With the big sound of its brass section to the mesmerizing vocals of its singers, this band had all our guests dancing all night! Besides its unrivalled raw musical talent, Soul City Shakedown has something that all the other wedding bands we saw lacked...Passion! This passion is what elevated the music and the experience our guest had to the next level. In fact, it was readily apparent to our guests that the band was having just as much fun as they were!! Not only did the elite members of Soul City Shakedown have passion for the music and the performance, they also had passion for their clients. This wasn't just another paid wedding gig for the band; from the start Jon Ardito, the band's manager and drummer, showed us that he cared about us and our experience by providing first rate customer service. He was extremely responsive, flexible, and always put my fiancée and I first. Jon made it his mission to go the extra mile to ensure each and every detail of our reception was perfect. For example, the band learned several new songs to ensure we heard all our favorite tunes at our reception. We wholeheartedly recommend Soul City Shakedown to any couple looking for an accommodating, passionate, and highly talented band that will certainly deliver an unforgettable reception. In fact, my brother (a professional musician) and his fiancee have already booked Soul City Shakedown for their wedding in September!

Booked them for my wedding and they have no integrity. I booked a package exclusively for my venue…read morethat they created with their advertisement. They did not honor their advertisement and what I paid for but in fact changed the package without my permission or knowledge. I added sparklers to my package and they removed a service without my permission and put the sparklers in for the first dance. They removed the main thing I wanted which was dancing on a cloud. I was offered $100 for the "misunderstanding" which I did not take because I will never get that night back, that moment, or the pictures missed. They claimed it wasn't in my contract but when I looked on DocuSign the day after I signed and submitted changes were made to the document. Now they are currently fighting to get my review off of the knot. I also spent hours on a playlist and he played what he wanted to play.

Tom O'Neill from the catering business in his name was running the show. I opted for the Cheeseburger Special off the chalkboard menu. I enjoyed our chat while waiting for my order to be ready. He has been in the food biz a lifetime. Got home and devoured the beef puck - medium finish, onion, lettuce, pickle w combo of fries and onion rings on the side. It was a belly full. From a read of the reviews, weddings are a specialty for this crew.

As the wedding coordinator, Tom was great to partner with throughout the planning and leading up to the big day. Anything the Bride suggested, Tom's response was always "whatever you want," and boy, did he mean it! On the day of the big event, he made sure my bride & groom had a dedicated staff member attending to their every need while they were off getting photos, and the guests enjoyed the cocktail hour. From drinks to food, the entire bridal party was catered to and never felt as if they were missing out. Throughout the day, anytime Tom's staff passed by me, every single one asked if I needed anything and where they could help. Along with their excellent attention to detail, the food was amazing! Every guest I spoke to said they were blown away by the selection and taste. There wasn't anything they would have done differently. The Bride & Groom, along with their parents and myself, are still receiving positive feedback, 2 weeks after the wedding. I would give O'Neill's Catering 10 stars if it were an option.

He also has some fun little games (i.e. His Bag of Tricks) that get all of the guests to interact. They were professional, kind, understanding, energetic, and totally understood what was needed for the wedding. I would recommend them to my own family. Do yourself a favor and at least meet with them so you can see what I mean. They'll win you over, and they are consummate professionals. I hope you are lucky enough to enjoy their services.
