My rating is 3.5 stars. I'm rounding up. I hadn't shopped at Shoppers World Brampton for well over a decade until this year. My first experience was at Giant Tiger. My most recent experience was last Saturday at Rexall. My visits were great. The best aspect of this mall is that you don't necessarily have to walk the entire mall to get to every store. During this pandemic, I have avoided going to malls because I simply didn't feel comfortable being in a vast indoor area with people. Instead, I like visiting the stores that I need and don't get me into a full-blown mall environment. These businesses have separate entrances that you can bypass the mall ones: - JYSK - Staples - Giant Tiger - GoodLife Fitness - Canadian Tire - Bad Boy - Bulk Barn - Spoonful - Kitchen Stuff Plus - Oceans Fresh Food Market - Medix - Winners This mall has pretty much everything that you want in a mall. Dental and medical services. Nail salons. Women's, men's, and children's clothing. And more! I like that there's a Fabricland next to Kitchen Stuff Plus. To me, it's highly appealing. The food court has your typical chains, such as A&W and Bourbon St. Grill, and a few local eateries that I have never heard of. Coo! I was pleasantly surprised that there's a huge Ocean's Fresh Food Market. I'll need to visit this grocery store sometime. I'm working my way through everything slowly. The Brampton Gateway Terminal is in front of the Giant Tiger and Staples stores. The setup reminds me of Polo Park in Winnipeg. Buses drop you right in front of the entrance, and you shop until you drop before boarding a bus to carry your weary body home. I was pleasantly surprised at how better this mall looks these days. I did not know how old the SWB mall was until I looked it up. It opened in 1969! Despite the upkeep through the decades, it's tired. You can put lipstick on a pig but it's still a pig. Both the exterior & interior design/layout seem something frozen in time. Nevertheless, the 150 or so businesses at Shoppers World continue to serve the growing City of Brampton. The city transit system also has a hub here which provides transit rides easier access to spend time here. read more

Overall Shoppers world is a decent mall, there are mostly mom and pop shops so if you're looking for more popular/ trendy stores it might be better to go to a different mall. I can't find anywhere to leave a review for this Hair Revolution so I will leave one here just to warn people. I had an extremely horrible and unprofessional experience at Hair Revolution. This is a warning! Avoid this place! I do not want anyone else to be humiliated and subjected to what I endured. I went for a colour and blow dry but did not receive either. The stylist did not know what he was doing. My hair was pulled, damaged and left tangled. I sat over an hour with dye in my hair while he went to barber someone else. At the end he was literally pulling random pieces of hair and running the blow dryer through it, some pieces numerous times while missing other sections, the pain was so unbearable I actually had to ask him to stop and then was given the brush to finish my hair myself. I was charged full price when I did not receive any service and then given his barber card . read more

I went to buy some paint and after standing at the paint counter for 30 minutes I approached the customer service area to request assistance apparently out of the 9 people behind the counter could mix paint now we are going into 45 minutes and the only customer so finally I get someone to mix my paint but he mixes it puts it on a shelf and walks away. Another 15 minutes goes by and still standing so I grab the paint and go back to the customer service where the guy who mixed the paint is standing and I ask him is the paint ready? He tells me he told me it was ready and then told me I was being rude lol I wasn't being rude they would of seen rude. The manager comes and I told her that her associate called me rude and she said she didn't have time to deal with me. I asked if Canadian tire made fun of people with disabilities and she completely treated me with a great deal of grief. Wow where has customer service gone and stop faking your a manager when you cant deal with people or paying customers who pay your salary. If I could give negative stars that would be better as they dont deserve even one star. Shame Shame read more

I went there yesterday around 10am -12pm and was met by a creepy man who kept following me at the end of every aisle, only getting close to me a couple of times. It was very weird at first as I did not realize he was following, I just thought he was an employee who was watching me cause "racial profiling". but he wasn't dressed as an employee, he was just there. Indian, tall, beard, adidas black sweater with hood, levis light blue jeans, and black shoes, medium build, maybe 200lbs. I tried to tell the employee (female) she did absolutely nothing except for tell me that he wasn't even in the store and that he's just another shopper. It was very frustrating feeling as though I can't be safe inside a dollar store. Hopefully someone reads this and stops this man before he harms someone. read more

This is a very sad mall. It's big, but sad :( There are some big anchor stores: Canadian Tire, Target, Staples, and Winners, and some usual mall stores like Pharma Plus, Reitman's, Bentley, Suzy Shier and Le Chateau. However, the majority of the stores are little independent shops, but not cool indie shops that have neat things you can't get anywhere else, more like weird ghetto shops with poor quality things that you would find at flea markets. Other than the food court which looks newly renovated (Subway, Taco Ball, KFC, New York Fries, Edo Japan, etc.) the mall looks drab and run down. If you are from out of town and are looking at reviews of shopping malls for cool places to shop, do not let the name of the mall deceive you, this would not be considered a shopping destination (especially if you are from a large city). However, if you are ever bitten by the nostalgia bug and long to revisit your childhood where you went to Dufferin Mall when there was still a Woolco's or Galleria Shopping Centre (the one on Dupont St., not the Korean Supermarket) when the anchor stores were Towers and Food City, Shopper's World Brampton might take you back...if only just for a little bit. read more

Since the store I'm looking for doesn't seem to have s review , I think i will put it here . NAILS for You salon If your looking for a nice shellac do not go here ! Bad service, the beginning and to the end went in for a mani pedi first got taken in fast ,however the foot bath was made really cold and even when they made it warmer it wasn't by much thou . The owner put the jets on walks away . There for a 10 mins or so and realizes I should have a massaging chair and look around see the control and do it myself ... I have no clue what all that did but I got it to work 5 more mins still in jets no one helping me water getting colder and then my jet starts to squirt off so one tec stops it , then I wait another 10 mins ice cold now and I asked for a towel 30 mins in it wasn't enjoyable anymore . In the end this salon doesn't care unless you spend a lot cuz they push a sale but they aren't about care or quality . Mani shellac cracked off in 2 days. I called them they said they would look and fix it . I show up and they say how I will pay for the colour and would have to wait for the person who originally did my nails but they had 4 others available .this is where I decided to just leave and become a yelp reviewer as I stand about to leave they practically beg me to come back to fix it , I just said no thank you but the woman who did mine seriously said you come we will fix it . They did redo it but it's very ripply and it's only been day one of the coat but I'm sure by Tuesday will be cracked ! Big thumbs down 1 star is too good for them 0 is much better read more

Although the selection of fashionable clothing merchandise is limited, and there are vacant storefronts, this mall still stands out from the rest for the following reasons: 1. Has a variety of optometrists, dentists and doctors to choose from; 2. There is a notary public and law office dealing with wills, family law, litigation, real estate at very reasonable prices; 3. There is a school called Medix where you can get cheap massages from students; 4 There is a Microskills office which offers help in finding a job/update skills; 5. The Winners has an awesome selection and is cheaper than other Winners (carries all the higher end name brands, MK, Coach, BCBG, Soia & Kyo & much more); 6. There is a Target and since the mall is not busy, you don't need to rush to get the awesome designer collaborations; 7. Tons of jewellry selection; 8 Canadian Tire with a street hotdog stand; 9. A portrait studio with nice backgrounds; 10. Oceans offers affordable chinese/japanese food and of course, groceries; 11. There is a Staples, so along with the lawyer, notary public, Microskills and Medix, this place is a great stop for business owners; 12. There's a bar in the mall, which I think is pretty cool; 13. Has a cool comic shop that offers free comic book day; 14. Hosts several community awareness events, such as elder abuse awareness and hosts blood donation on the regular; 15. Tons of activities for kids, lots of shows for kids be it trick or treating the mall, Dora the Explorer, Care bears, arts and crafts all free!!!! As such, the above is why I actually really like Shoppers World Mall in Brampton. read more

Oh my, where do I begin? Let's start with a history lesson! So, I grew up somewhere in between 2 malls: Bramalea City Center (though farther away) and Shoppers World. I have very fond memories of SW: Being taken by my parents to Biway (What a suggestive title in hindsight) and Kmart when I was little. In elementary school, getting repeatedly kicked out of Seventh Star Billiards upstairs by scary gamblers for wandering in to play The Simpsons arcade game. Getting stood up for my first online date who I met in a seedy chat room. Rocking every face in Futureworld on Mortal Kombat 3 when I was in Junior High. So many others, but you get the idea. You'd think there'd be some serious nostalgic mojo going on here for me. With that in mind, I ask...WHAT THE FRIG HAPPENED?! I get it, nothing lasts forever, but with every year that passes, Shoppers World wanders off from everything that made it even remotely cool. Now it's a shadow of the shadow of the shadow of its former self. Here's the rundown. First, it gets points for the updated food court area, though pickings are slim, and comparisons to Bramalea City Center's vastly superior food court are unavoidable. There are still a few stores that are worth going into I suppose: Bluenotes, We Got Games, Zellers, Canadian Tire, Foot Locker, La Senza and a few other woman-centric clothing joints, and Cinnabun. Obviously I'm leaving out a few others, but they're nothing that you won't find in any other mall. The sad part? The good stores mentioned only amount for about a third of the mall. The remainder is occupied by so many drab shops, and a few of them almost look like you've stumbled into the flea market. OH BUT WAIT, GREAT NEWS! It seems that after years of making rubble on the North end of the property (after the demise of their Bay store), they're finally pulling a BCC and ready to step up their game and open up a...BEER STORE. Stay classy, San Diego! The cleanliness of the mall has also seemed to take a hit in recent years, and it just looks so ghetto. Between that, all of the seniors stinking up the place with B.O. and hogging all of the places to sit down, young kids starting fights with security, and general annoyance of ignorant shoppers getting in your way, you'll want to steer clear of this place like the plague. At least until they decide to step their game up, and aspire to be something more than a second-rate emergency evacuation center option when the big one drops. read more

STAPLES I waited 40 minutes for an employee to help me when there was no one else in the store. No staff approached me. When the employee who finally helped me came back from looking for the product I needed he yelled to the person at the printing area to tell me to go see him at the front. After spending an hour there I would not go back. Do not recommend if you want in and out. read more

I went shopping here to find clothes and every single store in there only carried small sizes like size 0-5 or on the rare occasion a 10.I am a size 13! I can only find bigger sizes on a rare occasion or most often it is smaller sizes then my size and it is frustrating. I leave the mall wanting to cry as I went to all the stores and had this issue. Add more sizes especially plus as well. Not all women are super skinny, some have curves and meat on their bones! read more

What is wrong with the washrooms? I used the washroom near Dollarama and none of the stall doors would stay closed, even if they were locked. The framing was extremely wobbly. I tried about 4 of them before I found one that would stay closed. But then, while I was using the toilet, someone else touched the framing somewhere else and my door swung open. How can there be so little regard for the maintenance that it's allowed to get this bad? I've never seen a public bathroom, this bad! Also, the sinks are very stupidly designed. The counters are gigantic, the soap dispensers are on the wall, which is so far back that I could barely reach the one I was trying to use. Someone needs to get their head out of their asshole and figure out some better designs. read more

Good food court, but this place sure isn't what it used to be. When I was younger, my dad would take our family to all the outlet malls such as Shoppers World and Dixie Outlet mall. I don't remember much from those days, but I believe Shoppers World was quite the hot spot for deals way back when and while Dixie Outlet hasn't exactly improved, it hasn't gotten worse. I think Shoppers World has gotten worse. I didn't see many brand name stores here besides International Clothiers, which is practically in all outlet malls/areas. Also, I think they need to renovate the look because it just looks old and run down and a giant flea market. Sure, they used to look this way before, but I still felt it was cleaner back then. read more

lived near this mall for about 7 years altogether out of 20 years in Brampton. having seen this mall in the 90's and evolve to present day, its amazing to see the transition. this mall is just above average, the most recent update still looks very good, but we are used to more newer aesthetics when it comes to shopping experiences, plus BCC puts most malls to shame now a days, Canadian tire is a nice attachment to the mall, oceans grocery store is absolutely stellar for the fruits and produce that they have! this mall is super clean, has lots of parking, and has a newly built transit hub on the south east corner of the lot! read more

Shoppers World has seen better days as far as its physical presence. It is dated. We are used to a different aesthetic these days, and I think that hurts people's perception of it. It is a bit dim, a bit dingy, a bit run-down. It doesn't have the higher-end stores that Bramalea City Centre does, for example. The food court has plenty in it, but it really is kind of cramped and ugly. That said, Shoppers World houses powerhouse local business Stadium Comics and it has my favourite area Target store, too. Given its status as a lower-end mall, I also like how I seem to find more bargains at stores in this mall than in those same stores' Square One or BCC counterparts. The mall has made a few improvements, with a small extension housing a few new storefronts and Spoonful buffet. Hopefully they will continue to do upgrades here and there and make things shine a little more; but, it is still a reasonable shopping experience and it's quite close to home. I end up there more than any other area mall. read more

It's been said before, but Shoppers World really is a sad old monolith that lies at the crossroads between Mississauga and Brampton. I visited a couple months back as a stopover to a destination in the latter, and was taken aback by how shoddy and half-hearted the whole mall felt. It pains me to say that, because this was one of the regular destinations I went to in my youth with my family. I still remember those experiences vividly - the drive up, having lunch at the Pizza Hut near the south entrance (which was taken out years ago and replaced with Oceans Food Market, which is admittedly a great chain) or Arby's across from the Dalmy's location, going to Biway, usually ending with a visit to K-Mart. It was a different time then, and the mall in its current condition evokes some of those memories, though not in a good way. Not only does the mall feel like it's wasting a colossal amount of prime retail space, but several of the stores that have heldover from the period when I went (like the card store near Oceans) haven't changed their decor at all. The whole mall feels like a relic from a bygone era - with the exception of the renovated food court (which seems to attract people stopping over between transit stops), the place feels hollow and empty. The movement of the transit station to the corner of Steeles and Hurontario/Main probably had a lot to do with it, as one side of the mall is virtually barren. The various mom-and-pop stores hawk cheaply-made flea market holdovers, there's absolutely no foot traffic in some sections, and some retail sites (like the aforementioned Biway) have never been leased again, leaving a stairway to nowhere in its wake. It may have the potential to be good again someday like Square One, but it seems like nobody has a clue what to do with the place. It exists in a permanent bubble where modern shoppers can't appreciate the heritage and former glory of the site, and older shoppers see it as a place to rest and little more. As it stands, I see no reason for anyone to visit it in its current condition. Even if you want to visit the chain stores like Winners or Canadian Tire, there are plenty of other malls around that won't make you feel uneasy and/or saddened at their current state. EDIT (October 2015): Rebranding your page so that this is listed on the site as a "Medical Centre" isn't going to do you any favors. read more

Sad, but friendly mall. HUGE footprint and there's a mix of ma 'n pa places + newer chain stores like Winners, Target, Urban Planet, Aldo Outlet, Oceans, etc. I went there to check out their Fabricland and it is equally HUGE. I think it's listed as a "Home Dec Centre", so it's great for upholstery, pillows, drapery, etc. Aside from the anchor stores, I am not sure why anyone would take a special trip here. read more

Not worth your time. Old mall with cheap merchandise. Lots of parking because there is no one there. Only place worth your while is Winners and Amazing Chai tea shop. The mall is pretty sad from management right down to the sappy cleaning staff. Save your time and money and head down to square one. read more

With a name like 'Shoppers World,' I certainly had expected more. To me it seems like the mall consists of a bunch of hallways. There are a few stores that were worth the travel. Urban Planet, Aldo Outlet, Ardene, and Sirens to name a few. The nail place was a tad disappointing. read more

Talk about outdated and I see more vacancies every time I go. The people who are tenants in that mall, look depressed and trying hard to make money from anyone who enters their store. Unfortunately there was nothing there I really liked, except for Oceans. Inside that grocery store, it's dirty and lacks cleanliness and organization. They have decorations of Christmas, Easter, and other things all over the store...Christmas was almost 6 months ago...perhaps they are ahead of schedule? The only renovated parts of the mall is where the Bay use to be. There are a few stores, which you have to enter from the outside of the centre, except for Winners. Where Winners use to be is now Trios College. So, they have a college, Lawyers office, retail stores, a few big box stores, ceilings from the 70s and entry ways everywhere, and the worse looking floor ever! Apparently it has been renovated, but I was there when it happened. The tiles...they were better off how it use to look. The old food court you can see where it use to be. The tile is still there. The old walls of Simpsons are still there too...it's terrible, depressing and beyond repair. On a rainy day, there are 5 gallon pails everywhere, to collect the water from the leaky roof. Great for customers to see when they are browsing the stores. It can be so much nicer. There is a college close by, Sheridan College where I went. The college students don't go here. The RioCan corp people don't see this? Get a hold of me. I will be happy to walk through the mall with you and provide you with plans on what to do and we'll work out an amazing overhaul plan and get Shoppers World back as a primary....actually "THE" primary destination for everyone. Today is December 20' 2012 I had my first and last appointment with Dr. Fatima at Shoppers World Medical Centre & Walk-In Clinic. Supposedly it says she's accepting new patients but she told me she didn`t want to be my doctor cause it would be too much work. She also told me her only patients are family and friends which wasn`t surprizing, cause in my estimation she is lazy I guess she doesn't know becoming a doctor meant she would have to do work. Why would you become a doctor if you did not want to work? Watch out my friends do not make the same mistake I did. In my opinion, Dr. Fatima at Shoppers World Medical Centre & Walk-In Clinic is a waste of your time she is lazy and only wants patients that do not take a lot of work, so if she is your doctor you had better not get sick she might drop you as a patient. read more
