This is my third time using Shred City. They are very organized and have great customer service. Amber was the first contact, very friendly and connected me to Rita. Rita answered my questions about scheduling an appointment in Fremont and estimated prices for my four large bags of documents. She explained that the person picking up the bags would determine the actual price based on the size. The pickup was scheduled between 1pm-3p same day. I was very happy about that. The driver, Daryl arrived on time and was very helpful. He emptied the bags into the barrel and wrote up the sales receipt. He did a great job, nice guy, the bags were very heavy. Pretty easy to work with. Scheduled a truck shredding appointment for 120 boxes and the driver came on time and called ahead to make sure someone was on-site. I would have felt better if my items were shredded in my presence . I called ahead of time and asked if items would be shredded in my presence and I was told they would . When I get there a young lady asked for my box and said that it would be put somewhere until the drivers got there . Given what I was told on the phone, that did not sit well with me as I would have preferred the items being shredded in my presence and not left for later. For me , handing over sensitive information would have felt better if the documents were shredded in my presence . I am not saying bad things about the vendor but I am just pointing out how to improve the user experience. read more

I have nothing but incredible things to say about this company. The person that helped me through everything was Seth. He went above and beyond throughout this entire process. He set everything up for me and walked me through the entire process of how his services work. He answered all of my questions promptly and directly. We are cleaning out the parents' house and just used them to pick up 70 boxes of old papers for offsite shredding (cheaper option). Choices were offsite (at their shredding facility), or onsite (i guess they bring the shredder to you). They were awesome: steep hill, narrow street, tricky access, long walk, some stairs, no problem. The guys came in a clearly marked truck and were huffing and puffing for an hour, walking boxes out without complaining. Prices are very reasonable, no extra charge for the long walk (I wouldn't have complained too much if they billed for one). Office staff was professional and organized - my contact was Michelle: she scheduled the appt, made sure drivers had clear instructions for access, and job was completed as promised.
