A good friend recommended that we look into Shore Catering for my son's College Graduation Party. I went into their office, off Drum Point Road months before the party, which was Saturday, June 11th. I met with Summer who walked me through the prices and the options. We chose the BBQ package. Hot dogs, Cheeseburgers BBQ chicken, salads, condiments, baked beans, ALL the plates, forks and spoons, napkins. Everything was included. Met with Summer a week before the Party and we had a final count of 75 guests, mostly young adult College students. They like to eat. The per person price was reasonable, so we were ready to go this past Saturday. The truck arrived a little after 2 pm. We had Donna and Mike as our chef and server. They set everything up under their 10 X 10 Tent , unloaded the grill and got cooking. They took care of every need we had for cooking and Mike was exceptional at the grill. Donna was so friendly and helped us with massive amounts of garbage once everyone ate. The package included watermelon slices and cookies. Everything was cleaned up and packed away by 7 pm. The food was amazing. Friends couldn't stop talking about how GREAT the Baked beans and coke slaw came out. A dear friend was amazed with the coke slaw. He said it was as good as his Grandma's recipe. The BBQ chicken was delicious. Donna wrapped up the remaining food left from the party and frozen food was immediately placed in the freezer. We've been enjoying left overs for 3 days now. We had enough food to have several couples over the next day for Dinner. GREAT JOB read more

We hired Shore Catering for a baby shower this weekend. They brought chicken parm, eggplant parm, baked ziti, kielbasa and sauerkraut, plus salad, bread and all the plates and plastics and serving utensils. The driver, Xavier, was very friendly to everyone, polite, and helpful to all. The food was excellent. Fresh, plentiful and delicious! Everyone at the shower wanted the name of the caterer and it was happily provided. The eggplant parm was a particular standout (not to downplay anything else!) as a couple of people were very picky eaters and praised it continuously. Cannot say enough good things. We took a chance after searching online for some time. They were fantastic! We got married in our backyard. We had a slew of dietary requests. We delivered plant based dairy options and they accommodated. When we dropped off the plant based ingredients they were so friendly, it was such a great vibe at their shop- we felt welcomed. We had such a family close knit feeling. At our wedding the crew was great. The gentleman with the crew shelled people's lobsters upon request. Our server constantly walked around and made sure everyone had what they needed. They were lovely, personable and happy and just such a joy. They packed up all the food that was leftover (highly uncommon, in our experience most places don't do this) and we were able to have a second reception with our friends the next day. Hire them! Start to finish our experience with Shore Catering was absolutely awesome. Very easy to understand menu options and the variety offered is so great for any event you have. In our case we had a corporate summer barbecue, and the BBQ menu was perfect for the type of event that it was. Everything was appropriately priced as well. The catering team that handled the event Mike and Kaylen were so professional but also incredibly friendly and attentive to all of our guests. Their set up and clean up was flawless- and the food was so delicious! I'm not sure about there catering but the walk in food is not that great. It feels like they don't want you in there because they are always busy making catering orders. The food is not that great depending on which person makes it... had a new guy that didn't know what a turkey club was? Had to ask other people. Another time I got a chef salad... I've had better prepackaged from shop rite. It was crappy iceberg lettuce with sides of ham and turkey and shredded American cheese. Lame... I also tried a turkey melt. I watched them take the turkey and put it on a plate, throw a bunch of American cheese , and then microwave it for 45 seconds ... uhhh thanks. For the high cost of there sandwiches it's just not worth going back. read more

We just had shore catering out to our home to host a clam bake/housewarming/belated wedding type party and I have to say they did a FANTASTIC job. As in, could not have possibly been any better. Arrived at the prescribed time with a pick-up and trailer - unloaded a MASSIVE amount of stuff (and I thought I had a hard time packing to tailgate!) and were setup and cooking in under an hour. Lobsters, clams, potatos, crabs, corn, melted butter - it was all there and all cooked absolutely perfectly. I've no idea how the hell you make 70 lobsters all at once and have them all come out perfect, but they managed! Tails and claws both cracked making it INCREDIBLY easy for our guests to get at the good stuff. In between cooking, they were also helping with cleaning up plates and whatnot that were kicking around the backyard. INCREDIBLY friendly and completely self sufficient, they wouldn't even let me give them water (they brought their own). At the end of the party, cleanup was a snap and they were packed up and gone in no time flat! One thing to be aware of when booking: you are expected to have about an 18% tip on hand in cash (they tell you this well in advance). Overall, WELL worth the price and made for a great party...our guests were thrilled (As were we) and we would absolutely use these folks again. Cannot recommend highly enough!!! read more

I now live in Ohio moving there from Jersey. I ordered by phone a sandwich platter to bring to my son's house (who lives in Jackson, NJ) on Christmas Day. I prepaid the order. When my husband picked it up Christmas Eve, it was simply awful. He said he thought to himself when he saw it "my wife is going to flip when she sees this". The sandwiches were squished together, placed on top of another in a messy and haphazard manner. It looked like the platter fell on the floor and was then hastily thrown back on the platter. The lettuce, olives, carrots slices placed with toothpicks seemed old and wilted. The lettuce was shredded messy-ugh!. They included olive oil and vinegar on the side I don't know for what. To put on the sandwiches that were already soggy? I never saw a platter with such terrible presentation! - and I have ordered many a platter. Including preparing them myself when I have time. I paid over $70 for crap. I threw the whole thing out. I went to WaWa and got some sandwiches which were fresh and good. I'll NEVER order from Shore Catering again! read more

Food quality and taste just wonderful, as well as plentiful. For our wedding reception we chose a lobster/clam bake - The clams cooked to perfection and of the best quality, the lobsters, enormous and some of the best I've ever had. I too can't speak for the catering although it looks good. As far as the deli end goes they make a good sandwich with quality meats but unfortunately for a hefty price. The sloppy joe style sandwiches are great. As far as your staple breakfast sandwich in NJ very disappointed. Got 2 pork roll egg and cheese on a roll (1 for a friend) and a coffee which added up to almost $15.00!!!! Very large roll with maybe 4 tops,thinly sliced pieces of pork roll and an egg. Was mostly bread,but must say the roll was fresh. To be fair they mostly do catering so I'm sure that's is their focus. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The place very clean but for that kinda money it was disappointing. read more

Shore catering is fantastic! They are so easy to work with, the food is FABULOUS and the staff is fantastic. They catered my brother-in-law's celebration of life. We had to plan everything from Massachusetts and they couldn't have made things easier! We wanted a relaxed atmosphere and chose to have fried chicken, BBQ ribs, sausage and peppers, mac and cheese, cole slaw, salad, corn on the cob, and cornbread. With all the hype of Valentines Day and the busy work and school week, we decided to spend a quite eve at home and enjoy with the kids for Valentines. No one really wanted to cook after getting home after 6. Shore Catering offered a Valentine dinner special for a great price which included, shrimp cocktail, salad, Rib Eye Steak, their infamous almandine string beans, garlic baked potato, crème puffs & chocolate covered strawberries (decorated like tuxedos). We picked it up hot and it was delicious. No need for being involved in the Valentines rush at restaurants, paying inflated prices and risking a less than stellar meal. I ordered from here on a regular basis. It is perfect for a fresh sandwich. I order on the telephone and the last three times they messed up my order. I still go back because it is so close to home and serves good deli items. Baked items are delightful. I don't know that I would trust there catering services due to so many errors. read more

here goes my first review ever. we had a clambake catered by shore catering in brick nj. the party was called for 5;30pm with dinner to start at 6:00. shore catering said they would be there an hour and a half early to set up. they arrived with my guests at 5:30 and said they had traffic. the lobsters weren't ready till 7;20 pm. by then my guests were ready for dessert. the clean up was messy with large very heavy leaking trash bags. the seafood smell was pungent. the people from shore catering were nice. i expected better for a clambake that cost more than $2500. i spoke to patty who told me they can't be responsible for the traffic(LEAVE EXTRA TIME AND MAKE SURE!) she offered me a $50. refund. read more
