Silver Brick Grill menu (January 2024)

Straight forward and very reasonably priced bowling alley. Everything was clean and it was easy to get a lane, shoes, and balls that worked for everyone in my family. I've gotten really tired of trying to bowl in the middle of a night club with the excessive flashing lights and loud thumping music (which seems to be the standard everywhere else). So if you're looking for a place to actually just bowl, then this is the spot for you. This is definitely now my go-to spot for bowling moving forward!

Snack bar menu as of November 2016. We got burgers, fries, and mini tacos. Food was good.

Went here with friends and family for some casual fun bowling (I am not good at it so I can't judge the quality of bowling equipment but think it's a fun social activity and can judge the general experience). The guy behind the counter was jokey and nice. Rental shoes were almost all brand new. Didn't have to pay until we were done. Lanes seemed newer and had automatic bumpers. They had monitors up high and the computer score software worked fine (we played two rounds and there were no glitches - usually when I go other places we have to correct scores or turns at least once or twice). Benches seemed to be saved from the old set up which we liked despite a few cracks here and there; gave it that classic feel. They had a small bar where we got some beers. Snack bar had hot food (general bar food; I posted a picture of the menu) that they made pretty quickly and was pretty tasty. Plenty of fluorescent loaner balls to borrow. Some weren't in the best shape but I suspect if you cared enough about that you'd be bringing your own anyway. :P Overall had a fun time. Not the fanciest flashiest bowling alley but had all the things you'd want for a fun evening activity.

We went here because a diff bowling alley was full. And now this is the only one we come too when we are ready to bowl!

Stopped there on a whim, I haven't bowled in years. Staff could not have been nicer or more accommodating. I think I'll start bowling again.

I learned about Mappy, obscure for good reasons, which oddly features a microwave in its cat-vs.-mouse battle. Silverball is acclaimed for its unique pinball collection but I veer more to video games, especially Super Breakout. An offseason weekday in Asbury Park means hotels aren't $400 but the boardwalk is also a bit too quiet at that time, so I'm thankful that Silverball helps create a sense of place year-round. (For my financial news nerds, Silverball's current rating average is 4.6 and there should be an "adjusted EPS"-type number that excludes any negative reviews about the food. I have nothing bad, or good, to say about Silverball's cuisine having never tried it but I assure you there's fine fare within the designated Asbury Park/Ocean Grove/Neptune/Bradley Beach Designated Metropolitan Area.)

There's a concession area inside Silverball. Food served is typical for such a place as this, pizza, chicken nuggets, fries, food and drinks catering to children's tastes and priced reasonably. Definitely recommend visiting Silverball Arcade if you're in Asbury Park. You and your family will have a great time there:).

My family was visiting from Tennessee, and we brought all of our kids (including a 6-year-old) to bowl around 10 AM. When we arrived, we were told that all refillable water bottles had to be left in the car, which we understood might be due to their policy on outside beverages. However, the situation escalated after we finished bowling and went to order food. Before ordering, my cousin politely asked if her 6-year-old son could have a cup of tap water because he was thirsty. The woman at the snack counter refused and then asked if he was part of a disabled children's group that was present. When my cousin said no, she dismissed her request entirely. This was very concerning. A child was denied a basic cup of water, after we had already been required to leave our own water bottles outside. We ended up spending well over $100 there, including food, yet something as simple as tap water was refused. I later called to ask about this, and was told that "disabled children need water to take their medications." That response was even more troubling. No one asked about the child's needs or medical history (not that we should even have to disclose this), and access to water should not be conditional--especially for a young child. This experience felt unprofessional, dismissive, and frankly unacceptable. Denying a child water under these circumstances is not okay.
