They were very nice, respectful, and the overall experience was great. Until, a few months later my uncle was in my garage and he noticed something about our electrical. He called my husband and myself over and asked us a few questions. He then explained to us that several of our outlets and switches in the garage/laundry room were wrong; He explained that my 15amp outlets are on a 30amp breaker labeled (by all American) as water heater. But our water heater is gas. Not only is this against code but highly dangerous, as if anything sparks or overloads the breaker won't shut off. I called all American electric and explained what we found. Thinking that since they had been so great that they would come out and take care of this mistake/over site. The representative agreed this was a problem then The representative on the phone told me it was not their responsibility and when they installed the new panel they don't test to see if the labeling was accurate on the old paneling. (Which by the way they were checking light switches, asking me did this turn on the bathroom is it off now etc... sooooo, they did confirm and check some of it) The representative then tells me "we will come out free of charge to give you an estimate to change out the breakers and see what else" So I repeated it back to him and said I'm confused. This was an error, and that it never should have been installed like this. Where he doubled down that it wasn't their problem basically. This is a huge safety violation and I don't even want to imagine. So needless to say at the moment we have the outlets taped off until we can have this fixed. I'm so very disappointed it what seemed to be a wonderful company. I was hoping they would make it right and do the proper thing and stand by their work. Unfortunately that was not the case.

There was no sticker shock-- his price and honesty will have us returning to him for regular service and telling our friends about him. In fact, he will be heading over later to give a "second opinion" to a friend who has just bought her first home and who has been told she needs a new air conditioner for $8,000. The job was to fix 6 ceiling lights on a very high vaulted ceiling in my kitchen and install a ceiling fan where there currently isn't one. He looked around at just where the fan was going to go and said it was going to cost at least double of what he previously quoted and then didn't even mention anything about the kitchen lights. When my husband said he wasn't going to pay that, he abruptly left. He did come back 10 minutes after I posted this review but thank goodness for ring doorbells. Don't trust the 5 star reviews like I did.
