I always drive by here and always see it very busy in the morning. I was curious about it. Why is it so busy. I can see and taste why. Great location for it. Off the main road on the corner. They have very limited parking spaces in the front. They do offer driver-thu. Do not be discouraged by this. They do have some availability for parking across the street for now. Subject to change. They have a small indoor dining area. You have a large party with you. Definitely recommend getting it to go. Not only they offer wonderful donuts but also great breakfast sandwiches.! If need something to wash it down. They have hot or cold beverages for sale. People have question why they are chewy than others. Still full of flavor. I will tell you personally, it actually tastes good the next day. Usually most doughnuts tend to dry out. Not with them. Still full of flavor and still soft and chewy. I don't not know if that was their intention but nicely done. Very tasty the day I bought them and still great taste the next day. Not all of them, but the ones I ordered were bigger than normal. Larger than normal ones you usually see. Rare thing but worth it! The larger ones they may charge for two. Super friendly staff. May not have a lot of people in some capacity but they are very friendly and helpful to the ones that they do have there. If you are hungry and in mood for something to eat in the morning. The guy working the window should be FIRED. I ordered a dozen of donuts and two of them were the blueberry cake and I specifically ordered those two. But when I checked the box they weren't in there. I went back and I told him that I'm missing the blueberry cake that I ordered and he said "well let me tell you what you ordered" and I said I know what came out my mouth. Then he started going on and on so I just said that I won't come back and he said "yea drive off". It won't be a good business if you have rude workers. read more

When we first walked into this store, the balooga whale of a man that was running the cashier stand was verbally and visibly upset. A lady orders "can i have half a dozen glazed?" The whale exclaims in anger murming under his breath "what the hell, this is ridiculous!" That is the atmosphere when you enter this place. I watched this man actually run off two customers and curse under his breath at the 4 people before us and 5 people after in a matter of ten minutes. If they dont fire him, this place will surely be out of business by fall. Will never return. Ps: know exactly what you want when you get to the counter because if you dont belt it out perfectly in one sentence this guy will talk under his breath (as if you cant hear him) about how ridiculous it is that he has to do his job and actually work. what a way to wake up! Good glazed donuts and customer service was wonderful. They had a drive through which is convenient for people that need to stop by before work, church or school, which is nice. So my boys and I love, love, love Shipley's. We all have our favorites: I love sugar coated, my oldest loves chocolate iced and my youngest loves donut holes. The donuts are amazing quality, pricing is decent and they have a great selection most of the time. Staff is always friendly and the building and drive thru are nice. The only negative I could add is that sometimes the icing is super sweet (but that can be expected) and in the bag of 1 dozen donut holes for my youngest we get anywhere from 7-11 donut holes each time and I hate paying $2 and not knowing if we are going to get what we pay for. I was REALLY excited to go to Shipley. My experience was from the Hattiesburg, MS store while I was in college at USM. We tried 6 donuts & a cinnamon roll. The donuts were given to us in 5 separate small bags. One bag held 3 donuts & the one on bottom was crushed. The yeast donuts were ALL undercooked & doughy. The cake donuts were EXCELLENT! The cinnamon roll didn't have much of a cinnamon taste & was ALSO doughy. We will give you another chance, but expect more. read more

I have been to this location only 4 times and have had great service every time. They even did a special request on 4 eclairs for me. The owner was even going to make a run to Walmart to get a small decorating tip to make it perfect!!
