This is the most unprofessional business I've ever dealt with. I made a reservation online and received a confirmation email. Just to make sure I called to confirm. The dispatch phone number on the email took me to shuttle express where a lady with a thick accent I could barely understand said she could not find my reservation. I was concerned and began to ask questions which were met with excuses and rudeness. No apologies whatsoever. Had I not called I would have missed my flight. She blamed shuttlefare.com for not sending the email to them. Then she says that she can make me a reservation but I would have to pay again. Really? What kind of scam are they running? I then asked for the phone number to shuttlefare.com because it was no where on my confirmation email and she said " you should know it" in a snotty voice and hung up on me! Then I went online to get the phone number to shuttlefare. Told them my story. Again, no apologies. Just more unprofessionalism and rudeness. This will be the last time I use their service. I'd rather pay a little more for courtesy, and professionalism and knowing for sure that the ride I pay for will show up so I don't miss my flight!! read more

This is the worst run car/shuttle company I have ever come in contact with. In the modern era, such companies must live or die in service and speed. At SEA-TAC, I can easily get an Uber or Lyft in about 10 min. Tonight I waited for 45 minutes while they fumbled and eventually got me a car and driver. We've been faithful customers since moving here in 8/2008, and have never complained about the long waits at the airport, even when our flights land at the scheduled time. But, our last trip was the last straw. Even with reservations, and our status as frequent riders, we were victimized by "busy tonight." We waited at the airport for 1 hour and 20 minutes for our van. As we are always the last ones out on the shared-ride route, it took 2 hours and 30 minutes to get home. We can drive the route in 45-50 minutes. Good-bye, Shuttle Express! read more

I was supposed to be in a shared van. Driver Satvir showed up in a private car right on time and texted and called right away. Very good but now with Uber, Lyft and the bus and light rail, Shuttle Express now seems very expensive. Friends suggested using cheaper methods and I may consider that on future trips. I hope Shuttle Express will look at the cost and think about reducing it in order to be more competitive in the market. read more

Terrible customer service, I would rather walk bare feet in the rain, along highway I5, during peak hour, dragging my suitcases, than ever use this company. Rang up to book, was put on hold for 25 minutes, spent another 20 minutes with some one who was so clueless that she could not work out the difference between arrival or departure time in a round trip or the difference between a shared shuttle or premium, then to make it even worse she said " I am out of here" and hung up. Not because I raised my voice, was rude but because I did something even worse actually listened to what she said and asked clarifying questions when she made mistakes. Try to book online and add AAA discount, never spot to apply. Call and ask where to add online and they will tell you, "I don't know I've never been there". They are working on it! They have been working on it for the last three years. Reservation agents are clueless and have no idea the different prices and services they offer. Shuttle stop at Sea-Tac is VERY POORLY marked. Do not wait at sidewalk stop marked Downtown Transporter. You will never be picked up. Must walk inside across the street. There is no sign clearly visible for their office!!! Trust me I have used ground transport all over the world. This is ridiculously hard to find. The agent was RUDE. It ended up taking 2 hours to cover a 30 minute ride. Instead, the light link rail to your downtown hotel is excellent at $3.00. read more

I arrived early from Austin, TX to the Seattle airport tonight at 8:00 instead of 8:30, and they packed us up and we were on our way within 10 minutes! Our driver was funny: cracked some geeky jokes but was very friendly and drove efficiently (not like a snail on queludes) so we got to our destination quickly and safely. He helped us with our bags and was very helpful. I highly recommend these guys, it's $38 for two people, including bags to downtown Seattle. Probably cheaper than a cab and much more comfortable! read more

I've used Shuttle Express several times now, both to and from Sea-Tac, when I couldn't get a ride from a friend and didn't want to pay to park at/near the airport. In my experience so far, they show up on time at your house and get you to the airport in a timely fashion. Also, the ride from the airport to home has been quick. (Granted, living in Edmonds I've typically been one of maybe two or three people total in the van. More passengers may certainly change one's overall experience). I've booked both online and over the phone, with no problem. When I flew into SeaTac last week, my ride had fallen through so I just went to the Shuttle Express station at the terminal, and left within about 10 minutes. And while it can get chilly in the parking garage, they at least provide hot coffee and tea while you wait. Bottom line, if you don't want to pay for parking, and don't want to pay roughly double the rate for a taxi, use Shuttle Express. read more

I have used Shuttle Express several times over the years, with mixed feelings about their product. On the upside, it is as promised: they have always gotten me toSea-Tac Airport on time. And they were a lifesaver in December 2008, when I had to catch a flight the morning after it snowed 6" and there were no buses or taxis available (though I did have to hike a mile in the snow to get to their pick-up point). However, to me, they have two major drawbacks. First, if there are several other passengers in your van, it can be pretty slow getting to/from the airport because of all the intermediate stops. This is especially frustrating after a long flight, when you just want to get home. Second, they are remarkably expensive. From Capitol Hill, it costs close to $40 including tip to ride Shuttle Express to the airport. A taxi costs around $50 including tip and is usually much faster because there are no intermediate stops. Their high price is the main reason I try not to use Shuttle Express these days: a taxi is only ~$10 more (for me) and usually much faster. Nowadays, though, light rail is convenient and so much cheaper that I try to ride it to the airport whenever I can. I used to live in the Bay Area, where a shuttle ride from Palo Alto to SFO is a longer distance than Seattle to Sea-Tac, but only costs $21. I have always wondered why Shuttle Express is so much more expensive - perhaps because up here they have no competition from other shuttle companies? read more

I booked a shuttle from a downtown Bellevue hotel to Sea-Tac with a 2pm pickup time at a hotel. At 2:10 I called the general shuttle express number to see where my ride was. I was told there was a standard 20 minute window from scheduled pickup time. Really?!? The driver called shortly after (I assume because he knew I called the main number) to say he would be at the hotel at 2:30. At 2:40 he still had not shown up. So I called the general number again and was told he was 2 minutes away. At 2:45 he finally arrived at the hotel. He said he was late but did not provide any explanation. I was angry and frustrated by lack of communication and consideration of the delay. When I booked the ride I included a gratuity. If I use this service again, I will not include a tip with prepayment. I have used this service before and been pleased but today was very frustrated. read more

Booked reservations to go from airport to cruise ship. First problem: times were wrong. Made three reservations and times were wrong on two of them. They system had us arriving at the dock 12 hours after our cruise ship departed. Worked with the customer service via email [they were great & helpful] and got that straightened out... but it turns out that 2) those reservations are basically meaningless. Arrived at SeaTac and had to wait an hour for a shuttle. When I went to the counter to check on things...magically I the very next shuttle was ours. On the return trip: oooooh boy. So our "reservation" was for 8:02. We arrived about 20 minutes early by rushing through the disembarkation process (carried own bags, etc.). We get there and have to wait for *an hour and a half*... with very few seats so we had to stand until someone was kind enough to give up a bit of bench to my 70+ mother in law. We heard two excuses: 1) traffic was backed up getting to the dock and 2) 'We weren't ready for this kind of influx of people' ... so again, those reservations do what exactly? You have an idea that 2 boats are docking and you have those reservations.... that should give you a pretty good idea of what is about to happen. It's not like cruise ships are some kind of unpredictable weather phenomena. We were lucky. We got to the airport in plenty of time, but I do wan tot relate that 2 people on our van back to the airport were dropped off *10 minutes* before their flight. That's right 10 freakin' minutes. Now here is the thing: when you make a reservations what do you have to give them??? Oh yeah, your flight details. In this day and age there are lots of ways to get around. Uber, lyft, taxis, ANY other shuttle service, and public transportation. I wish we had used any one of these. read more

Beware of Shuttle Express. They quoted me a price of $70.00 so I agreed. After the ride they charged $105.00. When I sent a complaint about it their response was that the price quoted was estimated and they can charge what they want after the ride. read more

I've always been picked up on time and the drivers have been courteous. I do offer this suggestion...DO NOT tell them when your flight is leaving and DO NOT give them the flight number. If you do this, THEY will decide what time to pick you up. I always pad my flight time by 45 minutes and there have been a couple of times I was very glad I did. I've had drivers get lost on dark rainy streets. I've also had "milk run" stops where the people in the houses were still asleep! One driver sat for 15 minutes and waited. He should have left! Then you get families with child seats and tons of luggage while you nervously look at your watch hoping you won't miss your flight. So, just tell them " I don't have my flight info in front of me but I need a 6:00 pickup" Also, hiring employees with better English skills at the terminal would be helpful. Getting very EXPENSIVE so I may not use them in the future. EDIT: I just want tot repeat the advice I left before. If you are booking on line be sure to PAD THE TIME OF YOUR FLIGHT!! If you are calling in your reservation do the same thing! If they bug you for your flight number, tell them you don't have it in front of you but you want a 7:00 AM pickup (or whatever). They will try to manage YOU and they will book you sometimes with barely enough time to make your flight! YOU set the rules, not Shuttle Express! read more

I have used Shuttle Express town cars and shuttle vans. The town cars are nice, timely, and can be economical if traveling with 3 people. The Shuttle vans are fine for being picked up TO the airport. The drivers are polite, helpful, and very safe. BUT, if you are traveling FROM the airport-choose something else. We had reservations to be picked up SeaTac and driven home. We waited for over an hour (it was 32 degrees) , watched other people receive special treatment (private cars to Yarrow Point), watched our name drop down (yes down) the list, and eventually got a van AFTER having to complain. Our flight arrived at 10:40 pm. We made it home at 1:10 am-we live 20 minutes from the airport. Next time, we will go back to using Aces Town Cars. Or just catch a cab. read more

Don't waste your time with this company! Booked a private sedan since a special weekend getaway. No confirmation message upon airport arrival as promised. Called 3 times in first hour after agreed Pickup time and got a different story each time..."driver walking toward you...driver 5 minutes away... and finally driver 7 minutes away". They promised dispatch would call me within 2 minutes. After an hour and 15 minutes waiting we took an Uber. Even Uber Black less cost than this poor service and there in 1 minute! I use these guys quite a bit but I'm sitting in the van now waiting to go. I've paid my $50 but since the prices seem to have gone up I did a quick search to find out I can get a town car for $10 more. Needless to say on my next trip next month I'll be making different arrangements. The driver is courteous as usual, but whenever I have gotten a town car those drivers have been nice too. I learned my frustration with the long wait I had yesterday at Shuttle Express at SeaTac Airport, was misdirected. There is a solution, near the end of this. If customers book a Shared Ride, the Port of Seattle rules do not allow Shuttle Express to transport just 1 party at a time, regardless how many persons the reservation includes. If Shuttle Express violates that rule, they get fined by the Port. To remain in business at SeaTac, the Port of Seattle forced Shuttle Express to sign a contract that prohibits them from 1 party transport for Shared Rides, again, regardless of the number in your party. I will book a Town Car or Private Van from here on. In that instance, the fact it is "private" negates the "shared" rule. Additionally, I hate seeing a local business, in this case Shuttle Express, lose business to giants such as Uber, because they have the revenue to influence rules meant to squash their competition. read more

I would not rate this Co. At all, I prepaid for a ride from SeaTac to my hotel,driver was looking for a missing person, my wife, sitting next to me and was told twice she's here, wasted half an hour, then drove past the hotel another 45 min. to get back there. That was the trip there. They never showed up for the pic up to go back. Called them twice to see what the problem was and was told they were stuck in traffic never showed up at the time they gave me.it was the second time they told me that most of there drivers were muslem and there was a muslem Holliday and didn't know when they could make, they actually told me I could call a taxi. I did and just got to the plane when they we're boarding. Never Never would I recommend this Co. O they gave me a refund, ain't worth the aggervation. read more

First day of Seattle cruise that has been planned for 2 years and the flight to Seattle right on time. Our check in for the 10:40 shuttle was right on time. The agent at check-in messed up my name even with me handing him my reservation. One hour later I approach the agent again after seeing lots of folks get called and many checked in after me. So the 10:40 shuttle did finally arrive and we left the airport at 12:45. My suggestion is it worth it to waist even one minute of your cruise to still pay $22pp. And the agent tells everyone well the ship doesn't leave till 4. Not the attitude of anyone who's ever cruised. By the way they don't mention the "shared" ride stops at every hotel along the way. It is Almost the 3 hour mark now and driver is yet to head to the cruise terminal. I've cancelled the return shuttle as I'm not going through this again my time is valuable too I need to add the fact that 7 cruisers could have been transported in a van but they put us on a full greyhound bus that made all the hotel stops first. read more

I recently used Shuttle Express to return from Sea Tac airport to Ballard. There were a total of 5 passengers transported. Our luggage was stacked in the back of the Suv all the way to the roof of the vehicle. The driver did not have any rear view vision except for his side mirrors. The luggage slid around whenever the vehicle braked. The only barrier to the luggage going airborne into a passengers head were the two 3rd row passenger headrests. The middle seated passengers were most at risk for potential injury due to there not being an existing head rest support. To add to my anxiety about the transport home, the first passenger dropped off mistook my luggage for hers. This was not discovered until later when she notified Shuttle Express. In the meantime we had dropped a second passenger off. I would say my luggage was in a stranger's possession for at least 1/2 hr or more. As we doubled back to the passenger's hotel, I asked the driver if their insurance would cover any losses related to my luggage being in a stranger's possession? He said "No. We don't have insurance for that.We will provide you with the passenger's name and address. Then you can contact the police (!)... " I was lucky that the luggage incident was not theft, but a true mistake. The low lighting in the Suv's cargo area made the dark colored suitcases difficult to distinguished from each other. read more

I pre-paid for a private van to pick us up from the SeaTac There were 7 of us, it was for a pick up Sunday morning at 6:45 am- so remember no traffic this time of day. When I arrived I called and was told it would be 10 minutes. By 7:05 the person who works there showed up and i kept asking her where is the van- she kept calling and was told another 5 minutes. At 7:40 am one shows up-- I spoke with the driver and he told me he had just been told about the pick up- which was obvious to me. So Shuttle Express takes my money and had not intention of having a van there to pick us up, this after we flew all night and I had my 80 year old father who by this time needed to get home. Unreliable, lied... and nearly cheated us. I would have jumped in a cab but with 7 of us we were at a loss. read more

But now when you're waiting at the airport for your ride home, they have eliminated the heated benches and so you have to sit outdoors on cold metal seats (February brrrr). We hired a Shuttle Express limo for a late night one-way ride from a Snohomish area wedding venue to Downtown Seattle. The driver was on-time, professional and a nice guy. The limo itself was excellent as well. The event was running late (of course) but he waited patiently for all the pomp and circumstance involved in "whisking the couple away". Far less expensive than the "4-hour-minimum" limo services for this type of trip; we highly recommend. read more

If you live further east than downtown Bellevue, do not bother. A few Christmas breaks ago I flew into SeaTac around 1PM on Dec 19th. I realize traveling around Christmas gets chaotic, but Shuttle Express was WAY under-prepared. To start off my experience, I had to wait 15+ minutes in line to talk to the one customer service running the booth. I already had my reservation printed out, but needed to check-in before loading up. Another important piece of information is their booth and the waiting area for the shuttles is outside. Though the area is covered, they neglected to provided only one heater for 20+ customers while waiting in 30 degree temperature for the shuttle. Being from Redmond, they decided to take other people first - even though I had reserved my ticket weeks before. To wrap up my lengthy explanation - it took them 60 minutes before allowing us to board and another 30 minutes before leaving the airport.. And they waited to get nearly every seat on the shuttle filled before departing. Being the last person they dropped off, it took over three hours to go from SeaTac to Redmond - on a perfectly rain-free snow-free sunny afternoon. If you have multiple hours to spare sitting at the airport, then sure, take Shuttle Express. Otherwise take the light-rail into Seattle and catch a bus back to the eastside - it will be cheaper and faster. read more

The last time I went with Shuttle Express was less than thrilling. We had to wait forever in the cold with my elderly Grandma and then drop off a ton of people before we got home. We had reservations, so I would have thought we would have gotten a shuttle much faster. The process was just too exhausting after a long flight. Now we park off site and pay less for a week of parking than we do to take the shuttle for 2 of us. We get home much faster. It is still good to have the option for people coming in without a car or if it's too long for us to make parking work. I really wish the process was more streamlined. read more

I would like to compliment this company. I took it on Dec 24 at SeaTac airport to Kirkland and they were really efficient. The best part that impressed me was their service on Dec 28 from Kirkland to the airport. Instead of the white shuttle van there came a smart black SUV with driver who got off, greeted me and walked to the back and opened the van door, he stood there for a moment and I was still in the garage several feet away. I didn't quite realize that was my airport shuttle. It all looked so elegant the car and the driver's manners. I am not used to this good level of service in San Francisco. The shuttle company SuperShuttle didn't even show up on the pick up. So I know Shuttle Express is a reliable and very courteous. I will always use them and recommend them to my Seattle friends. read more

This takes too long for airport travel. I would go with spending a few dollars more on a taxi in exchange for at least 45 minutes each way plus avoidance of migraines from fellow passengers. Or call Seattle Shuttle--smaller operation, but if they are available it's basically the same price as Shuttle Express but doesn't involve sharing or intermediate stops. read more
