31/7/19 It was an…read moreimpromptu decision to go. I wish I hadn't. The change since new management, but not new owners. Quite full (guess it was payday). Required a table for 5, but two wouldn't be eating; my daughter (17), and her friend (20). So to serve 3 people. Already order my wife and my drink at the bar (although it shows a Carling tap, it is actually served from a can). No house dry wine. At the table ordered the additional 3 drinks - 3 normal cokes, two with ice, one without. All arrived without. Order BBQ ribs as a starter for me and the wife to share, having asked the waitress, how many in a serving. She had to go away and ask the chef. For information it is 8. 3 Mains ordered. All the food came at the same time, served on cold plates. Wife's main did not arrive. Asked 3 times, and told it was on its way. 20 minutes later, it was discovered on another table. COLD! They had basically two people taking orders, and one of the two (young lad) not having a clue. Nor did have a clue how to serve, as he just plonked the missing food on the table without eye contact. When I ask for wet ones to wipe our hands due to the BBQ ribs.... also slammed on the table. Another person came to ask if everything was OK. Mentioned the cold food and the starter arriving at the same as the main, and wife's missing meal. He offered us a free drink, I declined. I said what they really needed was more "trained" staff. Two other tables chased for food, and got food out of sequence. It was a complete farce, and I shall not be returning anytime soon. The previous front of house manger has left (Michael), and Christine has left too, to work in Kidderminster. They now only have one person working behind the bar. Also, whilst in the bar area given prawn crackers..... Tough to eat, obviously stale. AVOID.... Sorry, nearly forgot the best bit..... I had to ask for the bill 3 times, and each time they kept coming back asking if we wanted coffees or a sweet.... What was the best bit? When I paid the bill, I was asked if I had enjoyed my meal, I said no, not really. They clearly didn't understand and replied, O good!!!!

The food here is amazingly good, i have been many times to the buffet.. Just keep ordering and…read moreordering and they bring it out fresh... Thats monday- thursday.. Other wise very expensive.. Manager is a miserable git but is easily ignored :-)

As with most Chinese restaurants, soothing flute instrumentals of popular songs are played at a low volume for customers and the tables inside are decorated with red and white tablecloths and laid out with both chopsticks and knives and forks. The menu offers all the usual curries, stir fries and starters you'd expect, but then exceeds expectations with its diverse selection of seafood dishes, all of which sound very appetising, but are sadly quite pricey. Pale, click-and-fit wooden floors and white wallpapered walls give the restaurant a sort of clinical feeling and the ambience inside definitely isn't quite up to scratch, but the staff are friendly and relaxed (they don't try to rush you out of your seat) and in my experience, the food is always of a good standard.

Seriously top notch Chinese food…read more What I ordered over 2 visits within a 4 day period... - Crispy seaweed Great little appetizer that is the perfect combo of salty sweet. Enough for 1 or 2 people max. - BBQ spare ribs NOTE: this is chinese BBQ, not American BBQ style -- so the sauce is a thick red color, that's perfectly sweet and spicy. Meat was the perfect amount of tenderness, where the meat falls off the bone, without ALL of it coming off at once. Great value, decent portion size. Enough for 1-3 people. - Duck Pancakes The name puts a lot of Americans off, but anyone who has tried this, always orders it again. I'd say 70% of the tables in the restaurant had this item... duck is really well butchered, cooked and falls straight off the bone. Plum sauce is perfect, everything perfect. So good. 1/4 duck enough for 1-2 people. - Crispy shredded beef Crispy, and sweet. Exactly what you crave when you decide it's a chinese food kinda night. I've had other versions of this where the beef strands are a little bigger, that I actually prefer, but the dish was still good. Good portion size 2-3 people - Crispy squid Salty, crispy, with sweet dipping sauce. More of the same -- another awesome dish that satisfies everything you look for in a chinese meal. Prices can run up to 20 per person for food, with approx. 1 starter and 2 entree dishes (you'll be full!)... Worth every penny and already craving it again!
