I decided to go back to Shirley Temple last week; I was sat at my table promptly and was looking forward to my meal in this popular restaurant. The décor inside has a great deal of charm and the staff were fairly friendly.
When my meal was served I noticed the plate was cold and chipped. The starters of BBQ spare ribs and crispy duck were very tasty and the sauce was sticky and moreish. I decided on having two starters for my main, BBQ spare ribs and Thai Chicken wings. Even though I'd devoured an entire rib cage for my starter and main I must say that the BBQ ribs are a great specialty of this restaurant. The wings were raw in the middle; I sent them back and got a new plateful. Again, these were under cooked and I was given a poor excuse as to why they were undercooked. They told me that the blood in the middle would do me no harm. I disagreed.
I have had great experiences at this restaurant in the past, but this did put me off. I should have ordered a main course, which would have been a better idea. Despite my difficulties here, I will probably come again based on past experience. I'm not going to let one bad experience put me off. read more
