Wow is all I can say!! Superb! If you get a chance to watch a movie here I would def take it…read more I parked in the Eden shopping centre car park so it was just a short walk to the Cinema in the shopping complex. We went to see 500 Days of Summer (also excellent by the way!) and I gasped out loud as I walked into the Screen. It was HUGE! The screen was tremendous and there were approx a gazillion seats. Lovely, modern, clean, wonderful image quality, superb audio. Tremendous all around. I am not sure if it was due to the quality of the film or the superiority of the cinema design but despite the size it was a very intimate and personal experience. Sweet popcorn was great too. (Yes the cardboard style popcorn, whatever! Judge me :) ) I wish it was nearer London but as I often travel to Oxford I'll be making a stop here on my way past as often as I can. Due to being in the Eden shopping centre there are plenty of restaurants, shops & starbucks about too... ps. I had a hotdog!! I hadn't eaten for ages and the staff looked like they could do with some help meeting their sales targets. They were nice. Ok I had two but I don't recommend them cause I was too hungry to be a fair judge.

The new Cineworld cinema is part of the new Eden Shopping Centre and has 12 screens. It's well…read morepriced with all films before 5pm just £5 per tickets. It also has cheap Tuesday tickets and an unlimited scheme when for £12 a month you can see as many films as you like. As it has 12 screens it shows a really good choice of films with lots of showings every day. The food is pricey as it is in all cinemas but no one forces us to buy it. Unfortunately you do have to pay to park but it is cheaper after 6pm.

First of all, the staff at this cinema are fantastic. Really nice people who are extremely helpful!…read more This is a small theater and seems fairly indie, but is very affordable and the theaters themselves are very spacious. It's very clean and all seems very new. I had a weird experience with the bathrooms, it got so immensely crowded at one point that women were using the mens room. And that was really uncomfortable. But other than that the bathrooms are clean and nice. The theater is attached to an Italian restaurant called Strada which is 5 star quality as well. So grab your date and take her to Strada and then to the Regal Cinema for a dinner date extravaganza! There is a lot of alcohol to be purchased so drink up during the film and forget the ending so you can watch it again!

The Regal Cinema within Henley was quite a refreshing experience…read more The staff were absolutely lovely. They were helpful, productive, knowledgable, approachable, and funny to boot. The theatre was very clean and comfortable and within walking distance to many restaurants and pubs. The list of alcohol available was impressive, the fairtrade coffee and snacks of White Chocolate-Coated Raspberries, Wasabi Peas, Mixed Sweets or Lemon-Salted Cashews were a nice addition (although there was the typical popcorn and candy) and have yet to see the like elsewhere. Cheaper than London, although most places thankfully are. Adult £8.00 Member £6.00 Concession (Mon-Fri) £6.50 Children £5.00 Family of 4 £21.00 The Regal Cinema is by no means a large venue, but you will find many top billings and various shows that you cannot find anywhere as well as showings dedicated to autistic children and their families.

When this was your typical flea pit cinema, it was still a wonderful place to visit. I remember…read morecoming out of seeing Return Of The Jedi pretending I was an ewok, excitedly leaving after watching Marty McFly in Back To The Future and being less than enamored with Flight Of The Navigator - well you get the picture. Then it fell into disrepair and became a place you dared your mates to break into during the late 1980s after school had finished. Now, The Rex (as all good cinemas should be called) has been restored to its former glory. When I say former, think 1930s Art Deco, plush red seating, original projector and art house matinées. The place is a treat and a MUST visit for any cineophile. Prices are reasonable (approx £7 at time of writing) but availability is tough. You need to quick on the phone as it seems every person in Berkhamsted is a paid up member. Before each performance (and they are performances!) you can relax in the lobby where there are books on film to paw over or head down stairs and grab yourself a beer or a glass of wine. It's that sort of place. Do make sure you get to your seat in time for the traditional, and I found informative, pre film introduction from the Manager, James. A proud, curious creature James embodies the character behind this most charming of movie houses.

This is more of an experience than a simple cinema, and seems hugely popular book in advance.
