Dr Santos is one of the gentlest dentist I have ever encountered. I went to see her for a tooth extraction and was expecting it to be very uncomfortable and possibly painful. I was wrong. I didn't even feel the needle with the numbing agent going into my gums nor did I have any pain or discomfort while the tooth was being extracted. I have been taking my kids here for like 8 years. It's always a good experience from the front desk check in to the hygienist to interactions with Dr. Santos. I trust this office to be honest. They have never upsold me on something we do not need. At one point they stopped taking my insurance so I stopped going and had to find another dentist who did. That dentist was fine up until recently they said I needed all this work done. I decided to come back to Dr. Santos and get my teeth cleaned and a second opinion. It turns out the other dentist straight up lied and I don't need that extra dental work. So even without dental insurance I would rather come see Dr. Santos and her team because I can trust them. As someone who normally dreads going to the dentist, I really appreciated Dr. Santos' cheery demeanor as well as all the extra COVID precautions that were in place because of the pandemic. My bridge came loose on one side and I was referred to Dr. Santos by a trusted friend. I actually had problems with my bridge 6 months ago but I didn't want to risk going to the dentist while I was pregnant during a pandemic. But when my teeth started to hurt, I knew I couldn't put it off anymore. First, the office only allows one patient in the lobby at any given point so you have to call them from the parking lot and they let you know when it's safe to go inside. They do a screening as well as take your temp when you arrive. Everyone had masks and patients were all in individual rooms with walls separating each patient. I also noticed there were air filters in the hallway. The pens at the front desk are separated into two cups: one for used pens and one for clean pens which have been disinfected. There was also hand sanitizer on the counter. Know that Dr. Santos and her staff are doing everything they can to keep you safe during a pandemic. Second, Dr. Santos and her staff are professional and friendly. They were very warm and helpful over the phone and I got that same vibe when I walked into the office. Prices were very reasonable and competitive with other local dentists. I really liked that Dr. Santos genuinely seemed to enjoy her job and that I could tell she was smiling a lot even though she was covered up with a face mask. Sometimes you have a dentist who seems to hate their work and that really puts a damper on things but that will not happen at this office. Third, Dr. Santos is trustworthy. I had another dentist tell me after looking at my bridge that they would have to cut it off and replace the whole thing. Dr. Santos took a look during my consult and said she would first try to get the bridge off in one piece because then she could just fix the problem and cement it back in place. This was to keep costs down for me. But she also said if the bridge wouldn't come off from tapping then she would have to cut it off and then we'd have to replace the whole thing. I appreciated that she didn't just jump to the most expensive option first and it made me feel comfortable she wasn't trying to scam me like the other dentist. In the end she was unable to get the bridge off in one piece but it was important to me that she tried to keep cost down for me. I am extremely pleased with the work so far and will be returning next week to have my new bridge cemented into place. If you are looking for a dentist, Dr. Santos is an exceptional one and you should at least go in for a consult and see for yourself. There was plenty of free parking behind the building and the location was very easy to find. read more
