They have a separate entrance for the women's gym, but since we are both male we went through the regular entrance. If you're a female, you an use both. They have a little dining section right when you enter where you can make coffee and relax. The rest of the floor is the gym which is massive; I'll be honest in that I didn't get to see everything cause we were pressed for time. They have a very nice pool and hot tub in the back. I didn't get to swim but the pool looks nice and clean. Locker room is in need of some updates. It was a little crusty and the carpet was peeling in some spots. Overall, it's a nice family gym that needs some small updates here and there. I will definitely be back!

VERY expensive…read more Yes, they have many small towels for gym use, and larger ones for the locker room and showers, pools, etc. I don't use any tennis, pickleball, or the group classes. The Spin classes used to be GREAT and may still be. But my schedule has changed... One would expect a parking lot with less potholes and legible parking space painted lines; but the parking lot and the grounds keeping has been neglected. There is an appearance of high class but for what they charge, the pool area is rather old...the weight room has mostly older equipment; they do seem to be updating some of their bicycling and treadmills, etc..but they are so slow at it....they are always a couple years behind with their equipment updates....Why should Work Out World have newer and better equipment than The Atlantic Club...????? It seems management is currently seeking to save money. Maybe something about the clientele: Older people and their grandchildren home from college. Unfortunately many of the classes' time scheduling are not suitable for my schedule...if I didn't have to work, I'd be golden! It seems the ones I wanted to do are when I work. The trainers on duty are often talking amongst themselves, or on their phones...as often as they are putting weight room equipment in order...they will certainly answer your questions about certain exercises, or how to use equipment All the employees are courteous and very friendly and helpful. The clothing/gear store doesn't have much I can use. Mostly women's apparel and accoutrements. There is a point system that I have yet to figure out...one accumulates points for purchases and just checking in at the front desk. Men's locker room: Although there are plenty of lockers, the layout is horrendous, and I hear about it almost every time I am in there: Not enough room to dress. The rug is nasty in the locker area. Someone replaced an old shower nozzle with a nice newer one but left the loose spigot handle sitting there without fixing it. There must be an attitude of indifference in the workers... I really like the place, but for the amount they charge....OY ! Yes, it is cool to see lots of expensive cars in the parking lot, but don't their owners care about how TAC is going downhill?

I visited Manasquan for the first time in several years today and I was shocked at the level of disrepair evident everywhere in the club. The men's locker room was particularly disappointing, and the showers were frankly unsanitary and covered in mold. What was once a lifestyle club with immaculate facilities is now substandard to the $29/month clubs. It's embarrassing to be a member of the Atlantic Club now.

I'm used to a very organized gym that lumps all leg machines together, then flows into all arm machines together, and so on. Wasn't the best gym I've been to, but it got the job done since I'm visiting from out of town. I give them credit for keeping the place clean (locker rooms and workout space alike) because honestly that's all I really want out of a gym that I'm visiting while I'm down here! Also, shout out for the complimentary day pass. If I were to live in Toms River on a budget, I'd definitely use Planet Fitness because of how low the fees are. I'm used to paying almost $100 a month for my gym up in CT, but that's another story for another Yelp review... Also on a strange note, they have grape candy at the front desk. If you want to be a member, there are pre-requisites, such as proximity to the club and knowing someone who is already a member (sponsor). With membership, you have access to the club as well as the private boat launch/ramp. Inside the club, you'll find a magnificent bar, staffed with some phenomenal people, as well as a full service kitchen. The views from the bar of the barnegat bay and Toms River are soecatcular, by far some of the best in the area. The food is good and the drinks are plentiful....it's a great spot in the area. They also care about the community, with sponsorships for a lot of local organizations as well as the police department. This club is a great place for the community and it's members are some of the nicest people on the Toms River!
