There are days I want to get my hands dirty and just go all "animal" on seafood. Usually, we would head to dampa for lunch or dinner. But, with traffic and all, I really don't want to go far anymore. Thankfully, Carlo and I have a new place to go to for our seafood cravings at Ayala the 30th Malls: Shrimp Bucket!
After having our first meal here, this place instantly became one of my fave restaurants to eat shrimp and mussels! I highly recommend that you bring your family and friends here. The menu only has a few items but the dishes they serve are all delicious. The last time I ate here (with officemates) we ordered the following:
- Deep Fried Baby Squid (awesome with beer!)
- Bag of Shrimp with The Mardi Gras sauce
- Bag of Shrimp with Frenchy Lemon Pepper sauce
- Bag of Mussels with with The Mardi Gras sauce
- Spicy Pork Belly
I know, everyone says that the Salty Eggsperience sauce is the best. Honestly, there is only so much of it I could eat. BUT, The Mardi Gras and Frenchy Lemon Pepper are my top choices! Actually, #1 is the Mardi Gras sauce. The sauce is made of garlicky chorizo and the chorizo oil is perfect with seafood. It's so good that, once you have eaten all the seafood, the chorizo bits are good enough to be put on top of rice and it's definitely a meal in itself!
Best way to eat the dishes here? Use your hands! Ask for gloves from your server and enjoy sucking on shrimp heads and mixing the sauce in your bowl of rice. * drooling * read more
