We needed a little flap of leather added to my son's baseball glove, and after researching online baseball forums, everyone said that any reputable shoe/leather repair place would be able to do it. My husband sent off a message to Contino's along with photos of what we needed, but we never received a response. We took a chance and drove to the shop with the glove and photographs. We were greeted by a pleasant woman and we explained what we wanted. Without even standing up or looking at the glove, the man beside her said, "Oh yeah....I don't deal with those." I looked surprised and he continued with, "I'd have to deconstruct the entire glove and it's too much work." And that was it. I understand that he didn't want to take on the job, but I found his response to be very short and cold, considering that our family made a special trip there because of the lack of response to our initial inquiry.
