The place is clean and looks like the average donut shop. The service could be friendlier that's the only reason it's not more stars. The counter lady was sort of rude but other than that the food is good. Do-Nuts were soft and fresh. read more

I came late in the day, and I was greeted by Wendy. She was super nice and helpful, and she helped me to pick out a good selection for my new-to-Houston fiancé to try. I cannot emphasize enough how sweet and nice Wendy was. She also makes REALLY cute chibi art, which makes it worth checking out this specific slot in general. Her drawings look like they belong in a manga, very good stuff. As a native Houstonian myself, the dougnuts are great as usual. Will return. read more

they have great hours here. service is speedy. the donut holes were not warm however.

This used to be our favorite donut shop. No more..we went different times of day and just a week apart; both times the donuts looked like a very inexperienced person made them. Icing was sloppy. Tasted like they were old donuts maybe fried in old oil. Their prices went up like just about anywhere, but the donuts got worse. The ladies that work there look miserable. The place didn't look clean. I should've walked out after seeing a bug in the glass case, but since it was our favorite spots, I wanted to give it a couple of chances. We will not be going back. There are other donut shops that has better tasting donuts and better priced. read more

I honestly don't understand how this location has such high reviews. Every time we have gotten donuts here, they were meh. This time, this donut tasted like it was cooked in grease that some kind of meat was cooked in. And this was literally the ONLY filling in the donut. I put it back in the box so you could see how much was left compared to a whole one. I kept tearing looking for the filling to see what kind it was and I finally got down to this part to find a tiny bit of apple. We love Shipley's. We moved here from MS and they were always amazing. Maybe it's just this location here but we will be finding a different donut shop. read more

Shipley Do-Nuts - a variety of donuts - Donuts Near Me - The Woodlands, Texas

Honestly just incredibly disappointed, we went 20 minutes before closing time and the donuts were old and quite literally stale. The service was disappointing as well, the lady made a face when I came in and the second I left at 7:42 she closed the store even though there was lady right outside, who wanted some donuts more than 15 minutes before closing time. used to be one of my favorite donut places but after that experience I don't think I'll be coming back. read more

Shipley Do-Nuts - a chocolate donut with sprinkles - Donuts Near Me - The Woodlands, Texas

Terrible I'm not sure who puts a hotdog in a Kolache but it's disgusting!! Will never come back and waist my money read more

Do I love donuts? Yes! Do I love their kolaches? Heck yes! When I moved away from Houston I missed Shipleys so much. Not that I moved back and I have this awesome little shop less than 4 miles from my home and I here more than I would like to admit. Are the 10 pounds I gained since moving back home partially to this easy and convenient drive thru? Maybe Don't forget a coffee on your visit. read more

Donuts were left on a rack for god knows how long and just stale and cold...literally just left the establishment

OK, let's not take this the wrong way...... Donuts are fantastic. Fresh. Great assortment. Fair price. What's to complain about you ask. You ask for specific types and styles and the counter help does not understand English. Sorry but I ask and point and ask again slowly but it takes them 2-3 tries to pick the correct ones. I'll keep coming back for the delicious orbs of yeast, dough and sugar. read more

This location is terrible. Almost everything is stale and overpriced. Literally just left and my kids won't touch the food.

SHIPLEY'S IN-CROWD This Shipley's location is actually not too packed in the mornings (around 7:15am) and major plus is that their donuts are always HOT HOT HOT :D I mean, maybe at a weird time like 2pm they aren't, but this (to me) is an awesome perk in the mornings. Saturday FYI - it's crowded but you kind of feel popular for being there. I noticed that in a single donut line, there stood a fancy business exec, high school's most popular, a handsome tan guy who looked lake-bound, and other socially active looking people. That may sound crazy but nutshell is - great breakfast, all the cool kids go here on Saturday mornings. Valuable Insight: get a sausage /cheese kolache, chocolate filled glazed donut, and chocolate milk ...you're welcome :) read more

Warm, fresh glazed and chocolate iced donuts...best donuts ever, anywhere in the world. I will fight anyone who says I'm wrong. The hot chocolate is also very good...not going to fight anyone regarding that... read more

Literally the best donuts i have ever had. No other donut shop or brand could top them. Fresh flavors and such good quality. Their flavors are amazing and definitely a must try. The staff is super sweet and nice they are the best! read more

Shipley Do-Nuts - Bullseye donut is the best! creme filled, sprinkle and glazed - Donuts Near Me - The Woodlands, Texas

Acknowledging that there are different tastes and preferences, I have never cared for these donuts. The taste and texture are mediocre at best, and I would describe Shipley's as the McDonald's of the donut world. I would have given an extra star if the front end staff had been more congenial and welcoming but they weren't. read more

My boyfriend, Rusty, loves Shipley's do-nuts! They are super friendly and fast! Thank you! read more

It is a Shipley's. The donuts are sweet, whether they are glazed or baked or cake or stuffed or a bearclaw. They are not amazing donuts that you will want to trade your children for, but they will make your children squeal with joy when you come home with a bag. The coffee isn't great (sometimes a little watery, sometimes a little burned), but it also is not terrible. Both you and your spouse will appreciate it, especially if your children are squealing. The donuts and coffee pair well. On weekdays, staff are attentive and speedy and will be patient with folks who are entirely too picky with what they want to put into their dozen donuts for the office meeting later that morning. They seem to be more relaxed on weekends, but hey: so am I. La verdad es que (as others have noted) es mas facil para hablar con los empleados en Español que en Ingles. If you are bilingual or solamente se habla, this is fine - but be prepared to be patient if you only speak English. They will take care of you, I promise! read more

If you are in the area this is a MUST! Even better if it's 6am! Even if you get the simple glazed donut you will not regret it. It melts in your mouth! Everything is amazing! Establishment is clean and the staff was really polite! Would def recommend stopping in.. not much seating inside, prices are good! read more

Shipleys has the best kolache In the WORLD this place leaves other places in the dust come between when they first open and 1 for freshest do nuts and kolaches read more

It's a donut shop. Nothing else. There is no fancy lounge or gourmet coffee with whip cream. The fluorescent lighting dares you to stay for more than 5 minutes. But if your looking for one of the best glazed donuts west of the Mississippi, do yourself a favor and stop by and pick up 12. You will be disappointed in yourself if you only get two or three because later in the day the craving will hit you as your brain remembers that warm, flakey glaze from earlier in the day. I would have given this place 5 stars if it weren't for the damn fluorescent lighting. I find it unnecessarily bright, especially considering people usually stop by early in the morning. If you weren't fully awake before you walked in the place, you sure as hell will be when you walk out. Don't forget your SPF 30. read more

Turn Off your open sign if you are not open. It's more favorable than me seeing it at 4:45am, driving in, coming to the door and pulling a locked up door. To add insult, your 5 employees pretend they do not see me. Not a smile, nod, wave, good morning... they just ignore me like I'm an idiot for believing the flaming red neon OPEN sign was legit... thanks guys! Off to Snowflake Donuts where they ARE OPEN and SUPER NICE! read more

Seemed like your run-of-the-mill donut shop with nothing terribly different to make it stand out, except that I think I saw donuts with jalapeños which would be very interesting. Got a butterfly donut and only ate half. Should have tried the jalapeño donut. read more

I rate this a 2 star based on poor customer service...there were 2 servers, one waiting on customer...I walked up to counter and gave my order to non busy one...right in middle of my order, she turned to the other server and start speaking in Spanish to her (both of them were Mexican American) when I finally gave her my order she was putting the wrong order in the bag...I had to correct her.. All while my order being filled she is speaking Spanish to other server and customer.. Highly unprofessional.. read more

Being new to the area... I kept hearing "You haven't tried Shipley's yet?!" So Saturday morning, when I finally crawled from tmy slumber and woke up the roommates, I had them take me! So we got there around noon. Ordered a random dozen (about $8) and got in the car. OMG. Warm, gooey, fresh, amzing, mouth waters, just GO. Don't walk, don't think...GO! Chicago doesn't have anything this good. The only down fall I have was the creamed filled are a little sweet. But I will still buy them lol just have to cut them in half or share! The cherry glazed was my favorite! I only gave four starts because I need to try some coffee and other items to give a full 5. I feel that makes it fair lol read more

My son and I both love the sausage kolaches. He's also a big fan of the donut holes. Everything is always fresh in hot ready to go.

Great donuts! Way better than the ones we had from Sundale and much better service. :)

Very friendly and prompt service! No complaints. We will be coming back in the near future.

Fantastic selections! Oh my wow the donuts are very fresh and completely delicious. Highly recommend the blueberry banana bread donuts. Yum!! read more

I was told that one of Texas's greatest products is donuts. So I was VERY excited on a recent trip to Houston to pop into Shipley's for some out-of-this world Lone Star donuts. I was less than impressed. It was the afternoon so maybe a warm, freshly-made batch is eyes roll in the back of my head good. But room temperature they're nothing special, much like Krispy Kreme. Since I discovered Rainbow Donuts in Phoenix, the donut bar has been set very high and Shipley fell short. read more

The customer service was great and the seating was good. I just don't like the donuts. For people who like Shipley's donuts you will like this location, it's just not for me. read more

As others have noted, there is nothing cool or trendy about this place. Words like basic and old school come to mind. But the doughnuts are very good. Much better than most doughnut shops. Plus they're open later in the day than most places, which is a plus for me. Because I'm not typically up at the crack of dawn and when I do get up, I'm not in the mood for something to eat until I've been awake for a couple of hours. The people who work there are friendly enough. And they're quick. Excellent doughnuts, good service and convenient hours. What more could I ask for? read more

Worst customer service ever! Waited in line with my kids Saturday and was skipped over for service four times. Ridiculous! Will gladly drive a few extra miles to go to a decent donut shop. read more

Normally, I wouldn't be writing a review about a do-nut shop or a shipleys but I just felt that I had to for this one instance. I am not going to speak on the company Shipleys as a whole but rather for this one specific location. This Shipleys is GREAT!! It truly feels like walking into your family when you go there. They're always so nice and helpful. I've been going there for years and have gotten numerous free items from do-nuts to drinks just for no other reason than their generosity. It's always all smiles when going to the Shipleys! read more

Iv been coming here for over 15 years. Breakfast is always fresh! The women who work there are always sweet!
