I had a fantastic experience working with Thane on a big tailoring order a few weeks ago…read more I had 7 or so suits that needed various levels of adjustments, mostly simple stuff like shortening sleeves, hemming pants, and taking in the width on a few blazers. However, I also had one blazer that I purchased at an online tailor company that came out very wonky in the shoulders. Thane was able to perform surgery on it and perfectly fix the issues. He got everything done on a tight timeframe too, and put in extra work to get it all exact. Beyond that, he was a pleasure to chat with and very professional. The whole project came to a little over $1000, which I think was reasonable given the quantity and quality of work done. I especially don't think anyone else could have fixed the shoulders on that one blazer, so it effectively saved me the value of losing out on an entire suit jacket.

The owner is very personable and the prices are fair. Sneakers are unique and for any women not sure of size, the owner lets you know the women's size since all sneakers are sized for men. That makes no difference since most sneakers are unisex! We will be back during Xmas time! One love!

The other location in Lansing has a bit of the same but it's mainly geared towards personal items like clothing, books, collectibles, etc

My mother was verbally assaulted by an employee today. She went to the wrong parking lot when…read moretrying to donate, she was confused by the cones and signage so she thought she'd just park and walk over with the box. Before she even got the box out of the car an older white man, red faced, screamed at the top of his lungs "you can wait in line like everybody else". She got back in the car because she was so scared by him. She reparked and went inside to tell the manager because it was so upsetting. The mam followed her inside and stood next to her leaned forward and intimidating while she politely explained what happened to the manager. Then she left without donating. She came home shaking and crying. I'm furious that this happened and want the employee fired. He was a 65ish white male, blue shirt, blue shorts, working at the donations. This man is out of hand and needs to be addressed.

My mom surprised me with a visit here as an early birthday present. I had no idea what to expect…read morebut this was one of the best experiences I've ever had. I've never made my own perfume so I was so excited to get started. Victor greeted us and gave us a tour of the store. He started with telling us all about the history of perfume making and also gave us a pamphlet with all kinds of information about how to pair scents and different vocabulary to use when describing them. There are 15 different scents that we started off smelling to see what we liked and then we narrowed them down to a few that were our favorites and a few that would blend well together. The coolest part was getting to add different things to add to our base scents like vanilla, amber, musk, and tobacco (just to name a few). Once we decided on the combination that worked best for us we got to pour in our base scents and Victor explained the math behind bringing everything together. I really appreciated how detailed the entire process was. He also left a little space in the perfume bottles so we could test the scent he made on our skin to see if it needed to be edited any further by adding any scent that might have been over powered by another to find that perfect balance. He gave suggestions and was so helpful with everything. We could tell he is very passionate about creating different perfumes and it made the experience so personal. Once everything was mixed we were able to pick a name for our perfumes to make it our own. We got beautiful labels put on our perfume bottles and nice bags to keep them in. He told us to wait a week for the perfume to blend completely and to test it again while all of the notes are at their peak. This was so much fun and I would definitely go back for another session and bring more people.
