Steve Sievers of Showcase DJ kept the wedding reception of our daughter and her new husband (through the cocktail hour, dinner and dancing) running smoothly throughout the night. He worked with the couple on a playlist and what they wanted for announcements. Everyone danced all night long and enjoyed themselves immensely. Highly recommended. read more

Steven was awesome!! He was the DJ for our wedding and everything went perfect from beginning to end! I loved that he followed everything that we filled out on his form and he knew how to "read the room" in regards to what songs to play so that our guests stayed on the dance floor the entire time! Highly recommend Steven! read more

Steven was our DJ for our 5/5/23 wedding at The Hacienda. He is on the venues approved DJ list. My husband and I spoke to several other DJs. But our vibes were not matching with anybody until we met Steven. We set up a Zoom meeting so that he can get to know what we are looking for. We loved that he has a program that allows us to add songs that we would like played. We were even able to make a list of "Do not play" songs, which came in handy when my aunt tried to request a song on that list in which Steven was professional and respectfully let them know that per the bride and groom he will not play it. He was also an awesome emcee. A couple of days before our wedding we scheduled a phone call to go over details of announcements and timelines. He also made sure he knew how to pronounce names of our wedding party. We got so many compliments on how much fun people had on the dance floor. I was even surprised that my husband and I spent so much time dancing with our friends and family. I've never seen a dance floor packed and continous dancing with every single song! Thank you so much Steven :) read more

Steven was great to work with! We hired him for our wedding at The Hacienda where he is a preferred vendor there. I loved how organized and user friendly his website was, he made sure to communicate with us to make sure he knew what we wanted too. Showcase DJ - DJs Near Me

I have been to too many weddings where the DJ made or broke the entire evening, so needless to say I was anxious choosing one for my own wedding. Luckily, a friend in the wedding business recommended him because she remembered he had done a great job at weddings she had worked. I am so grateful for that recommendation! Steven was available and was the only DJ I had to interview. I immediately felt it was the right fit and loved all that he had to offer - you could tell he knew his stuff. He was so helpful during the last planning session, recommending ideas and insight as to what he typically sees at other weddings. So thankful for some of his tips! He seamlessly worked with our photo/video team, as well as our venue. The best part of all was we had a rogue family member grab the mic to give a speech and after about 10 minutes of awkwardness, a friend of mine told him to gracefully transition to the next thing, which he did with ease. Not a fun situation to navigate but he handled it the best way possible! Steven was the perfect emcee, played all our requests, took requests, and kept the dance floor alive ALL night. The biggest compliment we got after our wedding was over was that it was one of the funnest weddings anyone had attended and I credit Steven with most of that! He even posted a clip of everyone dancing on the dance floor on his instagram, which was fun for us to see after the wedding. Could not recommend Steven more, it's an investment worth every penny as it sets the tone of your entire reception! read more

Steven was amazing to work with and helped to facilitate my dream dance floor at our wedding! He has a lot of experience and so even from our first conversation, I could tell we were in great hands no matter what our specific needs or tastes were. We hired him for the reception package with lights, and he did a fantastic job of pulling from our favorite songs playlist and mixing in similar genres and reading the room to keep the dancing going all night long! Myself, the bride, I only left the dance floor once ... it was my dream to dance the night away and he truly made it happen! I was on a high from how fun it was for a week! He also helped with the dinner music and some ceremony needs where he seamlessly coordinated with the live musicians that were playing alongside a pre-recorded original song of mine. The logistical side of everything was so user friendly and easy. He was communicative and professional, and well-equipped for all of our technical needs. I would definitely recommend him for any event! Thank you, Steven! read more

Steven was awesome! We had him DJ our wedding on 4/2/22 and are very glad we did! He was the first to respond to our inquiries for DJs and quickly set up a call with us to discuss what we were looking for. The tools on his website were easy to use and allowed us to choose songs we wished to play and add in any notes. He gave us a call the day before the wedding to go over everything and make sure all was set. They day of, everything went smoothly and the music flowed perfectly! Steven was pleasant to work with and we would definitely recommend him! read more

Steven was the best! Super responsive and easy to work with. He met all of our requests and made our wedding reception extra fun! This is the third party we've hired him for and plan to continue to have him be our resident DJ :) read more

When we first started to look for a DJ for our wedding I was really nervous because I know how important music is in a wedding; however, when we met Steven he immediately made me feel comfortable and relaxed. We hired him for the ceremony and reception which were in different locations and everything went so smoothly including providing microphones on the Groom and the Officiant. He has great advice, and a wonderful system for helping couples to pick out music and developing a playlist from the start of the ceremony to the last song at the reception. The music was perfect and Steven kept the party going all night. I can't say enough good things about Steven, he was so nice and helped to make our wedding day perfect! read more

We had the pleasure of having Steven DJ and emcee our wedding of 60 earlier this month in Huntington Beach, CA. Although our wedding was not as large as we would have liked it (thanks to covid) with Steven's smooth emcee skills and perfectly tailored playlists, he made the overall vibe and "hype level" that of a 150 person wedding! He truly helped make our special day an absolute blast!! Very flexible, easy to reach out to and with a quick response. My husband and I would 100% recommend Steven to anyone in service of a DJ. Provides fun up lighting and dance floor lights to set the mood. Lastly, loved that he had great outlets and platforms for us to help pick our songs and easily organize them! read more

Steven was a great MC for our wedding and it couldn't have gone any smoother than it did!!! Everything we requested from the introduction to the end of the wedding was on point. I definitely recommend Steven for your wedding and you won't regret it!! read more

My husband is in the music industry and had a DJ in mind when we were planning our wedding, but when we were told we'd have to book our DJ from the vendor list our venue gave us, we were not too excited about it. Most of the communication and booking was done by my husband, but by what he would tell me when he'd check with me to make sure we were on the same page about things, I absolutely love the way Steve does business. 1. Steve offers not only DJ services, but we also booked lighting and photo booth (which came with a photo book). What's not to love about getting more things checked off your wedding planning list, when possible? 2. From the initial meeting, we could tell that Steve knows what he is doing and was very professional following up with us to secure our date because he had multiple inquiries for our wedding date. 3. Steve was very familiar with The Hacienda, our wedding venue, which made it easy for him to communicate with our wedding coordinator. One less thing to worry about during wedding planning! 4. The process for selecting the music for our reception was the best. Steve sets you up with a web account for a service he uses to get your preferred music list and gives you a limit of songs, so you're aware how much music you'll need. Just recently, Steve sent us another album for our photo booth photos because we ran out of space on the day of. He didn't have to, but I think this is one of the things that distinguishes him from other wedding DJs. I definitely recommend him for your entertainment needs! read more

Steve was our DJ at our wedding at The Hacienda earlier this month and was AMAZING! He was so great to work with from the very beginning. He was professional, fun, and made our wedding so perfect. We uploaded a list of all of the songs we wanted to play as well as the ones we definitely didn't want played and he was so great about reading the crowd and knowing what to play throughout the night. Thank you Steve for everything! read more

If you want to skip the details below, just know that STEVE IS AWESOME!! Definitely hire him and you won't be disappointed. He is totally self sufficient, he shows up on time, quietly and quickly sets up, does a FANTASTIC job, and wraps up quietly and quickly at the end of the event. No surprises, just awesome service for a really, really good price. The thing I appreciated the most about Steve's service, other than the fact that he did an awesome job of playing great music to keep our guests happy, is that I didn't have to do anything in terms of telling him what to do. He's a pro, and you can believe he will do it right even if you don't have specific instructions for him. I could not be happier with the service he provided. Really professional, really great music choices, and he just all around kicked butt for us on our big day. Additional details: My wife and I spent a lot of time speaking with different DJs and MCs for our wedding in August. After dealing with a few shady characters, it was really great to finally find Steve. I initially planned to send him a list of all the songs I like and to go over all the details of what we wanted, but my girl and I just couldn't find the time to do that. So, on the day of the wedding, I told Steve some basic information about what genres we like and don't like, and from that 30 second conversation, he was able to pick back to back great songs all night. He also has a website that really lets you customize every aspect of his services from planning your timeline to picking exactly which songs you do or don't want. His sight actually makes it easier to plan your wedding because it has all kinds of features that give you an idea of how to schedule things along with recommendations for music for any given part of the wedding. read more

Steven is absolutely the best. I am a wedding photographer who has worked with many DJs over the years but I only have a few on my preferred vendor list and Showcase DJ is definitely number one on my list. Steven is professional, responsive, friendly, helpful and he makes every wedding reception flow with his excellent emcee-ing and he always stays on top of the schedule of events. He also is a team player, working well with all different vendors to make sure that every event is successful. He always works very closely with his couples to select the right music for their wedding day vibe and is excellent at putting their minds at ease when it comes to music selections. Highly, highly recommend! read more

Steve DJ'd our wedding last month and everything was absolutely PERFECT. Our planning meeting with him was great and the whole process was super easy. He has a website that allows you to customize the type of music you would like played. You can specify which artists NOT to be played at all, or create your own playlist song for song. You also plug in you information for announcements, special dances, etc. VERY user friendly. And on the day-of Steve was so great. He was there early, ready to go, and kept the flow going throughout the whole night. Perfect wedding night - we were so happy with Showcase Steve!! read more

Showcase DJ is the best DJ ever! My new husband and I used Showcase DJ at our wedding in Dana Point. When our venue coordinator didn't show up on the day of our wedding, he stepped up ran the entire reception! He kept the night moving smoothly and I didn't even know something was missing until I was told the next day!!! He was more than just a DJ!! Also, we had the best party of our life and everyone had so much fun!!! He played the perfect combination of music to keep the dance floor moving, more than 70% of people stayed till closing!!! SO MUCH FUN!! Thank you Showcase DJ for saving my wedding day!!!! read more

It pains me that we took so long to write this review for showcase DJ. We had our wedding in January. We were very stressed out about how to chose a DJ. Do we ask for a sample? Do we crash some weddings? Luckily I have an amazing wife that was clever enough to find showcase DJ. Steven was the main reason our wedding was as fun as it was. I've been to a lot of weddings where the dance floor gets hot, then cold, then warm. I'm not bias when I say that the dance floor at our wedding was crowded all night! Steven got our vibe perfectly from his easy to use software that allowed us to add all the songs we wanted played. He even had an option for songs NOT to play.... hell no YMCA or chicken dance! It also kept us organized as he had separate sections for us to add songs for the father/daughter dance and other specific moments for the reception. I can't recommend Steven enough. He was very well organized, attentive and talented. He truly made our wedding a night to remember. read more

Steve was AWESOME! One of our mutual friends recommended him for our wedding this past weekend, and I was not disappointed! He made sure the whole evening ran smoothly, came out to check on us outside because I'm pretty sure I was on the verge a breakdown! He knew exactly which songs to play for each little thing we did, from the dinner, to the cake cutting, to the last song, he just got it all perfect! Super easy going (which helped me stay calm!) and fun to just around with while I gave my dancing feet a break!!! Thanks again Steve!!! read more

Steve is very friendly and easy to work with from the beginning! His website is easy to use. He even has an excellent, timeline, songlist tool to keep the night organized! You can customize your night as much as you want, or leave it up to him! Steve looks and speaks professionally so he makes a great impression! Thanks Steve for making our wedding at Bowers June 2017 very fun and memorable. Guests were shocked they were dancing! You got them bumping on the dance floor! Cheers! read more

My husband and I hired Steve for our reception on April 2nd. All we can say is WOW! He did such a great job accommodating our tastes and any time we had questions or comments he was there. Our initial meeting took place at our venue where he gave us the run down of his services and setup. We asked for uplighting that he was more than happy to provide. This really made all our decorations pop. Using his online tools to set up play lists and a timeline of events was simple and intuitive. Anything that we couldn't find on the list he was more than happy to find for us. The second meeting before the event we were unable to attend in person but Steve made sure to set up a time to have us chat with him to iron out any details that still remained. He really helped with suggestions on things we missed, like a cake cutting song. The day of the event was so great! He showed up an hour and a half early to set up and we didn't have to worry about a thing. From then on it was a blur. He nailed the cocktail and dinner music and when it was time to start dancing he really had a feel for the dance floor and kept everyone moving. After it was over we wished we could keep going! We have also received countless compliments on how much fun everyone had at the reception, and we owe a lot of that to Steve. We can't recommend him enough! read more

My wife and I are SO glad we hired Steven as the DJ for our wedding this past July. He was communicative, professional, reliable, friendly, and most importantly - really, really good at his job. Like, really good. On the day of, he really came through - the DJ was never something we had to think or worry about on our wedding day. In fact, during and after the wedding, we had many guests come up and tell us how much they loved our DJ and how good the music was. No lie, like at least 15 people asked if we had made the playlists ourselves. We even left the music selection entirely up to him for the dancing portion of the night - only giving him a general idea of what we would like in terms of genre and vibe - and he totally killed it. I don't know how he did it, but he did. He kept the party alive without ever making the music/DJ the focal point of the party, and everyone loved it. Seriously, we cannot speak highly enough of him - if we had to do it all over, we would hire him again no doubt. read more

Ryan and I hired Steve as our DJ & MC for our wedding last year. Ryan and I had never had to hire a DJ for any event before our wedding so we did not know what to expect. Steve walked us through the whole process and was extremely helpful. He helped us with song selections, was extremely patient with us, and responded in our questions, emails, calls in a timely manner. Steve's DJ skills was awesome! Our wedding night was amazing! Everyone had a great time and he really catered to our taste. We had certain "musts" and "Must not's" for our music selections and he really nailed it all! Not only was he great with us, but he was friendly with the guest and kept everything lively! Steve and Showcase DJ is a must have for your wedding and party's!!! xoxo Lily & Ryan Kirkland read more

Showcase DJ - May 3, 2014 Thank you Steve!!!! xoxo Lily & Ryan Kirkland - DJs Near Me

Steve was very friendly and super helpful throughout the entire process. He answered all my questions and really made me feel confident on my wedding day. Everything flowed perfectly with Steve emcee-ing the wedding. When it was time to cut the cake my mom was nowhere to be found and we were told to wait for her. Steve came up to us to ask if everything was okay and kept our song playing until she got there and we cut the cake. Super attentive and really CARES about his clients. I would 100% recommend Steve to anyone looking for a DJ. If you want true professionalism, a DJ who really wants your day to be perfect and can get the party going pick Steve! read more

Steve did an amazing job at our wedding and my new wife and I couldn't have been more grateful. He played a lot of the requested music at the right times. Working with Steve was SO EASY. From our first conversation I felt totally solid with his ability to provide our wedding guests with a fun evening. The planning tools on his website were easy to use, thorough and made everything simple. There were a few key songs we wanted to have played during cocktails and dinner and I'm positive we heard them all. During our final consult, I told Steve that I didn't care what music he played during the reception as long as people were dancing and having fun. Boy did he deliver!! Every time I was on or near the dance floor, he was playing a great song and people were dancing. I would highly recommend Steve to anyone looking to provide a fun environment for the guests. read more

Showcase was our DJ for our wedding. The first time we talked with Steven, we knew we had picked the right DJ. He was very thorough with explaining the different packages available without trying to up-sell us to a more expensive package. Steve is AMAZING at what he does! We couldn't have been more thrilled to have him as our DJ/MC! Our wedding was in the morning, starting at 11am, and Steve arrived super early (dressed to impress), got everything set up and had music playing before our guests arrived! Even before the big day, he asked to meet with us so that we could go over every detail, including the timeline, to ensure that everything went smoothly... and it did! During the entire planning process, whenever we had any questions regarding music, the timeline, and pretty much anything else, we would contact Steve and get an almost immediate response back! He's been in this business for a while and it shows through his professionalism and knowledge. His website is also user-friendly and packed with tons of resources and information that made it extremely easy for us! He also worked extremely well with the photographer and videographer during the wedding to make sure that everyone was on the same page. He'd also check in with us and let us know when the bouquet toss was going to happen, the cutting of the cake..etc, to make sure that WE were ready. We've been raving about Steve to our soon-to-be-married friends and we'll continue to recommend him! He's honestly the best in the business; you really don't have to look any further than Steve!! read more

We had DJ Steve for our wedding on 1/2/15. This DJ company was on the referral list from our venue: The Hacienda in Santa Ana. He was awesome!!! The first thing I loved about Showcase DJ was that their prices were listed on their website. VERY reasonable prices. He was the first one to email me back and was always very prompt. He drove out to our local Starbucks to meet with us 5 months before our wedding to discuss our preferences and everything. We submitted all our song choices and schedule onto a form that is on their website. We could go back to the forms and edit if we thought of any more songs we wanted to play. We got uplighting, dance lights, and a photo booth all from Showcase DJ. Because we ordered 3 or more services, we got a discount. The uplighting looked GORGEOUS in our venue!!! It truly made it beautiful. DJ Steve kept the party going! Guests were on the dance floor all night. The dance lights were awesome, festive, and fun! He was very friendly, personable, and made sure he had everything in order before the wedding. Thank you for making the music and photo booth at our wedding go so smoothly! read more

Steve was an excellent DJ! I never actually met him in person prior to the wedding day, but out of all the DJ's I talked to, he was the most professional so I had to trust my gut feeling and go with him. The venue staff also highly recommended him. He communicated well via email, helped with the planning process and called me a few days before the wedding, so that he can learn how to pronounce my bridal party's names correctly. Most of us have long and complicated Filipino/Hispanic names. I maximized the song request list and I didn't know it was for about 7 hours of reception, and we only had about 2-3 hours max, yet he still played all the songs I really wanted and he had most of my guests dancing the whole time. Everything went smoothly and my guests had an amazing time! Thank your for your excellent service, Steve! :) I would definitely recommend you to my friends and family for future events! read more

Can't recommend Showcase DJ and Steve enough! Steve went above and beyond to help shape our wedding in the perfect night! I think having the right DJ and music is important, because it can set the tone for the whole night. He was so easy going and friendly I knew just from a short phone conversation I didn't want to look any further. (I'd had a pretty odd meeting with another DJ and one that was completely unresponsive.) I could tell he was very laid back, which was just what we wanted. The others all pushed things that we completely did not want to do, and one straight up told me they wouldn't play our music because other people wouldn't enjoy it..(we weren't playing anything crazy..) We didn't want to do a lot of the traditional wedding stuff, just wanted good music and for everyone to have a good time. We are kind of picky with our music, we don't like a lot of top 10 stuff.. but Steve went and found all of our requested songs. His online tools made it super super easy to pick out all the songs you wanted and enter in all the info he'd need for the night. We also booked our photo booth through him and everyone had a great time using it. There was a separate person overseeing that to make sure it ran well. He was hilarious too. Lots of props and it was great how you received prints for every person in the photo, and there was an option to upload it to social media immediately. Steve definitely help keep things running smoothly all night and we really appreciate it. Overall, I believe his rate was slightly higher than what others quoted but it was 1000% worth paying a little bit more to have someone we were completely comfortable with than some of the other I spoke with. Worth every penny! read more

Steve was such an amazing part of our big day - we're so grateful we took my big sister's recommendation (he rocked her wedding too) and asked him to be a part of our wedding. Because that's really how it feels with Steve - he's with you every step of the way. He took the time to come out and meet with us in person to get an idea of how we wanted the day to go, and to get to know us as people. He guided us through the selection process (his music portal is so easy to use even I could do it), and checked in with us throughout to make sure we had everything ready. He did the photo booth for us too - which was such an awesome source of entertainment for our guests. It had a line most of the night and our guests were so excited to have keepsakes they could print and email themselves. The price was so reasonable - we did the photo booth instead of wedding favors and I think we came out ahead. I know our guests felt like they did. Steve is a thoughtful, experienced, and awesome DJ who can help guide your entire ceremony along. He's so experienced in weddings he can offer a lot of helpful advice on other pieces of the day such as your timeline as well. Since I self-coordinated my wedding, I really appreciated and relied on Steve as well as my photographer to make sure the day went well. Long story short - book Steve for your big day. Steve was an awesome DJ at my wedding! He had great online planning tools that made it easy to select music. He played the music we wanted, and made sure to include songs from different eras to get everyone dancing. He called ahead of the wedding to get all the name pronunciations and verify the songs we'd picked out for the bouquet toss, cake cutting, garter toss, first dance, and father daughter dance. He was a great emcee on the day of the event as well! He also provided a projector and coordinated with us at the last minute to play a video. He was great! read more

Steve was recommended by our day-of coordinator, and I'm so glad we found him Steve was so accommodating from our first meeting. He got to know us and our needs, and sent us to his website, which makes everything so easy. We were able to pick all our requested music in advance, and categorize it by our events (e.g. pre-ceremony, cocktail hour, dancing). We were even able to add a do not play list. He ran the music for our ceremony and even though the party walked slower during the ceremony than the rehearsal and the song ended early, he mixed/extended the song without a hitch, so no one even noticed. During the reception, he was a phenomenal MC with the perfect presence when he needed to get people's attention, without trying to steal the show. He kept the dance floor rocking all night long and was really able to read the room. He made all our requests happen and still managed to take requests from our guests. We also hired him for dance floor lighting and uplighting, all of which looked gorgeous. Look no further- Hire Steve immediately! read more
