I just moved - all my belongings but no furniture as I moved out of a fully furnished apartment - from Nashville to New York, although it was a lot more complicated. I spent a little over 3 weeks with my folks in California before I went from Nashville to NYC, and that created the need for a shipping and storage company. Enter Ship2Storage! When I was initially looking at many shipping and storage companies to choose from, Mike was very helpful in explaining what Ship2Storage does, how they do it, and how they are able to keep the prices low. He also helped me with the process of shipping my boxes to their warehouse. Once my boxes got to them, I had some weight and boxing issues, which to my relief were handled extremely well by Sandy. She kept me in the loop on what she was doing and what she would need from me. She also helped with reboxing and pushing the order from her end to make it easier for me. She truly went above and beyond to make this move as easy for me as possible. I received my boxes a couple days ago in NYC, and given the sheer quantity of how much stuff I was moving (a lot of books!), I am very happy with how my boxes and the content within has arrived. Easy five stars. After finishing school, I had to move on my own from Berkeley to Portland and I had two months in between in Japan. I had to put my stuff somewhere and didn't want to pay for two extra months of rent at my old place. In addition, there was no way all the stuff would fit in my car so local storage would not work. I found that Pods were all $1000+ and also local (Portland) storage facilities like Public Storage do not allow you to send stuff to them for storage. Ship2Storage was the perfect option. For ~$400, I was able to ship 10 boxes to Temecula, store them for 2 months, and have them shipped to Portland. This is a lot cheaper than Pods and I think its even cheaper than shipping each box (one way) to Portland through FedEx on your own. The user interface is easy to use and the prices are easy to understand. When you want to store a box, simply print out the shipping label and drop it off at FedEx. When I asked to have the 10 boxes shipped to Portland, they all arrived together, so I didn't have to worry about each individual box. I was amazed how difficult it is to shop for different shipping and storage services. For individuals moving a small amount of stuff, like college students moving from a dorm, Ship 2 Storage is great. read more

Ship2Storage is the best way to move if you 1) don't know your next permanent address and 2) you don't have furniture. If your life can fit into boxes, this is the service for you! I researched other ways of transporting my stuff cross-country (PODS, storage units, trailers) and found that S2S was the easiest and most affordable of the options. I suspect that I saved well over $2,000 using this service over a POD and had the piece of mind from not having to transport the boxes by trailer or renting a vehicle to tow my car and haul the boxes from California to Florida. There were a few things that I really liked about this service: * Packages were stored in a secure, air conditioned facility * Your packages can be identified with a name in their inventory (e.g. YourName_Kitchen_01, YourName_Bathroom_03) for easier identification when you need them shipped back. * Mike. Mike can help you with anything! He's a great guy. Like I said, as long as you aren't shipping furniture this is the best way to go. And even then, this could reduce the size vehicle you would need for the rest of your move. And for people moving to or from Hawaii (which I've done) this is an excellent option. I'm surprised that this fantastic service only has 3 Yelp reviews! I was moving from Philadelphia to San Francisco this summer but had a 3-month gap in between, and I didn't have a destination address in SF yet as I only planned to apartment hunt after I get back from my summer vacation. I Googled and found Ship2Storage: The website looked decent and the 2 Yelp reviews they had at that time were both great as well, so I took a leap of faith and used the service. I was really glad that I did! FedEx picked up my boxes from my apartment building, I was able to track them online, and they were shipped to my doorstep within days when I finally had a destination address. Completely hassle-free! (Compared to my friend whose stuffs are still stuck on the East Coast with another moving/ storage company after more than a month...) Also, props to Mike, the founder/ owner who provided top-notch customer service! I've had some billing issues which he took care of very promptly. This service saved me a lot of trouble. After I graduated from college, I was moving to California for a few months and then to New York permanently afterward. I needed to store some things while I rented a room in CA and have them show up in NY in the fall when I got an apartment. Ship 2 Storage worked perfectly--FedEx picked up my boxes from my door, they were stored all summer at a very low cost, and was able to quickly have them shipped to my new place when I got settled. I'd even use Ship 2 Storage again if I needed to store boxes long-term because storage rates in NYC are absurd. Great experience! read more

It's not that expensive and I don't have to worry about my stuff in someone else's hands or if they move or whatever. It's like storing my stuff in a 'cloud' that exists. Exceptional service for college grads and/ or young professionals, that are about to move to a new city. Ship 2 storage is great if you don't have a permanent address and are in between places. After researching several options, I discovered this S2S really was the best fit for me. Turns out you can also save a lot of money if you just have a few boxes to move. I loved having the flexibility of storing my boxes in a safe storage facility until I signed the lease on a new apartment in the San Francisco Bay Area. Mike was extremely helpful and accommodating. I moved from New Jersey to California last month and I feel so lucky to find Ship2Storage online. It is very convenient and saves a lot of time and money. I relocated in mid May. I decided to leave my furnitures to next tenant and just ship my personal things to CA, because moving companies are too expensive (over $3,000). However I didn't have new address at that time, because I only found a temporary housing. I found Ship2Storage and realized that it is exactly what I want. I shipped 10 boxes from NJ before I left and after I found apartment in CA, I shipped them to my new apartment. I got them when I moved in. Totally cost about $800 (all 10 boxes are very heavy). Mike is good and helpful. He replied my emails very fast and helped me as perfect as he can. Great service! Like many said, ship2storage is great if you don't know your next permanent address when you move (aka when you are kicked out of school dorm/apartment). They are also very flexible - originally I bought shipping labels for 6 boxes but ended up only needing 5, and after communication via email Mike gave me a refund. The worst moving experience of my life. I have left multiple emails and voicemails. They have all of my boxes and I have been unable to reach them for over a WEEK. It is shocking. I am in a new house with none of my things. I don't even really know what to do. Their number leads to a voicemail that they never listen to or don't bother to return calls.
