We did a work around and it was really good- veggie burrito and veggie taco salad. The black beans are vegan. We would like to just say that if they offered vegan beans and rice that we would gladly come back and give them five stars. People often think you need animal products on staple foods for flavor but it's simply untrue. I'm hoping they will consider this some time so they can offer vegetarians and vegans more classic Mexican options- you just can't go wrong with beans and rice! Just finished take out dinner from Si Casa Express on Union St. Hard to find due to weak signage and rain. Definately needs some stand out signage and lights as it looks like an office building thats closed. Won't matter though since I won't be going back. Two enchilada dinner was not rebuyable. Balance in the enchilada was lacking. Too much shredded chicken for the amount of tortilla. Or vice versa I guess. Gravy not compelling and was to light in quantity. Came across this little gem while passing through from California to home in Washington, and MAN, I wish I lived in Grant's Pass just for these behemoths of burritos. They are ENORMOUS, and not only that, DELICIOUS, and most importantly, quick and cheap! I think we got the chorizo and the steak fajita burrito. Outstanding, flavorful, and very fresh ingredients. The tortilla was even incredible! Their burritos weigh about the size of a newborn child (they offer a 4lb burrito also!? The regular ones we ordered already felt like 4lbs; I can't begin to imagine what the real 4lb burritos look like). I'm a huge foodie and live in the Portland area (now named top food city in America) and I'm confident to say this was one of the best burritos I've ever had. Period. Had the Carne Asada Burrito today for lunch. The taste was good but my issue was that it was mostly rice and beans. Very little meat for an $8 dollar burrito. I could hardly taste the small amount of meat over the rice and beans. If you're going to sell a burrito as a steak burrito make sure it has some meat, very disappointed! read more

Stopped here and got a a chicken fajita burrito and a California burrito, first of all when we got them home and opened them these things were HUGE!!! My husband said he felt like he was eating a small baby. My burrito was bigger than my face. I absolutely love French fries with or in anything, so fries in a burrito is right up my alley. We love Si Casa Flores main restaurant, but the new location (drive through) is closer to our house, so we dropped in yesterday and were disappointed. I ordered the 3 taco combo, and got... 3 mini tacos. Dripping with grease. My son told me later he went there last week and got a burrito. Dripping with grease. Not sure we will go there again. The wild grape is the only place in town that caters fully to vegans, which in this town is hard to come by. everyone is so happy and helpful when we go in. The Beyond burger with Gouda and spicy vegan mayo is my favorite of the burgers. I also really enjoy the blue aglae aciai bowl. read more

Really doesn't even deserve 1 star. Ordered 2 chicken GRANDE tacos, key word GRANDE. $7 and was expecting that two GRANDE tacos would fill me up. Not even close to grande in size and less than a half inch thick at the widest point. Asked for medium hot salsa. I'm not much of a heat person but this had no heat, no flavor and was the consistency of water. What little chicken there was had no flavor, almost no cheese on them so the iceberg lettuce and pink tomato were the dominant flavors. So sad to see that kind of money spent on a facility that can't turn out a taco with some flavor. I will say the window gal was super friendly, best part of the whole order. I've been to this place a few times in the past and it was OK but nothing special. I've always liked the main Si Casa Flores on Beacon but this Si Casa Express on Union has really gone downhill. I got a grilled chicken enchilada with rice & beans. The rice & beans were scooped into the plastic to go container with a very small enchilada. Everything was covered with a ton of cheese & canned enchilada sauce & the container was then put into a microwave where it was heated way too long. It got so hot the plastic container melted & deformed. When I got it home I had to wait 10 minutes for it to cool down before I could eat it and I still burned the roof of my mouth. Tasted like everything came out of a can. Very bland with no flavor. The enchilada was tiny with very little chicken. The chicken was dried out & lacked flavor. The rice was covered in sauce & cheese. The beans were mostly cheese. The food didn't taste fresh. I've had better food at Taco Bell. This town is full of Mexican food places & some of them are very good. There's really no reason to pay $8.00 for a small, poor quality microwaved meal like this. The young pregnant woman behind the counter was RUDE, not at all helpful! She got our order wrong then denied it and said it was our fault. When we got the order home the Spanish rice was SO salty that it could not be eaten. The beans were so bland then could have used some of the salt from the rice. Well I am not sure on why Si Casa Express keeps deleting my review probably because they do not want people to know the truth about this place. Last time I went pulled up and all the employees were outside talking let it be known they had an hour left until they closed,sign was on saying open, pulled up and they said they were closed. So question, do you call that good service or lack of customer service. Also if you want something different in your burrito like black beans instead of refried they won't listen or understand. So Si Casa express is no Si Casa Flores. If you want a Si Casa express go to the 238 one. They are so far way better than the union ave one. This place is great. They are fast, the food is tasty, and the prices are good. You can get a good meal for under $6 I recommend pork torta, enchiladas, and asada tacos. Forget Taco Bell. Spend an extra buck and get healthier & better tasting food here. read more
