I went into the Tomball Shipley's at 4:17PM on Wednesday, July 2, 2025. The employee user name on my receipt is, Rufina. I had a small order of 2 sacks of donut holes. I present my card for payment. The person waiting on me states she needs my card and will process my payment at their drive thru window. In inquired what was the reason for doing the transaction at the window, she stated the POS machine on the inside counter was not working. I proceed to hand her my card, as she is at the device processing my payment, I notice she quickly removed her cell phone from her right rear pocket appearing as though she was lifting it over the POS machine or my card. She made a swift move and put the phone back in her pocket. I immediately said, "excuse me did you happen to just take a picture of my card?" She looked as though she didn't want to answer so I repeated myself to her. She walked over to me and handed my card back. She acknowledged my question, and stated she had not taken a photo. Her reasoning for taking out her phone was that it rang or vibrated so she was checking it. I asked if she could see why I was asking her about possibly taking a picture of my card. She did pull her phone and flashed something from photos which as quickly as she did it appeared as if the last 2 images were red color being the same color as my payment card. I walked out and immediately suspended that card. I'm replacing it asap. It may have been nothing, but when you are handling a customers card with confidential information you should not be fidgeting with your cell phone, thinking the customer is not noticing. read more

I always get the ham and cheese kolache, which is my favorite thing that Shipley makes. I think they should add a ham and cheese with jalapeno and I would be in heaven. I also order donuts for my family, and I always get them in the large box where they don't have to squeeze them in on their sides, and the donuts are so much better. I never knew that you could request this before, but here it is. So request them lying flat!! I am a regular coffee girl and theirs is very good. I think Shipley has the best donuts in Houston, and if you get them in that box that doesn't require squeezing the donuts in, standing up, they have more glaze and it is better. Terrible Service. I gave the lady at the drive through my order. She had the most foul attitude I have ever felt with for someone in the customer service industry. I then gave her my card to pay she hands me my card back and my order and closes the window and stood on the other side of the closed window waiting for me to pull off. I get home realize my order is wrong go back to mention she forgot my donut holes and she handed me a bag with only 8 donut holes and they were cold and stale as if they were sitting out all night. She didn't offer to warm them up, she didn't offer an apology, she didn't offer to make anything right. All she did was hand me the partial bag of donut holes and closed the window again. Then when I called in to complain I asked to speak with the manager to make my complaint known. The manager said we will take with her so she understands how to communicate. My response was you should talk to her so she doesn't cause your business to close as most of their sales are from drive through. I went in this morning at 6:00 and ordered doughnuts. This was the chocolate doughnut I received and was shocked at how small it was. Then I took out my cinnamon roll and it was some other roll with nuts. Thought I would go ahead and eat it but it was so tough and chewy (imagine leather) I couldn't eat it. I don't normally post complaints. But I asked the lady at the Shipley donut in Tomball this morning, for three glaze donuts, and a strawberry mango pineapple energy drink. I pay for my stuff and then she comes out with a pineapple drink that honestly tasted disgusting. and and then proceeded to tell me after I paid for that drink & donuts, that they don't serve the specific energy drink, even though it's on the menu. she literally asked me twice to verify that I wanted that drink, and still gave me the wrong one. I wouldn't really highly recommend this donut shop. I I would hate for this to happen to somebody else. read more

This is the worst Shipley's I've ever been to. I ordered at 9 am half a dozen of glazed donuts, donut holes, and kolaches. These were cold and you could even tell they were old. Most likely leftovers from the day before I couldn't believe how disgusting they were. No one ate them and when I told my mother about this location she told me it was the worst one she'd ever been as well. That the last time she went she had the same problem, and when she spoke to them about the situation they put the donuts in the MICROWAVE!!! Let me say that again they reheated her donuts in the MICROWAVE instead of making fresh new ones or giving her new ones that were ready. Talk about DISGUSTING. Nope not again I learned my lesson and I won't be back. Be my guest but cold donuts are already gross and then microwaving it's like ummm that should be a felony. Yuck. read more

I am a frequent customer of the old Shipleys in Magnolia Texas. I visit there every morning for their amazing service and their coffee. For some reason it's my favorite in town. I love their coffee so much that I often visit Tomball to get another coffee later in the day because my Shipleys closes early, the Shipleys in Tomball doesn't close until 5 PM. This is the third day in a row I have tried to come get a hot coffee at 1:30 PM yesterday was at 3pm and the day before that was at 4pm. All three days I was told that they don't have hot coffee past 1 PM. I asked why and the very young girl that works there said because of the health department they make them throw it out after 1 PM which I know is bull crap because I come through here all the time and they seem to have all the times that she's not working. I do know that it probably cost the owner $.30 for a bag of coffee and then they charge me 4.00 for a large coffee so I think it would be worth it to the owner to maybe make a pot of coffee for the customer who continually comes through and ask for one. But not to worry I will not be coming to the Shipleys anymore and it doesn't seem like a lot of others will be either considering the reviews that you have on here. As an owner, you should probably get your workers under controland tell them to stop lying to customers read more

Came her after visiting a Lame Kolache place by Spring Cypress & Louetta! We love Shipleys and thats a fact! Dont know why all the Sour Pus reviews we walked in close to noon on sunday and they had a bevy of donuts and Kolaches! Kolaches kept warm already and employee's smiling and sweer service! Ivr been to many Shipleys and tried those small donut shops in shopping centers and WE ALWAYS Come back to Shipleys. My kids prefer them and let me just say WE FOUND our New Go to in Tomball! This location has been around as long as I can remember craving donuts in the Tomball area. I like to go there for breakfast when I want donuts for breakfast. They have good kolaches. Last minute decision to get donuts this morning, so with no makeup and still in PJs I went through the drive thru... which I typically don't do anywhere. Poor choice on my part.. the lady was not enjoying her morning at all. I repeated the six donuts we needed (3 sets of 2, so only 3 different flavors of donuts) 2 times and she kept repeating it wrong (she was annoyed at me!) So to no surprise when I got home, we didn't get exactly what we wanted. If you want donuts, go anywhere else, you'll get better service.. plus, they all taste the same around here anyway. read more

I bought a dozen creme filled donuts from Shipley's in Tomball. They all looked like a lot of filling was inside. Wrong. Each had a pea sized amount in it. If it wasn't for the drive, I would have returned them. Waste of $$. read more
