What a find. This nice little restaurant excels in everything it does: outstanding homemade tortilla chips; tasty salsa, and delicious entrees. The chimichanga was stuffed full of shredded chicken (or beef if you choose). It was very lightly fried to make it crusty but not overly crisp. The red and green sauces are both excellent with just the right amount of spice to make them flavorful and savory. The chile rellenos were made with Hatch chiles and were outstanding. The accompanying rice and beans deserve accolades as well. Additionally, the service was top notch. And finally, the complmentary sopapillas were a true taste treat. Very good and satisfied. I can't believe I ate the whole thing! Serious! Our waiters was wonderful. I ordered iced tea, yum, and I was so thirsty the glass was empty when she came back to take our order and she left the pitcher on the table. Great service, friendly and food came to us in a timely manner. I had the #1 combo ($9), it seemed to have a bit of every thing. My husband had the #2 combo ($8). We were both satisfied with our meals and I had to share some of mine. The chips and salsa, awesome. The kicker at the end of the meal, a fresh hot sopapilla and honey for each of us. Great place. The restaurant and restrooms were clean, a great plus. The only disappointment, my husband asked for a meat change in his taco, from ground beef to shredded beef and to add meat to the cheese enchilada and charged us $1 extra for each item. That's ok but we were NOT told of the price change, so instead of an $8 meal it was $10, the price for that meal was still good. If we were just told about the change, otherwise everything was great. Si Senior possible could of had 5 stars. I don't generously pass out the # of stars. By the way, the tea pitcher was empty at the end of our meal. read more

Best Mexican food in the world! That's right in the world. The white sauce with chips is a must try. Those chips, by the way, are still free with your meal. In this case, Si Senor will coddle your culinary senses with sweet, steamy sopapilla kisses (that's how my partner described biting into her first one, which she claimed was near perfection). Sopapillas are served with every meal. Chips and a fairly fiery though unexceptional salsa are already on your table when you arrive, which is a good thing because this place is hopping. The triad of gorditas made to order - one green chile, one beef, and one chicken were like mini sopas instead of the crispier versions served farther west. The bread was fresh, flaky, and delicious. The chips served are absolutely the worst ever, thick tough and very hard to eat with little or no flavor. The sauce is OK but not outstanding. I have dined here several times. I do not understand the good reviews by locals but I think they are used to the uncommonly common level of Mexican food in Deming. Today I had the Combo #1, it was plenty of food but nothing outstanding but just OK. I ate there because my friend wanted to eat there (they did not eat Mexican). Service is iffy depending on the attitude of the waitstaff. Some of them act like they don't really want to be there. If course this is just my opinion so try it and form your own opinion. read more

A decent gringo place to eat. The food is not very spicy. Once in a while they do make a great hot dish. They provide the table with Sopapillas and honey at the end of your meal. A great way to finish dinner. The food is adequate. read more

Clean bathrooms, nice servers and great food!!! We flagged down what appeared to be a blue collar worker and asked him where he goes for lunch and he said "Si Senor"! Deming is a cute little town but I was still surprised at how good the food and service were at Si Senior. We were driving through and selected this restaurant for lunch based on the reviews. We were not disappointed. The chips were fresh and unusually crisp and light- I think they were flour based rather than corn. My husband had a taco salad and I had 3 chicken tacos (came with beans and rice) - all really good and flavorful. Then the surprise- sopapillas with honey for desert was included. Really great salsa! I got a combo platter (pro tip: they let you substitute items, I tossed the tamale and got a gordita) and the highlights were the gordita, and the meat with green chiles. The crispy taco is always such a throw away item on Mexican combo meals, so I almost skipped it, but it was awesome! They fry the shells in house so they aren't brittle. Stopped by on our way through town. The place was packed with the lunch rush. A pleasant old building was filled with locals and teens waiting for lunch. The wait staff was fast and efficient and had drinks and our orders taken in a few minute. The table had chips and salsa waiting. The chips were fresh and good but a bit on the thick side for my taste but I ate my fair share. I ordered chicken stuffed sopapilla with the green chili sauce on the side. I can't do hot stuff so I never take a chance. The sauce had just the right amount of heat and pleasant chili taste for me. If you like hot I bet the red sauce would be best for you.
