I always drive by here and always see it very busy in the morning. I was curious about it. Why is it so busy. I can see and taste why. Great location for it. Off the main road on the corner. They have very limited parking spaces in the front. They do offer driver-thu. Do not be discouraged by this. They do have some availability for parking across the street for now. Subject to change. They have a small indoor dining area. You have a large party with you. Definitely recommend getting it to go. Not only they offer wonderful donuts but also great breakfast sandwiches.! If need something to wash it down. They have hot or cold beverages for sale. People have question why they are chewy than others. Still full of flavor. I will tell you personally, it actually tastes good the next day. Usually most doughnuts tend to dry out. Not with them. Still full of flavor and still soft and chewy. I don't not know if that was their intention but nicely done. Very tasty the day I bought them and still great taste the next day. Not all of them, but the ones I ordered were bigger than normal. Larger than normal ones you usually see. Rare thing but worth it! The larger ones they may charge for two. Super friendly staff. May not have a lot of people in some capacity but they are very friendly and helpful to the ones that they do have there. If you are hungry and in mood for something to eat in the morning. Must try on your way in the morning. read more

The guy working the window should be FIRED. I ordered a dozen of donuts and two of them were the blueberry cake and I specifically ordered those two. But when I checked the box they weren't in there. I went back and I told him that I'm missing the blueberry cake that I ordered and he said "well let me tell you what you ordered" and I said I know what came out my mouth. Then he started going on and on so I just said that I won't come back and he said "yea drive off". It won't be a good business if you have rude workers. read more

The apple fritters are fantastic! And everything else I've tried as well. I especially love the sausage, cheese and jalapeño kolache.

I love this place and their donuts. They are light and airy, very soft. I loved the dark chocolate they used too. The cookies and cream was also great. Ive also had friendly cashiers. read more

I grew up eating Shipley's donuts and they were always wonderful! Today I went and got some donuts and they were not good at all. They tasted old and barely had any glaze on them. They were also out of milk. They were friendly but I probably wouldn't go back to this location again. read more

When we first walked into this store, the balooga whale of a man that was running the cashier stand was verbally and visibly upset. A lady orders "can i have half a dozen glazed?" The whale exclaims in anger murming under his breath "what the hell, this is ridiculous!" That is the atmosphere when you enter this place. I watched this man actually run off two customers and curse under his breath at the 4 people before us and 5 people after in a matter of ten minutes. If they dont fire him, this place will surely be out of business by fall. Will never return. Ps: know exactly what you want when you get to the counter because if you dont belt it out perfectly in one sentence this guy will talk under his breath (as if you cant hear him) about how ridiculous it is that he has to do his job and actually work. what a way to wake up! Come on down to the donut shop! They might only be known for their customer service being the worst youll ever hope to see negative five stars from me. UPDATE: they tried to have us contact them to "make things right". We called, they said they would call is back. They never did. What did you expect. Quality service meet's quality customer care lol read more

The HUGE guy at the counter was a HUGE jerk. He was not only rude but snapping at customers while they ordered, and cursing every time to the door opened because he was visibly angry people had the audacity to come get donuts. I did try to let them know about this guy (they could hear him trust me) and all we got was a "I know sorry" ‍ SKIP IT read more

Online Ordering was easy. What have you guys done to the donuts? Very disappointed with the smaller size of the donuts, plus the taste is different for the blueberry cake and the plain glazed. read more

I'm from Texas so Shipley and kolaches are my thing. The donuts are okay and I had high hopes for the kolaches but there's just something about them that's always off. Other than that the donuts are pretty good, just wouldn't be my top choice for donuts anymore read more

Gnats live here!! Not to mention most the employees have no sense of detail cleaning. Odds are the donuts you wanted where in the back on the many trays nobody has time to check. Don't ask for fairness here they'll throw you a boomerang and wonder why you couldn't catch it. Over all the environment was great, bunch of Locals looking for the closest thing to "quality" service. read more

I'm a strong supporter for the mom and pop donut shops but this Shipleys in particular is awesome! I always have to stop by went I travel to Florida from Texas. The Glazed donuts are always fresh and hot! The customer service is superb! read more

Good glazed donuts and customer service was wonderful. They had a drive through which is convenient for people that need to stop by before work, church or school, which is nice. My dad had bought Coffee and he mentioned it was good coffee. The kids loved their sprinkled donuts. The Oreo donut was actually pretty good too, Oreo wasn't stale and it was sweet. Definitely a satisfied customer. read more

I was REALLY excited to go to Shipley. My experience was from the Hattiesburg, MS store while I was in college at USM. We tried 6 donuts & a cinnamon roll. The donuts were given to us in 5 separate small bags. One bag held 3 donuts & the one on bottom was crushed. The yeast donuts were ALL undercooked & doughy. The cake donuts were EXCELLENT! The cinnamon roll didn't have much of a cinnamon taste & was ALSO doughy. We will give you another chance, but expect more. read more

So my boys and I love, love, love Shipley's. We all have our favorites: I love sugar coated, my oldest loves chocolate iced and my youngest loves donut holes. The donuts are amazing quality, pricing is decent and they have a great selection most of the time. Staff is always friendly and the building and drive thru are nice. The only negative I could add is that sometimes the icing is super sweet (but that can be expected) and in the bag of 1 dozen donut holes for my youngest we get anywhere from 7-11 donut holes each time and I hate paying $2 and not knowing if we are going to get what we pay for. Guess I'll mention that next time I go! Besides that, great products and service. read more

I have been to this location only 4 times and have had great service every time. They even did a special request on 4 eclairs for me. The owner was even going to make a run to Walmart to get a small decorating tip to make it perfect!! Arrived at Shipley Donuts at 7:30 Sunday morning. The person at the counter pointed his finger at me and barely spoke a word to me. I ordered a dozen glazed donuts. Cold as ice! Why aren't there hot or warm donuts at 7:30 on Sunday morning? read more

The first few consecutive days we visited the service was great. We stopped by this morning and the worker had the hardest time getting our order. After repeating ourselves however many times, we thought we finally got it straight. Paid at the window and waited, received our receipt, then waited and got told to pay again. Finally we received our box and our order was wrong. We ordered 2 glazed blueberry cake and a strawberry sprinkle, but here we are. read more

Sad. My only guess is that Texas isn't a donut state. I'm not sure why they are considered a Texan institution, but maybe it's a nostalgia thing. The donuts aren't that great, and many of the little local places do it better. The service was bad, and by 1:00 pm, the donuts were good and stale. I would never go back. The cake donuts are just standard. When I saw buttermilk donuts, I thought ok, this could be different. Nope. Junk. read more
