Food is always great and service is outstanding. Plus we always see friends to interact with. Just a great local restaurant.

Good service, good price. Two lunch meals and I had salad bar. Only issue was some young men with lousy language at a nearby table.

If you are looking for good food at a good price then this the place for you. Some of the friendliest people in north Mississippi.

The meat and 3 here is awesome. There are different specials each day and it's buffet style. Great homemade chicken strips.

This is a great little restaurant off the beaten path.  I have heard of it for years but last night…read morewas my first experience.  The catfish and hushpuppies were great.  Hushpuppies were a little spicy with green flecks of Jalapeno.  Salad bar was small but everything was very good.  Others in our party had steaks and all declared them excellent.  Service was first class, fast and friendly.  We will return.   Bring cash, no credit cards, probably because your cell phone will hardly work, probably no electronic credit card machines either. You'll find plenty of local color here, one of the most interesting is that this is also the site of the community's post office.  You don't get much chances to dine in your local post office.  Might be a great idea nationally if you could replicate their fried catfish. Cell phone reception is pretty poor at this location so you better check your GPS and YELP before you get there as well.  You won't find much about Chewalla, TN, on Google but it has a lot of local history.  When the railroad through nearby Corinth came through around 1857, one of the stops along the way was at Chewalla near the border of Mississippi and Tennessee.  The Chewalla Road was an established trailway which extended back into the time when all of the area was Indian Territory.  It was the path for invading and retreating armies during the Civil War and a battle was fought nearby during this time period.   Sitting right beside the railroad is Jim's Steak and Fish, about a 20 minute leisurely drive from Corinth, MS.  The most direct route coming from nearby Corinth is directly out Wenasoga Road which follows the path of the former Chewalla Road. Address shows Ramer, Tennessee, but actual location is Chewalla, an unincorporated community South of Ramer and North of Corinth, well worth the trip if you can find it.

Food is great with size-able portions for sure. Great steaks and fish is what I've had there…read more Hush puppies are great and they are given as appetizers. The salad bar is splendid. The tea like country tea cold and smooth. I must say this place is one I can remark that you get your moneys worth in food. Service is good and they do a great job at moving customers in as quickly as possible by clearing used tables. The building is relatively small therefore there may be a slight wait but I assure you it will be worth it. Do yourself a huge favor and plan a meal here. You will not be disappointed. Country people with a country attitude friendly. On scale of 10 it's a 10 for sure.

I had the fried clams with the home made Cole slaw and a sweet potato. The Cole slaw is not like a traditional coleslaw. It comes with the dressing on the side for you to dress it as you wish. That was probably my favorite part of the meal. The dressing was a sweet French dressing that reminded me of vidalia onion dressing. The fried clams were ok. The ambiance inside is dim but with a southern feel.

The baked potato and slaw were ample and tasty accompaniments. The service was fast, and multiple hosts regularly checked-in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. I really like the riverfront ambiance. The river really gives you that down-home feeling. This is my favorite catfish place. I think it is the greatest of all catfish restaurants. As a special treat, my parents used to bring me here in the 70s and 80s. There is nothing like it. This location has aged very well and the food continues to be a special treat. If you can, try to go there on a weekday as weekends are very busy.
