Helpful service and a fabulous selection of products all with prices marked. It was even a computer to check the price. They had a tremendous selection of UVA & UVB Laroche Posay sunscreen that I can't get back home in the states for about half the price. The shop is around the corner from the core mall. read more

For almost 20 years that I live in Calgary, I always shop here but today, I had a bad experience. The security guard was following me even after I used the self check out machine. The security guard even asked me, "Isn't it you have two?" referring to the the concealer amounting less than $10. I told him I returned the other one and he was even there with me in the cosmetic section. I've asked him if he want to check the cctv but then he said, "It's okay." I felt so humiliated and decided to returned back the items that I've bought. read more

DO NOT SHOP HERE. 2/18/25 I am visiting and was trying to see if they had a specific retinol cream. I was just browsing the beauty section, I turn to go into the next aisle I'm cornered by an employee who tells me to "give it back" I'm so confused with what I'm supposed to give back. The employee "Ames" (short pixie cut with purple hair) then accuses me of stealing. And that she saw me put something in my shirt. At this point everyone is STARING at me. I told her I didn't steal anything and I don't need to steal. SHE MAKES ME PROVE IT TO HER. I take off my super puff and shake it before putting it on the ground, I then take off my headband and put it on the ground, I then take off my sweatshirt and shake it and put it on the ground, and the only thing I have left on is my long sleeve shirt that she makes me shake the collar of. I HAVE TO SAY THIS IS PROBABLY THE MOST EMBARRASSING THING IVE EVER BEEN PUT THROUGH. I don't appreciate being accused of stealing. At the end of the ordeal the employee just says 'ok' then walks away. IF YOU'RE GOING TO ACCUSE SOMEONE OF STEALING, AND MAKE THEM TAKE OFF ALL THEIR CLOTHES IN FRONT OF EVERYONE BE SURE THEY'RE ACTUALLY STEALING. I make well over six figures and I have never needed to steal anything in my life especially a $40 cream. Even the security guard who was in the store and witnessed the whole thing apologized to me and said he was so sorry that I had to go through that. HORRIBLE way to represent your company. How is this acceptable to a potential customer ? Making them strip down ? Was embarrassing me worth it? This is definitely the worst shopping experience of my life. And ruined my day, and I definitely cried after this. I will never shop here and you better believe I will tell everyone to avoid this store like the plague. read more

I spray the TESTER BOTTLE to my hand to test the smell of the bottle after few minutes a man with headset came and approached me and said,; you should not be testing the bottle and I answer back ...I used your tester bottle ... ahh he says your not in trouble. I feel that if you are not a person of white skin, your always the focus of camera. So sad on how people behave in this diverse country. read more

Shoppers is definitely very convenient. Its located downtown. So came here after work and picked up a few things. I am surprise its so busy in here. They have milk, butter, bread, pharmacy stuff etc. Just what you expect at a drugstore. I don't find their stuff cheap though. They do have deals every week. This isn't my favourite Shopper's Drug Mart ever, but it does the trick. While it's smaller than most, when I'm busy it's easier to stop here during my work breaks than try to head to a Shopper's closer to home after work. The lines can be extraordinarily long, so much so sometimes I abandon my shopping trip and try to come back another time. But the employees are always friendly and helpful. Extremely slow and inefficient service at checkout. Chronically understaffed during busy times. Even when not busy you can bet on a 15 minute wait in line. I found the pharmacy staff to be rude, unprofessional and not willing to help. They shorted me on the number of pills required for my prescription and when I returned they refused to admit the error resulting in me having to pay for additional drug. The store is overcrowded with narrow isles making shopping unpleasant. The store itself is chronically understaffed resulting in long lineups. The only thing going for this drug store is the convenient location. read more

The Pharmacy at this Shopper's Drug Mart is one of the worst I've ever been to. The lady takes your prescription and tells you to come back in 1/2 hour. I come back in 25 mins and ask if my order is ready and the pharmacist and the assistant at the back make me wait for another 10 more minutes 'cos the order is not ready. I can see her mouthing the words at the back that she had told me to come back in 30 mins. Yes, I know it's only been 25 mins but really should any pharmacy take 30 mins to fill a prescription. If the pharmacy and staff would stop yapping so much, they would get their work done. Please don't use this pharmacy if you can. Terrible customer service. I would use Rexall or IDA Pharmacy if I have to. read more

If you can fight through the construction, the new location of Shopper's Drug Mart in TD Square is well worth a visit. It is huge, unlike the tiny second floor location it once inhabited. They now have a huge beauty section filled with lovely brands like Lancome and Boots and tons of fragrances as well. They have expanded their health offerings, now offering back supports and special cushions in addition to basics like shoe insoles, birth control and OTC drugs. They also have a great selection of seasonal items, which means a ton of seasonal candies and red and green floating around right now. I love the fresh white lighting, high ceilings and the vague feeling of minamalism. The Shoppers Optimum card definitely improved my loyalty, and I've found that if you aren't picky and follow the deal you can get some great savings. That being said, I have never found it difficult to drop a ton of money on makeup, toiletries and haircare (I am picky), which is why I have earned several hundred dollars in Shoppers Optimum points. Shopper's Drug Mart is a Shopper's Drug Mart. If you've been to one, you've been to all. However, this location was recently updated and moved from its previous location (somewhere on the higher levels of TD) to the main level, right by the HMV and Black's Photography. They have a nice separate area where they sell all their perfume and high end cosmetics. Which is nice to have since sometimes the smells from the perfumes being tested can be overwhelming. Aisle were tidy (on none stock days) and well stocked, as I rarely saw empty shelves. They usually have good deals going on (I bought a box of hair dye for $8 which was regular $12) but most of the time I find their prices just a bit too high compared to other stores that sell the same products. My only problem, was they didnt have the product I was looking for. They had the brand and other similar products, but not the exact one I was looking for. I sadly walked out the store with only a box of hair dye and I am stuck buying said product at Walmart only. Overall its a good place if you need something quick during the work day and cant wait till the end of the day when you can go to where you really wanna go. read more

It is a convenient Shopper's. It is connected to the 3rd street C-Train station, so that is good. I can think of countless times where it has come in handy for everything from birthday cards to hair gel. It is also a good place to get snacks like nuts, candy, mints, etc. Sometimes you are lucky and there are sales on all these items. There are some major drawbacks. It seems like the lines are overly busy every time I visit. There is always the thought of is this purchase worth lining up over. Also, I wish it was open later. Location wise this is very convenient. However the lines are often ridiculously long and like other reviewers, I have walked away without making a purchase because of this. Tip: Lines at the cashes at the back of the store are marginally shorter. I find this store to otherwise be okay. They have the usual stuff at the usual prices. Certain aisles can get a bit too busy at peak times, especially when the long cash lines start to go down them (GAH!!) . If you avoid the 11-1:30 period during the week, you might save yourself a lot of time and stress. If you don't REALLY need something, check out a different Shoppers and save your sanity. read more

This location is the worst Shoppers I have ever been too. The customer service is a joke, slow, long lines and the staff rarely smile. Another thing of note is that when Shoppers posted a sale in their flyer, this store is known for not having the item on sale. I went there today to buy allergy medication while on my lunch break and the lineup at the front and the back of the store was about 20 deep. I took my two packages of Aerius to the pharmacy counter (every other SDM I have gone to allows you to pay for OTC Medications at the pharmacy. The rude person at the cash refused to check me in and told me it was prescriptions only. There was no line up, there was nobody waiting for prescriptions. I KNOW they have the ability to check in these items. I am so very disappointed in this SDM now that I know I won't shop there again. I have put up with the rude tellers there before and the long lines but to refuse to sell something to a customer ... Note that I was only buying medications... two packages at that... is so totally unacceptable. Never again... I'll go to Walmart before I shop here again read more

Came in today to buy a product. There were sale tags everywhere, so I picked up the item, stood in line, and the cashier tells me the item isn't on sale. They call up this extremely incompetent sales merchandising woman, she comes back with the tag that says the item is on sale. The cashier gets confused and realizes that she gave the wrong item to the merchandiser to check, so she goes back. Meanwhile I'm standing there and 7 people already got rung through... I come up to the merchandiser and she claims the item isn't on sale. I inform her that there is no tag, and that I have been waiting and 7 people have already passed me. She raises her voice to let me know that there is no tag, and they get ripped off all the time, the item isn't on sale, and asks rudely "do you want this or not?". I was so frustrated, I left all my items and left the store, and called the manager..... unreal. How dare you speak to a customer like that. Never will I ever shop at this Shoppers again. read more
