Black sonata SEL
Jalyce M.

I was contacted by this dealer after I inquired online about a Hyundai Sonata. They kept calling me about a vip promotion and getting employee pricing and higher value for a trade in. I let them know I didn't want to spend more than 25,000 on a vehicle and I didn't need to come in if they couldn't meet my price range. They continued to call me 6-7 times a day so I made an appointment. I located the car I wanted online and did the online trade in value for my current vehicle on their website before visiting. I drove an hour and fifty minutes through traffic to Canton. I get to the lot they don't have the car I requested. They have a different one but I look at it. The car isn't as specified online with dark gray seats but it has light interior. (If you see this online they are referring to the doors not the seats). I then ask what the employee pricing is and what the numbers for the car are? They proceed to provide me with a paper that says the cost of the car is now $30,000 instead of the $25,000 listed online. When the numbers break down even with my trade in, employee discount, rebates, and the dealer giving me credits I was a till going to owe $25,000. I assume they didn't want to give me the value I requested for my trade in so they called themselves increasing the cost of the car. They then told me I couldn't put more than $4000 down on the car though I wanted to pay the majority of not all of the car off. I kept asking how after all the credits and discounts and trade in value, did the car cost the amount listed online still???????????? This was an utter waste of time and very unprofessional. I wouldn't dare recommend this lot to anyone. I'd recommend you drive to another state before stopping here.

The process started online, where the pricing and vehicle information were clear and easy to review. Leon was very responsive, transparent, and efficient throughout the process, which gave us confidence before we even arrived at the dealership. At the dealership, Alexandre was extremely friendly and welcoming. He patiently answered our questions and took the time to explain the vehicle in much more detail than we had experienced with previous new-car purchases. He also went above and beyond to make sure everything was ready for us. The finance process was equally smooth. Everything was handled professionally, efficiently, and without unnecessary pressure. Most importantly, we felt that we were treated fairly and were able to purchase a great vehicle at a very competitive price. The entire team made the experience straightforward and comfortable from beginning to end. We would definitely recommend Cherokee County Toyota and would consider buying from them again in the future.

A FORMAL COMPLAINT REGARDING MY EXPERIENCE AT CHEROKEE COUNTY TOYOTA…read more Today, I experienced what I consider to be an unacceptable level of disrespect and unprofessionalism at Cherokee County Toyota involving Mark Paschall. I arrived to pick up my vehicle following repairs and had a legitimate business question regarding the parts used to service my car. The employee at the desk called for Mark, who was standing less than five feet away and engaged in a conversation with another customer about Georgia Power politics and deer. I politely addressed Mark by saying, "Excuse me, Mark." Rather than responding professionally or acknowledging that I needed assistance, he responded in a condescending and dismissive manner, essentially questioning whether I could see that he was speaking with someone else and telling me that I could wait. I understand that employees may be assisting other customers, and I have no issue waiting my turn. My concern was the manner in which I was addressed. There is a professional and respectful way to communicate with every customer, regardless of the circumstances. What made this interaction particularly disturbing was the apparent assumption that I was a new customer, when Cherokee County Toyota had serviced my vehicle approximately six to seven months earlier. Regardless of how long someone has been a customer, no one should be made to feel inferior or unwelcome when asking a legitimate question about their vehicle. The interaction left me feeling disrespected and raised serious concerns for me about whether my race and gender influenced the way I was treated. I cannot speak to Mark's intentions, but I can speak to the way his behavior made me feel. I found the interaction deeply offensive, especially because it appeared that he viewed the situation as humorous rather than recognizing the seriousness of how he had addressed me. I requested to speak with a manager, and we discussed the incident. I explained that I intended to contact corporate management and share my experience publicly. During this discussion, another customer entered the conversation to defend Mark's behavior, which added to my frustration. I have since submitted a formal complaint to the corporate office. I expect this matter to receive a thorough and impartial investigation, including a review of any available surveillance footage and statements from those present. This is about more than one unpleasant interaction. It is about customer service, professional conduct, dignity, and accountability. Customers should never have to question whether they will be treated respectfully when conducting business. I am requesting that Cherokee County Toyota and its corporate leadership take this complaint seriously, investigate the incident, and take appropriate corrective action. I also expect a meaningful response explaining how this matter will be addressed. I will continue to pursue the appropriate channels until my concerns have been properly addressed. No customer should leave a business feeling belittled for simply asking a question about a service they received. Respect is not optional in customer service. Accountability matters.

I recently purchased a used Nissan Frontier from Chevrolet of Canton. I had been looking for this…read morespecific configuration of the Frontier, and they had exactly what I needed. Russell, the salesperson, was the only salesperson I have ever dealt with in six months of looking for this Frontier who was straightforward from the "get-go." I was not trading in a vehicle and did not need financing. When I emailed them for an out-of-the-door price, Russell quickly responded with a figure. So many dealerships would not do that; they want you to come in, and they want you to consider this or that. They never give you anything in writing. The price was a little higher than I thought best, so I told Russell what I needed it to be to make the purchase. Their original price was not far from my offer, as it was already priced very competitively. Anyway, we closed the deal, and the entire process was amazingly a pleasure. The finance manager who handled our paperwork was also terrific! I cannot recommend this dealership enough. I have spoken to many dealerships, and these folks were by far the most straightforward, honest, and nice to work with!

I recently attempted to purchase a new 2026 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Custom Trail Boss from Canton…read moreChevrolet, and unfortunately the experience was disappointing enough that I chose to take my business elsewhere. I do not waste time driving to dealerships to negotiate deals. I handle everything remotely until it's time to sign paperwork and take delivery. On September 21, I inquired about a truck and began working with Shawn Watson. The negotiation process was slow, but after several days of back-and-forth discussions, we finally reached an agreement on numbers by Thursday. The process then moved into financing. On Friday, I was advised that financing had been secured and that I should come into the dealership. Before making the trip, I simply asked who the approval was through and what the financing terms were. After those details were provided, I had a few questions about the numbers on the buyer's order. That's when the experience took a turn for the worse. I received a text from Finance Director Lee Baggarly explaining the effort he had put into obtaining the best available rate. However, when I requested a phone call to discuss my questions regarding the financing terms, I was told: "At the end of the day, the numbers are the numbers, so it is on you to choose yes or no at this point." I was also informed that there were customers waiting for him in the office. As a customer who had spent nearly a week negotiating and completing the buying process remotely, that response made it very clear that because I wasn't physically standing in the showroom, I wasn't a priority. I had already experienced some attitude earlier in the sales process and chose to overlook it in hopes of completing the deal. Receiving the same type of response from the finance department was the final straw. I immediately informed the dealership that I was no longer interested and would be taking my business elsewhere due to the attitudes and lack of professionalism I had experienced. A phone call was later attempted, but by that point my decision had been made. The following day I received a message apologizing and stating, "I realize I should have used a little more tact." While I appreciate the acknowledgment, the damage had already been done. By then, I had already purchased a truck from another dealership. The unfortunate part is that Canton Chevrolet didn't lose the sale because of price, financing, or inventory. They lost it because of customer service. When a customer is ready to buy and simply wants clarification on financing terms before signing, they shouldn't be made to feel like an inconvenience. I cannot recommend Canton Chevrolet based on my experience. There are dealerships that understand every customer deserves respect and professional communication, whether they're sitting in the showroom or conducting business remotely. Purchased elsewhere. No regrets.

He said the inventory online isn't always able to keep up with what's actually on the lot. So we discussed more about my preferences to determine what else they might have for me to drive. He then went off to meet with his manager and bring me back another vehicle to drive. This one was very nice and I was interested in making a deal. Unfortunately, the amount was more than double what I said I would be willing to pay for a vehicle. More than double! He and the manager went on to tell me about how much vehicles cost nowadays. I said that wasn't my concern. I've got no interest in vehicles that are more than double the price I want to pay. So they spoke for a few more minutes and mysteriously the price went down. I didn't want to go back and forth, so I just said I'd try my luck at another time. Although they were nice, it was a waste of time and they didn't take my preferences into account when showing me vehicles.

I completely understand that purchasing a used vehicle "as-is" comes with some level of risk, and I was prepared to handle normal wear-and-tear and minor repairs. However, significant engine-related problems and alternator issues this soon after purchasing the vehicle are extremely disappointing and concerning. Consumers should be able to make an informed decision before purchasing a vehicle, especially when major mechanical issues may already be present.
