When I turned,…read moreI caught the manager just standing there, glowering at me with cold, eagle-like eyes -- silent, not saying a single word, but making the whole moment feel intimidating and hostile. When he finally scanned my first item, he asked in a low, menacing tone if that was the only code. I replied politely, 'Oh, I have two more items.' All of a sudden, he shouted, 'IS THIS THE CODE FOR THIS ITEM?!' so loudly that everyone heard -- the woman in front of me, the people behind me, even the UPS carrier picking up boxes. He ignored me when I tried to confirm, roughly scanned the rest, slammed the label onto the package, then turned away. Right after shouting at me, he became soft-spoken and smiling with the woman in front of me, leaning in to carefully check her code -- the complete opposite of how he had treated me. Even when I said 'thank you,' he deliberately ignored. What struck me most was his split personality -- hostile, aggressive, and humiliating toward me, then seconds later soft, smiling, and patient with another customer. Believe me, when someone shows this insidious side so openly, it isn't just a bad day. Over time, that kind of toxic behavior affects everyone around them.

I know everybody doesn't love dogs (fear, disinterest, allergies), but it is SO MUCH EASIER to run…read moreerrands when you can walk your dog simultaneously and scratch something off your to-do list. I've come here on my own when I didn't want to awkwardly ask, "Can she come in too?" But there was one time maybe a year ago where I was already walking her and needed to drop off a package. I forgot what it was. I waited outside until all the customers left and poked my head in. The workers waved me in, let me go to the kiosk, and I was in and out within minutes. I tried again this weekend, fully still expecting for someone to turn me around. Nope! Not only were the two guys inside immediately interested in my dog, but one of them pulled out a bag of treats and asked if they were "too big" or could he give my dog one. I was pleasantly surprised. She can be a barker if she doesn't like someone (or just walk backward suspiciously), but she was totally quiet besides putting two paws on the counter to spy on the employees. My dog demolished that treat so fast that I don't even think she bothered chewing it. I didn't catch either guy's name, but he was about average height with a short cut. Super nice. I REALLY appreciate that they were so nice to my four-legged, unemployed BFF. I feel like I'm going to have a tough time with her thinking we should go to the UPS Store every time we walk by now. Her memory is long. Thanks to the team.
