I handed it to the cashier, who almost immediately said the box was "unsound" and flipped it over to show a minor tear. When I asked of she could tape it, she asked the other cashier (maybe her manager?) to come inspect the box and let me know if it could be taped. The other cashier walks over and LITERALLY started driving his knuckles into the small tear, punching it over and over. Obviously, he made the hole bigger. When I pointed out that he was making the tear bigger, he looked at me like I was the rudest person he'd ever encountered and walked away. The other lady came back and let me know the new box would be $9. I believe that, for whatever reason, these folks are damaging return boxes to make a sale. Please watch out if you use this FedEx.
