I got my septum piercing done by Carlos for $70 (cash preferred). Make sure you drink a lot of water and eat beforehand! I didn't, and I also forgot you can bleed--which is normal. I felt faint after my nose bled, but Carlos was really nice and let me chill until I felt better. I'd definitely come back here if I got another piercing because of how comfortable I felt there. Not impressed. I didn't want to drive all the way out to my usual shop/artist for a simple,small text only tattoo and a few friends told me Showdown was a good shop. I was not pleased with the amount of time it even took somebody to acknowledge my presence (none of them were tattooing, just hanging out) then I got my overpriced tattoo which I wasn't happy with but was told to let it heal and I would be happy. Wrong. Had to come back to get it fixed, but that was the last time. Next time I will drive far out of my way to get what I want done right the first time. read more

I came here with my friend so I could get my nose pierced and she could get her nipples pierced. They took us in as walk ins and we just had to sign the consent forms or whatever it is and then we got right to it. I believe it was the owner of the shop that did both our piercings. I forgot how much my nose was but I do remember it was the most affordable price compared to all the other local shops. I want to say it was $30 for me and it was $45 for each nipple for my friend so $90 for her. The piercer was very professional and he walked us through the process to make us more comfortable. I highly recommend for piercings here. The entire process for both of us was very fast too. This was the second time I got my nose pierced. The first time was with a gun (which is very bad) so obviously it was less painful. This time it was all done by hand with a piercing needle (which is how professionals do it). All it really did was make my eyes water but since he obviously knew what he was doing it made it a lot more bearable. read more

If I could give this place zero stars, I probably would. Upon walking in with my boyfriend, the assistant at the desk just gave us this vacant look as if he didn't know what he was doing there, and he didn't know what we were doing there. In fact, the only person who greeted us was CHARLES who was already with a client and was already doing some amazing work. It was a saturday afternoon and there was only one other customer. My boyfriend and I did a walk in with the tattoo image on the ready and just needed some touch ups before stenciling and then inking. When SAM came in to assist us, he just looked like he had some place he'd rather be. When I told him that the design I came up with should be touched up to avoid the words from bleeding into each other in the future, he just waved me off dismissively. Before stenciling, I asked SAM as to how he charges as an artist and when he nonchalantly replied that it was by size, I already had an estimate of the price. Some artist charge by hour, some by image, and some by size.The most EXPENSIVE that an artist charges by hour is usually $80/hr. By size, my boyfriend's tattoo would be ranging from about below his collar bone on his left peck to his mid peck, at most, it would've been about $150 or maybe $200 including tip (it was a quote tattoo.) After my boyfriend was all inked up and SAM told him to go take a look at it, not only did we find missing lines in the text, but also places in the text that wasn't filled in. OH and by the way, he was using just a plain DRY PAPER TOWEL to wipe the ink off while tattooing my boyfriend. SERIOUSLY BRO YOU'RE FUNNY. You're suppose to use a tattoo-rag that is STERILIZED aren't you?! I don't know, maybe look over to CHARLES who is actually being professional about his work? So I asked him to fix some parts of the tattoo and actually PUT IN the missing line-work and curvatures and guess what, he hurriedly, half-@$$ed-ly filled it in and was ready to charge us. He charged us $300 for less than 1hr of work. Not to mention it was so half-assed that it could be deemed incomplete. DO NOT COME HERE FOR SAM. If anything, schedule or do a walk in with CHARLES. He's got some amazing work and actually appears to be serious about his profession. read more

Man I don't even want to write this but people seriously need to be warned. I came in to have lobe piercings done, a lobe piercing is 18g. He pierced me with a 13g needle and put in 14g jewelry. Even stated "like usual" multiple times to me about the reference to the jewelry size. This is not like usual, this is malpractice. I have chunks of missing skin in my earlobes, which I have downsized to 18 g earrings. I have been bleeding like crazy especially out of my right lobe, and it was so large that it actually messed up the shape of my lobe making it push out to the side. I just honestly can't believe he did that to me and tried to convince me that was normal, it certainly was not. For reference, a belly button ring is the same size as the needle he used, I just honestly don't know what to do, I want to file a lawsuit but don't even know if I can. Don't come in guys it's not worth it I don't want to hurt this guys reputation but he should own up to his mistakes and be responsible. read more

On a whim i stopped by Showdown to inquire on getting some fancy script on my forearm. Shop was easily accessible, easy parking. Beautiful,clean parlour. The artists were all very friendly and helpful. I ended up getting " Mi Vida Loca " on my forearm by artist Joe Ortega. He did a great job and made sure I was happy with the placement and was comfortable. Good work for a fair price. Was very happy with the end result. I will be back. read more

Jorge is one of the best artist in this area. He has done one full sleeve and working on the other. Not pricey at all for the quality of work you get.... After getting an estimate online for a tattoo i really wanted, Larry responded and I couldn't set a date since I lost my Yelp info, and when I got it back I texted the number Larry had given me for another one I had in mind and he told me to come in this Friday (10.12.18) and honestly I have NO complaints. Came here on Sunday with my sister to get my nose pierced and although they asked me if I could wait 15 minutes since they didn't know if the piercer was there, one dude there helped me really fast (He was doing a tat but does both tats and piercings). I didn't catch his name but he's the same guy that's been working there when I went in 5 years ago to get my cheeks pierced. SUPER cool dude, did my piercing fast and I was outta there! They totally remodeled the place since I was there last, looks awesome!
