My mom and I arrived, and were impressed by the building setup, and number of other services that they provide. We need to get our passport photos done too, so we may be back sooner rather than later. What topped off our experience was the kind and genuinely fun conversation had with the woman who took care of us. She and my mom had such a good time chatting about cats and pet ownership. Fingerprinting Express has a remarkably high level of organization for their notary services. We were in-and-out quickly, with every step explained well, in laymen's terms, without ever being over-explained either. I thought that was a bit pricey but then I noticed there was a small star at the bottom indicating they had surcharges, gas up charges and additional fees. When I asked what those were the sales rep said an additional 30% of the total cost?!!! Talk about hiding fees and over charging! That would have been $455 for 25 boxes. I found another service that was going to charge me $150 for 25 boxes. I ended up having a lot more boxes than I thought and they still only charged me $250 total. I would have paid well over $500 for the same service with Shred-it. The other company is certified and gave me a destruction certificate on-site. I cannot believe how much more expensive Shred-it was. Talk about gouging the customer and taking advantage of a terrible economy and passing on high gas prices. I will never use Shred-it again.
