No chances for a free game by shooting a hole in one on the 18th here but it's definitely a great course. A bit on the pricey side but worth it considering the up to date layout and location on Jenkinson's boardwalk. Very recommended.

Disappointed by the Service - Would Not Recommend…read more I recently played this course and unfortunately got rained out after only three holes. While I understand that weather can be unpredictable, what I found unacceptable was the complete lack of flexibility or customer service. Despite rain being clearly in the forecast, there was no mention of a "no refund / no rain check" policy when I paid. It wasn't until I returned to the clubhouse, drenched and hoping for at least a 9 hole rain check (I would have taken a coupon for a bucket of balls), that I was told--rather rudely--that there would be no compensation of any kind. A staff member named Ricky was dismissive and snarky when I asked about a possible rain check. He pointed to a small sign in the corner, claiming the policy has been the same since the 1990s, as if that somehow made it reasonable to exclude this basic courtesy. This lack of transparency, poor attitude, and total disregard for customer experience left a bad taste. There are too many great courses out there that treat golfers with respect and common courtesy. I won't be returning--and I'd advise others to look elsewhere before paying an excessive amount of money to play a course where the staff has a pretentious attitude and 0 care for the customer.

The course had an inviting driving range and seemed to be home to some fine golfers. The Fairways were wide, the distances from the blue tees challenging and the greens rolled nicely. I enjoy courses carved out of natural woodsy settings and this had that Monmouth County near to the Jersey Shore feel. Review of Golf Course Only:…read more I was lucky enough to be invited as a guest to play this private club this past week 1 day after a week of torrential rains. Arrive to a very organized bag drop area for guests as most private clubs are mostly members playing. Very helpful in welcoming us, and on the carts and off to the range we go. Range mats only today with max distance 190 yards. Carts are dated no GPS. With young college kid fore caddie assigned. Of we go to an absolutely magnificent golf course from layout to conditions, to maintained bunkers etc. Really top shelf as a private club of this nature should be. Only knock which could be from the weather greens looked much faster than they were though if you get them rolling properly this course would be unreal. Pace of play was ok as busy for a Thursday afternoon. Unfortunately the 1st year fore caddie with absolutely no experience was pretty much a waste of time but being a guest I certainly can't say anything negative. In short Course itself really top shelf - didn't even visit the inside facilities so I can't comment, and being a guest I'm not going to be overly critical of staff etc as I certainly have no right to voice my opinion of a private equity club.
