First and foremost it took some digging to find where they are located on different days. I wrote down the order for my boyfriend to go place and pick up. I ordered 2 Birria tacos NO ONION. He then ordered his own with everything. They gave him my 2 Birria tacos WITH ONION. He said he specifically wrote it down and asked for it. The lady took his order and said okay. I asked for absolutely no onion and therefore my taco experience with Shulas Kitchen was ruined. They were busy so I can give them the benefit of the doubt but even the prices made the trip not worth it. My boyfriend did enjoy his tacos, I am disappointed I was unable to try. read more

The best Mexican food in town and Bay Area. I've tried their entire menu and everything was so tasty. The best crispy Birria tacos I've ever had. I love the Bionico dessert. They also can make you a breakfast burrito even though it's not on their menu. I love that they have a small menu and that's why everything is so fresh and delicious! Places that have a big menu list the foods never fresh. The staff is super friendly. I've tried so many Mexican restaurants and food trucks by far Shulas is the best! read more

Just tried this truck for the first time. I wanted to get the street tacos, but they had already sold out of the small tortillas. This was my first clue that it would be good. I chose two Quesabirrias. The meat was very tender and tasty, as was the sauce they dipped the tortillas in. There was no sauce on the side, but it wasn't necessary. The tacos were moist. I would have preferred them to be just a bit less soggy, however. That might just be my preference and not yours. There was plenty of cheese and cilantro. Grilled onions were served on the side. Overall, quite good, but two Quesabirrias gets close to "gut-buster" territory. I'll go back for the street tacos. Very nice staff. Good service. read more

In the crisp and cold March air lingered a welcoming and enticing scent. A magically familiar sound emanating from the inside of Shula's Kitchen mobile caterer, that of their carne asada hitting the hot grill. Locals to Vacaville, my small family and myself are always keen to try new pop up food provisioners wherever they may be. By pure happenstance we came across Shulas Kitchen, it was tucked away in the parking lot with ample parking in the immediate area. The menu was easily accessible with a varied amount of items available for purchase. Street tacos, burritos, nachos, and burgers... just to recall a few things. We decided on asada street tacos, crispy birria tacos, quesabirria, as well as some steak nachos. I and to quench our thirst we went with some Horchata. The order was taken quickly and the transaction was efficient, tho we did pay in cash and couldn't speak on card transactions. The food came out rather quickly and was more than adequately prepared for travel. Pricing for this mobile site was appropriate for the quality and portions received. Now, the food itself. We can only speak on what we actually had. Now with that disclaimer out of the way, the food was great! Steak was well seasoned, tender, thin and flavorful. We could tell that Shulas Kitchen cared about what they where putting out. The birria that was used for the filling was juicy,tender, and again very flavorful. There was a salsa that accompanied the food which paired entrees perfectly .
