We were lucky enough to find a metered street spot directly in front of the restaurant and did not have to wait long at all for our Saturday morning brunch for a table of two. Our server was also very polite and everything that we ordered came out very fast. I started off with the Iced Maple Latte and thought it was really nice. It was a really sweet treat and I enjoyed it. For my breakfast, I chose the Eggs Benedict with the Sujuk sausage and added avocado and croissant. It was one of the best combos I've had in a long time and I am already eager to go back again to get it. I would highly recommend to everyone and would happily say this is one of my favorite breakfast options around.

We agreed to outside patio seating at tall seats which is more than fine. but we were sat at a shared table with a family which is fine when you have context that you are doing so, but i spent the beginning of the morning listening to two different children play of their phones blasting the sound. additionally both the seats we were in were directly in the sun which for me is fine but my bf burns very easily. but okay fine, it is what it is. We politely waited until the table next to us emptied, and then told the waitress we would like to move because the sun. She said we would need to wait and she would need to check. And then came back and told us they were too busy. We watched the seat we wanted to sit in be empty until we asked for boxes for our food. We watched another table stay empty until we left. The waitress never introduced herself either. Additionally, no one checked up on us during the entire meal. Usually any sit down restaurant would ask how your meal is. No one did. we weren't even given silverware when our meals arrived. we had to go get them ourselves. We had to ask for boxes after sitting and waiting for anyone to check in. We separately had to call out to the oblivious waitress to even pay, as she was standing out there just looking around. The food was great, like i wish we would have had cash to tip the cooks themselves bc the food was really good. But Ive attached photos of the food (great!) and photos of the many empty tables that made them sooo busy they cldnt accommodate the paying costumers that already ordered. my boyfriend and I have both worked in the service industry before. But i would just say that they had horrible service which can ruin a perfectly good meal. I hope if the owner is the one I met at the door, he considers getting new waitresses .

I used to go to the location on Montana back in the day, and this is my first time visiting their downtown SM location! Food, as I remember, was very delicious with great variety and care put in for each dish! The waiter was also extremely accommodating of my many allergies and would often ask the kitchen if the items I ordered were free from my allergens or modified it too! I do miss their cafe menu with the sandwiches and soup specials, but all of their food is just as great quality as I remember! The renovation is beautiful too, very trendy!

TLDR: Price to Quality, there are better options in Santa Monica…read more I ordered the Korean fried chicken bites, chorizo Benedict, and some coffee Coffee was okay but not great. A little on the watery side. Chicken bites came out in about 15 minutes. The coating had a very satisfying crunch, very saucy, but fell off the chicken easily and was a bit salty. This is a messy dish for sure. You will get your hands dirty! Chorizo Benedict came out about 30 minutes after order. Not great honestly. Portion size was generous. The eggs were poached decently, still runny, but the chorizo itself was bland and rather dry. The potatoes were room temperature. The bread a bit too chewy. Not AT ALL spicy. Super light on the pico de gallo. The service was rather slow for not being very busy. They didn't appear to be understaffed either. The location itself is cozy and not too loud, which is nice! Short walk from down town. The staff was kind, but boy were they slow. From being seated to paying for my meal was well over an hour! Automatic 2.5% "service fee" total was $46.50 before tip. I don't think I'll be returning unfortunately. The search for a good Benedict in LA area continues!

Sitting on the outdoor patio gives you an interrupted view of the pool; sitting in the covered patio makes you feel like you're in a plant-filled bistro, and sitting by the bar allows for more sociability. They have the best Spritz in town, though I swap aperol with elderflower. A good caesar salad is a marker of a quality restaurant and theirs is my absolute favorite. The lettuce is fresh, portion is big, and they shave the breadcrumbs so you're not gnawing on a giant crouton. The scallops are one of the best things on the menu, as they come in a flavorful sauce and beautiful presentation. The agnolotti is the best pasta -- it's handmade, smells divine, and achieves the perfect caviar-cream-Parmesan bite. The service is attentive and helpful, offering the best menu recs and ensuring we order everything we want within the discounted hour. You can't beat the poolside California indoor-outdoor living, and the ambience is off the charts.

Peach cobbler was delish with the ice cream. I cannot wait to come back for thier happy hour again!! Service was a bit slow due to staff being short but their manager and Jose kept checking up on us! Why is Jose not a waiter! Give this guy a promotion! He should be helping to wait tables. He was so attentive with us and refilling our drinks. He deserves a raise. We never saw our waiter the whole time until the end! Jose saved his life. Breakfast was amazing a big portions! I got the chilaquiles! It was heavily packed with protein of eggs and chicken. Flavors were spot on! My husband loved his smoked salmon egg Benedict's. Ambiance is classy. I love the aesthetics and vibes here. Great indoor and outdoor areas! Dress appropriately for dinner but people still come in with shorts.

Very disappointing experience. We ordered a Mediterranean…read moresalad and a Caesar wrap, and surprisingly, both tasted almost identical. Both had the same Parmesan cheese and similar dressings that were extremely salty. The croutons were dry and stale-tasting, and the chicken we added to both dishes was incredibly dry and tasted anything but fresh. What makes this even more disappointing is that this place used to have the charm and quality of a good French-Mediterranean café. You would expect fresh ingredients, great bread, quality pastries, and thoughtfully prepared food. Unfortunately, it seems that as they've expanded, the quality has gone in the opposite direction. Nothing about the food tasted fresh, healthy, or made with quality ingredients. The excessive salt, dry chicken, and stale-tasting croutons made both dishes feel more like cheap, mass-produced food than something prepared at a proper café. There was no sense of freshness or attention to quality whatsoever. Everything tasted like it had been prepared well in advance rather than made with care. Honestly, you could pick up a prepackaged Caesar sandwich from Ralphs supermarket, and it would probably taste better. That's how bad the food was. And that's a pretty embarrassing comparison for a café that presents itself as a French-Mediterranean establishment. A French-Mediterranean café should be about freshness, quality, and flavor. Sadly, this place delivered none of those. I wouldn't recommend coming here for food. Very disappointing to see a once-good café lose what made it special.
