The facility is pretty old fashioned, as it only accepts cash and most of the hole-marker decorations are the same as they were when my father came here as a kid. Also, most of the clubs were rusting and there were no left-handed clubs. However, none of this stopped us from having lots of fun! We were a group of seven, and while the rule is only "five per party," the employee allowed us to keep our whole group together since the course wasn't very busy. There was a nice breeze while we were playing, so the shade-less course wasn't really a problem. We played at our own pace and celebrated every hole in one, creating great family memories. *ONE THING TO NOTE* There is only street parking near the golf course, and since it's right next to a cluster of pickleball/tennis and basketball courts, almost every street spot was occupied. We ended up parking at Wawa, which was a good choice because we could stop for post-game snacks after we played!

The owner came over and got loud in my face aggressively asking me "what are you doing??! can't you see it's backed up, I just lost a family of 5!!!" I told him I'm with a 3 year old and I backed up because he made me uncomfortable. He stepped forward into my face again and got louder. I told him to get away from me that he's lucky my husband and father aren't here. He said "am I lucky or are they?" and proceeded to approach me and my stroller with my baby in it aggressively. So I grabbed my kids and got the heck out of there! The owner is insanely unprofessional/creepy...id steer clear of that place with your kiddos! We paid to be there and couldn't finish our game. He was more worried about making more money than letting the people that paid already have a good time. He could have easily just let us finish or asked nicely! But he felt tough because it was a group of women. Never seen anything like it. We want our money back.

While on a road trip heading south, we decided to explore a few spots. Originally, we planned to stop in Atlantic City, but since we weren't getting tattoos (our longtime artist is based there), it didn't make much sense to go. Thankfully, we figured that out just before hitting Exit 82 on the Garden State Parkway! It felt a little surreal--and honestly, nostalgic--to walk around and see the places we'd only watched on MTV. Naturally, the first place we headed was The Shore Store (also reviewed separately!). We purchased a round-trip Sky Ride pass for two for under $20. The ride was smooth, peaceful, and gave us a great overhead view of the pubs, games, and amusement rides the Jersey Shore crew once enjoyed. After the ride, we grabbed some snacks, including shrimp and fries. It was a cool, crispy, not greasy, meal that hit the spot. Overall, this stop was a fun, quick detour full of throwback energy and beach-town charm. If you're ever nearby and want a little slice of pop culture and coastal boardwalk vibes, it's worth the visit!

I am absolutely disgusted by the video circulating of the way this establishment treated a group of…read moreBlack women who were simply touching up their makeup in the ladies' restroom. From everything visible in the video, these women were not causing a disturbance. They weren't yelling, harassing anyone, blocking the sinks, or preventing other patrons from using the restroom. In fact, you can clearly see other women washing their hands without any interference. The woman recording even explained that she only began recording after another customer--not an employee, manager, or security guard--decided to tell her she couldn't touch up her makeup. Instead of handling the situation professionally, it escalated to a male security officer entering the ladies' restroom and aggressively ordering the women to leave. If management genuinely believed there was an issue inside the women's restroom, why wasn't a female manager or female security officer sent in? That decision alone is difficult to understand. The biggest question remains: What exactly were these women doing wrong? Women have been fixing their makeup in public restrooms for generations. It's something people do every single day. If this establishment truly has a policy prohibiting it, where is that policy, and is it enforced equally for every customer? What is impossible to ignore is that the women being confronted were Black, while the other patrons visible in the restroom appeared to be white. I can't know everyone's intentions from a video alone, but I completely understand why this interaction has left so many people questioning whether these women were treated differently because of their race. Whether intentional or not, the optics are terrible, and the way this situation was handled reflects poorly on this business. Yes, one of the women became upset and used profanity after being confronted. Frankly, after being publicly embarrassed and treated like she had committed some sort of offense for doing something millions of women do every day, I can understand why emotions boiled over. That reaction came after the confrontation--not before it. Businesses don't earn respect by humiliating customers. They earn it by treating people fairly, consistently, and with dignity. Based on what was shown in this video, this establishment failed miserably. Until there is accountability and a clear explanation for why these women were treated this way, I will be taking my business elsewhere and encouraging others to think twice before supporting an establishment where treatment appears to depend on who you are rather than what you've actually done.

I got a large bucket which was 3/4 of the way filled, the balls looked painted over to hide the scuffs and cracks, they had virtually no dimples remaining.... If you are looking to improve or work on your game, unfortunately this spot is not it. What a shame.
