Where do we begin…read more.. We could not have asked for anything more on our special day! We are from Australia and were planning a wedding in NYC which is not an easy thing to do from the other side of the world. Rebell entertainment made the whole process and experience easy, drama free and FUN! It didn't matter what time of the day it was Damion would respond almost immediately even tho we are in complete different time zones. He went above and beyond even to the extent of helping out our other musicians on the night and doing so much more to help out with the whole night that not just any standard DJ would do. He really listened to us with the type of music we wanted at our wedding and played every specific song we had requested on our list. Our guests had the time of their lives on the dance floor and are still going on about how much fun it was. Damion even came the the venue early in the day, to set up equipment for us to use during the ceremony/before the reception as our venue was a blank canvas and therefore didn't come with any equipment. He even brought his own camera and took photos and video clips where he then put a short professional video together of our wedding and sent it to us one day after the wedding. We absolutely LOVED this. It always takes so long to get the photos and footage from the photographers and it was so nice to have something like that to watch straight after the wedding. We highly recommend Rebell Entertainment (Damion especially) to anyone and everyone. He caters to all your needs, has quality equipment, goes above and beyond, professional and has amazing energy! Rebell Entertainment will make your night! If we do another event in NYC we will most definitely be booking them again! Thank you so much for everything you did for us Damion!

He responds back fast and is very professional. I've done my research of DJs, and Rebell Entertainment gives you a top of the line rate! He suggests what will go well with your budget and the plan you envision for your big day, and works with you to come up with a package suited for you. For my big day it's important for me to work with someone who is personable, experienced and reliable; and so far it has been nothing but those. Looking forward to meeting him in person, as well as playing at the multiple celebrations for my wedding. More to come after the wedding! :)

We hired DJ Dre for our wedding in January and loved working with her! She is upbeat, kind, and fun. Our family and guests had nothing but good things to say about her. Our wedding was a culturally mixed affair, with a wide variety of music tastes and preferences. Dre did a great job incorporating all of them into the mix, bringing everyone out to the dance floor. She was receptive and took time prior to the wedding date to get to know us, our vision, and showed up prepared and invested for our meetings and the day of the wedding. She took our creative ideas and ran with them, putting together an incredibly fun script to introduce a game we made up for our guests to play at our reception. Her enthusiasm took it to the next level and had all our guests engaged and creating lasting memories. Thank you DJ Dre and Beat Train for being a beautiful part of our big day!

This was my…read moredaughter's Sweet 16 -- a once-in-a-lifetime event that we spent so much time, money, and effort planning -- and the most important parts of the night were not properly captured. Those memories are gone forever, and that is something I am having a very hard time accepting. I specifically booked your company for the hours that I did because I wanted the beginning of the night documented. I wanted family photos taken before the event started, the details captured, and the cocktail hour photographed and filmed. Instead, the entrance was delayed, everything became rushed and disorganized, and the moments that mattered most to me were missed completely. What makes this even more upsetting is that I truly did not care about the end of the night being covered. Your photographer and videographer clearly saw guests leaving around 10 PM and the room emptying out, yet the beginning of the event -- the part I specifically paid to have documented -- was neglected. I did not need footage of an empty ballroom. I needed the beginning of my daughter's special night captured properly. That is just part of the email that I sent. But long story short if you want your photographed properly I absolutely would not hire this and that's coming from my own personal experience because they thought it was acceptable to show up one hour late rather than 20 minutes early to my We literally waited for them to arrive so we can have our entrance to the ballroom so disgusting and shameful

I got married two years ago and chose Magic Mike as my DJ. I didn't see the point of experimenting with new DJs- there's a reason he's been in the industry for so long: 1. He is able to feel the pulse of the crowd 2. He is extremely genuine and warm So many people asked for his number after the wedding. I'd be shocked if he's not booked till 2020!

Beware! Out of over 500 reviews, I've only given a handful of poor reviews. I gave all the vendors…read moreat my wedding 5 stars except for Mike. As Mike has been in the business for 20 years and the glowing reviews on Yelp, WeddingWire, and the Knot, I made the mistake of booking him. Mike loves to march to his own beat and is extremely disorganized, ill-prepared, lazy, inattentive to details, unprofessional, outdated, lackadaisical, and quite frankly a bozo. While I was impressed by all of the vendors at my wedding, I was seething and cringing by Mike's countless mistakes. As other Yelpers have noted, Mike is highly skilled at mixing beats for Hindu/American fusion weddings and getting everyone to hit the dance floor. However, Mike caters to the crowd rather than to the bride and groom. There's "no magic", here are Mike's top 8 blunders which I confronted him at the end of my wedding night: #1: Using an old schedule that was 2 months old! After 3 phone calls with Mike and sending him a few revised schedules based on feedback that he provided, he used the 1st schedule that I sent him with wrong bridal party names, songs, and times! He neglected all of the changes that we discussed on the phone and failed to use the new schedule that I sent a week before the wedding like he requested. When 5 names are mentioned, but only 2 women and a man walk out to "Sister Sledge" playing, that's a blunder! #2: Missing Cues/Repeated stepping of glasses. My fiancee and I are highly private people and don't enjoy long kissing sessions in front of our parents and friends. We actually took out all kissing pics from our slideshow. During the reception, after a big frown and shaking of the head after the 1st stemming of glasses, Mike initiated and continued to round up the crowd for additional stemming of glasses. It got so bad that some of the bridal party members broke some of the glasses in retailation. The stemming of the glasses is a topic that I also wish Mike discussed with us before the wedding so we could have easily prevented this embarrassing mishap. #3 Announcing the grooms name first and then the bride's name. A big no-no! "Peter and Aarti Pruitt". Mike believes in men first, even at weddings. #4 Playing songs on the "Do NOT play list". I hate "Gangnam Style" with a passion and it was among the 20 don't play list. Not only did Mike happily play the song, but he refused to change the song when I asked him to! That wasn't the only one... #5 Begging for a Big Tip. Mike isn't shy about charging top dollar $3K and the audacity to ask my father for a big tip before the event! The bozo loves to overpromise and underdeliver. My dad was way too nice to tip him $200. As a firm believer of tips, I honestly would NOT tip him. #6: Trying to Upsell at the WRONG time. Mike and I had a couple of minutes before the reception started. Rather than using this crucial time to discuss making any last-minute changes to the schedule (ex. moving things up as we wanted to skip sunset pics due to the weather), instead Mike kept trying to repeatedly sell us on the dhol guy. I hate BHANGRA, why would I pay extra for it? #7 Forgetting to play the cake cutting song. I was looking forward to hearing my favorite Baby Love during the cake cutting, too bad I never got the chance to hear it! #8 Not taking full ownership. After confronting Mike about all of the blunders listed above, he kept deflecting and making excuses. Despite repeated emails and phone calls before the wedding, Mike was very ill-prepared and was "winging" it at the wedding with sheepish grins. While I appreciate Mike's apology for his mistakes in a follow-up email that he sent, he doesn't take away from the painful memories that I experienced due to his careless mistakes. He single-handedly ruined the reception. Not once did Mike make it about the bride and the groom, it was more of Mike's day and pleasing the crowd. If you want to make your day special, I recommend tuning him out and enjoying the beat of someone else.
