The store also has a weekly sales flyer and several "store brand" products. It has a butcher shop, deli, bakery, and a few check-out aisles staffed by real people. I did not see self-checkout lanes or any "Games of Skill," unless you count the claw machine which was filled with plush toys. There's a physical community bulletin board in the lobby, and plenty of parking in the lot outside. The store was clean, and the employees were polite.

You can also go upstairs to eat and it wasn't crowded with lots of tables.

I've been shopping at the Pittsburgh Asian Market for years and couldn't believe that their…read morebusiness wasn't on YELP. I'm always impressed with their selection of inexpensive and authentic foods. The store is well organized (ethnicities by aisle) and the owners are very helpful and friendly. The store itself has a bit of a warehouse-feel to it, and more often than not, there are only one or two other shoppers in the store. Their strong point is with their selection of sauces, dried goods, and canned goods. They also carry quite a bit of African specialties. The produce section though, is pretty small and they don't carry a lot of fresh foods (like noodles, tofu, etc.). If you want to avoid the crowds in the Strip, this is the place to go for basic Asian, African and Middle Eastern cooking needs.

As far as local groceries go, this is a nice, well-kept no-frills alternative to supermarkets and convenience stores. People's Food Mart has fresh produce, a deli counter (they make sandwiches to order), household products, and pretty much anything else you might need in a pinch. This isn't a McGinnis Sister's store (it's nothing special), but it is a new option for those living in Dormont, Beechview, or Brookline, especially considering that they're open 7 days a week, from early in the morning until mid-evening. P.S. People's Food Mart delivers groceries! Who does that anymore? I don't know what their range is, but I imagine it's limited. P.P.S. They claim to have a Facebook page, but I was unable to locate it. P.P.P.S. They purchase used cell phones.
