Six months later, we were out of town and my Dad told me about a sale Tractor Supply had on a Winchester 26 gun safe. We stopped in to view the gun safe. There were 5 safes on the floor and two of them were Winchesters. There were no others in the back. After looking at a larger Winchester safe, we decided on the larger one because it also was on sale. The check out clerk had to call someone to open the safe. This person was not a warm person. She almost turned me off from the purchase. We asked if TS would or could deliver. The answer was no. Was there anyone locally who could deliver? She suggested maybe Aaron's. When we picked up the safe, a young guy helped load the gun safe and was very friendly.

However the guy who adopted her the day before and brought her back because of a "family emergency" is low on my people list. YVAS has evolved into a professional, compassionate, and highly efficient operation. Their length of stay for animals is impressively short--far below the national average--which speaks volumes about their dedication to finding loving homes quickly and responsibly. This is not a shelter that warehouses animals or euthanizes for space; this is a shelter that works for every single life. What's even more remarkable is that they do all of this with very little funding from city and county contracts, yet they operate a million-dollar-plus organization with integrity, transparency, and heart. Most of the leadership team has been there for nearly a decade (or longer!) and many of them hold nationally recognized certifications in animal care and shelter management. Their experience shows--in the way they care for the animals, train their staff, and educate the public. If you've read negative reviews from the past or from individuals who may not fully understand how shelters operate, I encourage you to take a second look. Shortly afterward,...we noticed that our toy started coughing. We took him to our vet and was told that he had contracted kennel cough. This is the ONLY place that we took him for grooming during that time so we're sure that this is where the infection came from. We are VERY DISAPPOINTED with the quality of service that we received from their grooming services. They lack any screening process for sick animals who can come in contact with your loved ones. We will definitely NOT use their services again or patronize their store.
