    Pork chop dinner
    Carolyn H.

What an absolutely magnificent meal we had at Showthyme Act II. I had the pork chops with the most incredible plum glaze, farro and Brussels sprouts. The service was spot on, the epitome of Montana hospitality. Run, don't walk here!

Nice ambiance, good appetizers (Greek salad and New Orleans-style shrimp) and good dessert (bread pudding), and good wine list were the stars of our evening. The pork was okay in spots but grossly and fat in too many others. The lobster tails were large and the butter sauce adequate. Our waiter said he had a medical exemption for not wearing a mask. Regardless, as a health professional I have a problem with restaurant staff not wearing masks.

Hands down the most luxurious and welcoming place to celebrate my mothers 55th birthday. The food was spectacular! I got the Buffalo fillet mignon with my dad and my mother ordered the halibut. The owner took the time to say hello at our table and told us the history of the restaurant. The perfect place to celebrate and the interior was cozy and comforting. Candle lit dinner tables. Thank you for making this so memorable!

    Excellent lobster bisque

Go for the food. Period. Local, tourist, no matter. We were a party of four and intentionally ordered four different apps and four different entrees and tried everything. Everything was excellent and everyone had food envy of each other. We have had lobster bisque at many of the best restaurants across the country and this might have been the second best ever! This was my first time having Elk of any kind and the fillet was phenomenal. And the shrimp and grits! Wow. Had like a jerk seasoning added. So good. And so surprising for this far north. Highly recommend this place and everything we tried! Almost forgot to mention the pork belly app. Nice Smokey flavor!

If you're looking for a great meal with one of the best lakefront views in Montana, stop reading…read morereviews and just go to The Sitting Duck. We had an absolutely fantastic experience. The food was incredible from start to finish, and the service was even better. Bella was our waitress and was thoughtful, attentive, efficient, and checked on us frequently without ever being intrusive. Riley was also wonderful--bringing drinks, checking on our table, and making sure we had everything we needed. Behind the bar, Drew had fantastic recommendations and helped us discover some great drinks. They made my daughter's 10th birthday super special!!! Speaking of drinks- don't miss the fun cocktail that comes with a rubber duck. They also have an excellent wine list and a great beer selection. What really stood out was how friendly the entire staff was. We visited with our two children and our two Golden Retrievers, and everyone made us feel welcome. While we waited for our food, the kids had a blast playing by the lakeshore, throwing rocks, and enjoying the beautiful setting. As for the occasional negative reviews--this is a very popular lakefront restaurant, and during peak times it gets busy. That's part of dining at one of the most sought-after spots in Bigfork. Relax, enjoy the view, order a drink, and soak in the experience. Great food, amazing staff, beautiful location, dog-friendly, family-friendly, and worth every minute. We will absolutely be back.

Great location right on the water. Staff were friendly and the drinks were inexpensive.read more

The service was excellent, Niko was our server. I enjoyed the caesar salad. Several people ordered the short rib and really liked it. The presentation of the food was good. The filet was really good. I really liked the 1/2 potatoes, it was really yummy. The portion size was good and the prices were as expected. Since we were in a side room, it was a bit quieter and had soft music playing.

I decided to try the Lychee Basil Martini- not too sweet or dry. I recommend this if you like a refreshing cocktail. Then I was torn because I had to try the poke! It just sounded delicious so my friends said they would have some too. 3 of us shared this and my picture was after we all took a little. (Oops) This was so delicious- don't miss eating the seaweed too! It was perfect pairing. I decided on the chicken because of the starter. And my friend said it was so tasty. My friend didn't lie! The spices used were outstanding. I normally don't order chicken in a restaurant but this is a definite thumbs up! Finally for dessert - the huckleberry Oreo mud pie. Pro tip: let it sit & melt for a few minutes because the flavors really come out the longer it sits! Dinner fabulous We didn't make a reservation & got lucky they had a table open. Wait staff was very helpful and nice. Prices - very fair especially for a fine dining restaurant. I hope to return the next time I visit my friends. As my first trip to Montana I loved it and can't wait to return.
