Well I've been feeling like I haven't really been getting shoes that fit properly but also thought as I get older, foot pain and discomfort come with the territory. While walking around Holland, MI today my wife suggested that we stop by since we had nothing else to do but enjoy the downtown area. Cory met us as we entered and offered to help if he could. I had spotted a pair that I liked (color and design) and he asked my size. While he went to get them we browsed the store some. As we talked about different brands and which had the best arch support, he took me to school! I don't think I have had anyone measure my foot since my Mom took me to get shoes 40+ years ago. I've been buying the same size for decades now. Cory took several measurements and suggested that a different size might work better for me. He showed me how much things have changed since I became set in my ways. I tried on 3 different styles of tennis/ walking shoes that were nowhere on my radar. All 3 pairs felt light years better immediately. They all had a different feel about them in the way my foot seated in them, but all were extremely comfortable. Cory is trained to fit shoes correctly and I am so glad my wife suggested we stop. Yes, I bought all three pair and of course I wore a pair out. My feet felt so much better as we walked another 4 miles today Go see Cory if you need shoes, I'm glad I did Thank you

Okay this review is SO LONG OVERDUE! My apologies to the gentleman that assisted me. I even…read morepromised to do a review as this is typically my practice when I experience something worthy of talking about. Well in any case the gentleman that helped me has a large family and he used to be a pastor I think. I can't recall his name Jeff maybe. My sister told me about the Good Feet Store at a time I was certain I would need to get surgery. I saw a local podiatrist who diagnosed me with plantar fasciitis in both feet, Achilles tendons that are too tight in both feet, and small bunyons in both feet. I was in so much pain that by the end of a shift at the hospital I would be limping on both feet. I asked my podiatrist what would be the next step if his insoles didn't help me. His immediate response was "surgery." So I refused to go back until I was crawling back. As a nurse, I haven't seen many foot surgeries go well and I knew it might just take me out of the game. I was able to hide my pain for a while but then it became pretty obvious. My son had a hilarious impression of me trying to walk without putting pressure on either of my feet. As you can imagine this affected my ability to exercise and everything. I started experiencing imbalance, weakness, and more. So when my sister told me about The Good Feet store I was pretty desperate for help. She warned me it would be expensive but said they are able to take my HSA from health insurance and said even she experienced being pain free while she was in the store. She's had surgery and was disabled because of it so for her to say she had total pain relief before she even left the store? Well I was pretty much sold. So I went hobbling in after a 12 hour shift hoping for answers. I can't say I was pain free before I left but the pain was definitely less. I was told these carried lifetime warranties and if I needed adjustments at any time I would be able to get new in soles at no charge. This part made me wary. A lot of times places promise this but fail to deliver. So after about 2-3 months my pain was improved but I was still limping on both feet by the end of the day. So I went back and yes I got brand new insoles with no charge! They actually kept their word!! Fast forward it's been at least 3 years since I got my insoles and I'm pain free. I've started running again, I no longer limp on both feet, and I can even walk around barefoot if I want to. I've completely avoided surgery which would have been very costly, then adding up time off work and potential disability, this was worth EVERY PENNY!! I highly recommend spending whatever you need to to avoid going under the knife and even if you already have like my sister, it's worth it. Any reservations you have please just go on with an open mind, take their advice, use these as you're told, go back if you are still having pain, communicate with them and they will help you. I'm so glad I did. I got the full 3 step program, spent $1500, saved thousands more, and gained my life back. I'm not posting a picture of my feet or the product so instead it's picture proof of me hitting the gym again. Something I didn't think would be possible.

I was greeted when I walked in and a salesperson stopped by as I was looking around to ask if I was finding things okay. They have a pretty large selection of women's shoes as well as lots of sale shoes towards the back. You can also find accessories like socks and purses as well as knickknack type toys, etc. towards the front checkout. I was able to find the shoes I wanted fairly quickly, but they were a little limited in my size (6-6.5). I think you can have them order different sizes and get them shipped to you. They have a rewards program where you can earn points. The shoes I went with were cheaper at DSW than on Amazon. Overall I like DSW and think they have a good selection of different styles. It's nice to be able to try stuff on in person, especially shoes. Parking in this area is a bit of a nightmare as the parking lot is always crowded and it's not laid out very well.

This is a bigger DSW with a great selection for women, less so for men, and with the usual weak range of sizes on location. They must use some sort of odd formula that dates back to a thinner, shorter America raised on hard little baby shoes. They have no men's 10E at all, which is not that unusual a size. I know DSW carries this size because online I can easily find it. The brick and mortar stores are useful to come in and see the shoes, but if you have a wide, narrow, small or large size you're not going to go home with a pair of shoes from here.
