I did make her smile towards the end of our meal. And we never got free sopies for dessert, either. All in all, it was reasonably priced and we loved the homemade chips. but their salsa could use some fixin'. read more

We stopped by this while traveling cross country. They seated and served us quickly which was much appreciated for weary travelers. The staff was friendly and welcoming. They immediately served us some of the best tortilla chips I have ever had with some amazing salsa. They end the meal with sopaipillas and honey which made the meal! I got stuffed sopaipillas for my meal. One with chicken and one with beef. The beef fell short for me and didn't have much flavor. The chicken was a bit more flavorful but the green salsa they served with it was the saving aspect. read more

So my 2nd time having lunch here.. Today I wanted the Salmon but the waitress said the owner hasn't bought any in more than a month. I got the Carnitas, the meat was overcooked and dry, tasted okay; the rice wasn't fluffy and there wasn't much rice or beans. The salsa was very good and the guacamole was great too.. I enjoyed the corn tortillas. the price was fair....the waitress was helpful and prompt the bathroom was clean.. They were a little busy yet my food came promptly. Kind of a let down with the other ratings being so high. Salsa was GREAT! Green chili was good. Chile rellenos were good but the coating was fairly bland. Stuffed sopapillas fairly bland too. Sopapillas as the end of the meal were bland and the honey although the consistence was good, it was bland! How does honey get bland(?). We ate here last night on our way back to San Antonio, TX. This is the worst mexican food I have ever eaten. I had chicken enchiladas verde. The cook just opened a can of chopped chilies and threw them on top. Everything was cold and tasteless. Sent back for reheat under the broiler. My friend had a chicken burrito and it was covered in uncooked red chili powder sauce. Please keep your expectations low. Wait staff friendly and beautiful tile decor everywhere. I'm not sure what the deal is in Deming but I called ten restaurants looking for carne adovada. Si Senor said they had it. What they had was a pork chop seasoned in hatch red chile, not the traditional New Mexico adovada. I give 3 stars because the service was amazingly attentive and the staff were incredibly friendly. Over all everything my daughters, wife and son ordered was ok but nothing to write home about. read more

Stopped in while traveling through and glad we did. Can't say enough, the food and service was fantastic and the place was clean. The salsa was on the warm side. I was disappointed. I love Mexican Food. I had the #1 deluxe combo. Only $9. Lots of food! But it all seem to taste like the red enchilada sauce that was on top of the enchilada, tamale and chili rellano, and in the tamale. Just not flavorful, only hot. read more

They close at 3 on Sundays but there was a line to get in at 1:45. We were seated about 2:30 and the food came out pretty fast. By then most of the restaurant cleared out. I had the gordita plate. They were really good. M had the taco salad and mom had the tacos and caldo. Everything tasted good and the bonus was sopapillas at the end of the meal. They also had Mexican Coke! Yay. read more

A local favorite in the small town of Deming. Ever since I could remember we've always came here for lunch and within the last few years have been coming as an annual Christmas Eve lunch with my family. Service is always good, and real quick when you need something. Just like any traditional Mexican restaurant you get chips and salsa while you wait for your food. You can order this white salsa or what my dad calls "the white shit." I'm not sure what it's made of but its really good and has a nice spice to it. I normally get the combination plate number 3 which comes with a taco, rolled flauta, rolled enchilada, red chile pork and of course rice and beans. If you don't want to get the combination plate you can do any of their orders and your wont be disappointed. Something about their corn tortillas they use to make the tacos and flautas but they are really flavorful. Once you are close to finishing you get a order of fresh sopapillas which melt in your mouth. Overall it's a must if you are traveling through or looking for some food Mexican food to feed your belly. read more
