Because our guests had a lot of food issues - gluten, nut and dairy it was a real challenge! Stephanie carefully curated a menu that hit all of our requirements. In addition, because we live out of town for most of the year, our decorations, holiday plates and whatnot were quite limited. Stephanie put my fears to rest by assuring me she'd take care of all the details. As the day of the party dawned, we had the place all cleaned up and ready. Stephanie and Mary arrived about an hour before the guests and set to work transforming our little place into a festive, inviting party spot. We had holiday cocktails and mocktails, delicious heavy appetizers and desserts that were out of this world. Stephanie literally thought of everything. All the food was labeled so our guests could choose foods that were best for their food sensitivities. At the end of the party they gathered everything up, helped set aside uneaten food for later consumption and left with very little for us to other than sweep the floor and fall into bed after a very fun and satisfying gathering of friends. I knew when I got engaged that…read moreI needed someone to help with the little details since I knew there would be a lot of them. I met with Aaren about a year before my wedding date and during our first meeting I really think we hit it off just right. I felt like I was talking to someone who truly "got me". I think Aaren knew that I was a Type-A (OCD) bride and she was able to calm my nerves. During our meeting she explained to me the different packages they offered. I knew I wanted a day before/day of person, but I also liked the idea of having someone help out during the month off for all of the other things. I wanted to do all the planning, but I needed someone to do the implementation. It was a done deal. I left that meeting and I knew I needed Aaren in my life! Soon after our first meeting I called her to confirm and sign a contract! It was a huge relief for me to know that I had Aaren. She made me feel at ease. Throughout the process I e-mailed her questions about etiquette and I kept her up-to-date with other vendors. I knew she was keeping a folder so whenever I had an update I would send it her way. I would like to think I wasn't a needy bride, but I know there were times when I started panicking for no reason. Aaren always calmed me down. By the week of my wedding I had a ton of items and decorations to drop off with her. I met her in her office and talked through my "vision" and provided her all the items she needed. She also had all my other vendor information and told me she would be in contact with them for the timeline of the event. I did not need to worry about anything! Honestly, it felt great to not have to worry about anything. I think I did a good job of just letting things go. Aaren and 2 assistants arrived for the rehearsal and had all the details confirmed for the next day. By the day of the wedding I was actually very "chill" since I knew Aaren and her team would make sure the ceremony and reception were set up correctly. She was my point person for the day and did an awesome job at handling all the day of things. By the time I made it to my reception the everything was set up just as I had hoped. Aaren really did listen to me and she made sure everything was just right. I knew I could trust her to get things done right. Again, as a type-A person it was hard to let go, but Aaren was the best person for me to trust. I didn't even worry about anything. There were a few minor issues that came up throughout the day, but with her help no one knew anything! It was flawless and my wedding was everything I had ever imagined it would be. Thanks to Aaren and her team for all of their help and assistance to help make my wedding day magical.

    We were a "COVID Couple" that had originally planned to get married in May with 100+ guests, but…read morewhen quarantine rolled around, we made the difficult decision to move our date to September and cut our guest list to below 50. Through the whole process, Orlando's was right there with us with compassion, love, and understanding. They bent their own rules by doing away with their standard minimum guest count, still honored the per person price, gave us a partial refund and credit towards goods and services for the big day. This was totally above and beyond what we would have expected for any business in an industry hit extremely hard by the pandemic, they took the loss in fairness to us and that right there tells you the integrity of the business in extremely tough times. If that was how the story ended, that would be enough to give a 5 star review. But the wedding weekend absolutely blew us away and far exceeded our expectations. We booked out the majority of the rooms at the Lodge at Grant's Trail (owned by Orlando's), hosted our rehearsal dinner at the lodge, and had our reception at Orlando's. I would recommend this trifecta for any couple looking for a great place to host the wedding weekend. The lodge is a perfect Airbnb feel, with the privacy and convenience of a hotel room (having private bathrooms is nice). We had the entire lodge to ourselves that weekend which allowed us to have a central location for all of our family and friends to hang out before and after the official start times of our weekend events. The Mary Lincoln and Abe Lincoln room were perfect for bride/groom separated sleeping the night before and big suite on wedding night. The included breakfast is cooked to order and served as if you were at a restaurant. The venue space worked perfectly for a rehearsal dinner and allowed everyone to safely walk to their rooms after the party instead of having to drive. The lodge is a MUST add-on to the wedding weekend when booking at Orlando's. Did I mention it's walking distance to Orlando's event center?? Huge plus. Our reception was at Orlando's event center and it was everything we had hoped for and more. First of all, the room itself was beautifully decorated and was the perfect amount of space. They have three separate rooms in the event center, separated by air walls, which to be honest was a big concern for me going into it. I thought you might be able to hear everything going on the next room over, but never heard anything from the other rooms the whole night. The prices are a great value compared to everywhere else we looked (and we looked at a lot of places). Finally and most importantly, the staff there was incredible and put the icing on the cake of a perfect weekend. We ended up having Sam Orlando Jr. as our wedding coordinator and his customer service was EXCELLENT. Always willing to work with us and always went above and beyond to make us feel special and to ensure we had the most perfect weekend. From the top down, everyone on the staff was personable, friendly, attentive, and willing to go the extra mile to make sure we felt special. Carol was a crowd favorite and Timmie the bartender even sent us a handwritten note after we got home from our honeymoon. The staff and the service are the reasons we will be returning to Orlando's for future gatherings and parties and why we would recommend anyone to book with Orlando's for their wedding weekend.
